Kaibaman's voice echoed throughout the cavern, filled with his usual absolute confidence.

The two Blue-Eyes White Dragons stood proud, one in front of him, the monster on the field, and one behind, the Duel Spirit, their enormous bodies radiating an oppressive amount of Spirit Energy.

Alexander looked at them for a moment before smiling and quipped back, "That's a pretty big assumption."

Kaibaman snorted and said, "Prove me wrong." Then he announced, "I end my turn."

Alexander started his turn and drew a card before he glanced at his hand, then at Kaibaman's field while thinking, 'A Blue-Eyes White Dragon and a card in the back row. Not exactly an easy board to overcome with the cards at my disposal. For the current meta, 3000 ATK is a pretty high wall to climb... Fortunately, I have no intention of trying to beat it through brute force, as I have other methods I can use.'

Reaching that conclusion, Alexander threw toward the field while announcing, "I begin by activating Graceful Charity. This card allows me to draw 3 cards, then I must discard 2 cards."

The floating card glowed brightly before transforming into an angel-like figure that turned to face Alexander and smiled gently before cupping her hands.

Then the top three cards of his deck shone in an almost blinding light before they slowly floated toward the angel figure's cupped hands.

Alexander mentally reached for all three of them, which joined his hand shortly after.

He quickly looked through them before selecting two cards in his hand and saying, "Okay... I discard these two."

Dark Magician and Magician of Black Chaos in his hand moved toward Alexander's Graveyard, and Kaibaman, who noticed them, raised an eyebrow but didn't comment.

Alexander, however, was already looking at the card he had just drawn, "Next, I activate Reinforcement of the Army."

The Spell Card's effect activated, allowing Alexander to search his Deck for a Level 4 or lower Warrior-Type monster.

He calmly searched through his Deck before pulling out a familiar card and showing it to his opponent while saying, "I chose Rocket Warrior."

After that, Alexander added the card to his hand and then threw another card face-down on his field while announcing, "Then I set one monster."

The face-down card flew out of his hand and enlarged itself before landing on his side of the field.

Alexander looked toward Kaibaman and said, "And I end my turn."

Kaibaman stared at the face-down monster for a moment, then he laughed, "Huahaha! Again?"

His expression became disdainful, "You continue hiding behind these face-down monsters. How pathetic. You're playing like a third-rate duelist!"

Alexander remained calm and asked, "Why rush?"

Kaibaman scoffed and replied, "Because a Duel is meant to be won decisively, not prolonged."

Alexander simply smiled and quipped, "Then perhaps you should try winning."

Kaibaman's expression hardened, "My turn!"

He drew his card, glanced at it, and for a moment, nothing happened, but then his eyes widened before a huge grin spread across his face as he started to laugh, "Hahaha! Hahaha!! Huahaha!!!"

Alexander raised an eyebrow while thinking, 'It has been some time since I've heard the iconic three-stage laugh... For sure he drew another Blue-Eyes White Dragon or something that allows him to summon it.'

Once he stopped laughing like a maniac, Kaibaman held up the card and declared, "With this, the power of Blue-Eyes White Dragon will become absolute!"

He immediately threw the Spell Card in his hand while announcing, "I activate The Melody of Awakening Dragon!"

Alexander's eyes narrowed as he knew that card quite well and knew what was going to happen next.

Meanwhile, Kaibaman continued, "By discarding one card from my hand, I can add up to two Dragon-Type monsters with 3000 or more ATK and 2500 or less DEF from my Deck to my hand!"

He selected a card from his hand and threw it toward the Graveyard, "I discard Heavy Storm."

The card was discarded while the Spell Card shone and transformed into a figure similar to Lord of D., holding a Blue-Eyes White Dragon-shaped guitar as it played some kind of techno music, as two cards in Kaibaman's Deck shone and flew into his hand.

Alexander already knew what was coming as Kaibaman shouted, "I add two Blue-Eyes White Dragons!"

He then looked toward Kaiser Sea Horse and announced, "Now, I shall summon another Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

He pointed toward his monster and explained, "Kaiser Sea Horse can be treated as two Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a LIGHT monster!"

Kaiser Sea Horse disappeared from the field while the Spirit Energy in the cavern suddenly surged before a familiar roar shook the cavern.

Then a second Blue-Eyes White Dragon emerged onto the field right next to the other one.

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon — 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF]

Alexander stared at the monster while thinking, 'Not great... Two Blue-Eyes. Kaibaman now has two copies of the legendary Dragon standing on his field.'

Kaibaman smiled triumphantly as he said, "Now, let us see how you defend yourself from this!"

He pointed toward Alexander's face-down monster and commanded, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Attack!"

The enormous dragon opened its maw and charged the iconic Neutron Blast before firing it toward Alexander's face-down card.

Alexander remained calm and still as the attack was about to strike his face-down card. The monster flipped face-up, revealing a noble-looking elven warrior with its sword raised in a defensive stance.

[Obnoxious Celtic Guard — 1400 ATK / 1200 DEF]

The Blue-Eyes' attack collided with the Celtic Guard with such force that the whole cave shook for a brief moment, yet when the cloud of dust cleared, the Celtic Guardian remained standing.

Kaibaman's expression immediately changed as he exclaimed, "What?!"

Alexander smiled and explained, "Obnoxious Celtic Guard cannot be destroyed by battle by a monster with 1900 or more ATK."

Kaibaman clicked his tongue and commented, "So that's how it is..."

Blue-Eyes' attack had failed to remove Alexander's monster, and Kaibaman clearly wasn't pleased.

He looked at the remaining cards on the field, then back at Alexander and snorted, "Hmph."

He folded his arms and commented, "You have once again hidden behind another defensive monster. How timid."

Alexander shrugged and said, "Seems to be working."

Kaibaman snorted and replied, "Enjoy your false sense of security while you can."

After that, he ended his turn, and Alexander started his and drew.

The moment he saw his next card, a grin spread across his face as he commented, "Perfect."

He threw the card toward the field and announced, "I activate Pot of Greed and draw two cards."

Kaibaman frowned while Alexander couldn't help but smile.

The legendary Spell Card activated once again as the Spell Card shone and transformed into the ugly but lovable pot that spat two cards from its mouth.

The two additional cards entered his hand, and Alexander looked through them, then his eyes settled on one particular card.

He launched it toward the field and said, "I Normal Summon Rocket Warrior in Attack Position!"

The card shone and transformed into a compact, armoured warrior who looked as though someone had taken a knight and rebuilt him with rockets and machinery. His body was encased in bulky metal armour, with broad shoulders, reinforced limbs, and a spiky helmet that concealed whatever lay beneath it.

[Rocket Warrior — 1500 ATK / 1300 DEF]

Kaibaman looked at the monster, then at the two Blue-Eyes White Dragons and laughed, "Hahaha! What is that?"

Alexander didn't answer; he just entered his Battle Phase and pointed toward one of the Blue-Eyes while commanding, "Rocket Warrior. Attack!"

Kaibaman stared at him, then laughed even harder, "Huahaha! You intend to attack Blue-Eyes with a monster possessing only 1500 ATK?"

He shook his head and asked, "Have you finally lost your mind?"

Alexander's smile widened, and he said, "Just watch."

Rocket Warrior transformed itself into a rocket and charged while Blue-Eyes met it head-on.

The two monsters collided, releasing a loud explosion.

For a moment, Alexander's Rocket Warrior appeared to be completely overwhelmed by the Dragon's superior strength, but when the dust settled, Rocket Warrior was still standing, and Kaibaman's mouth widened as he exclaimed, "What?!"

Alexander grinned and commented, "And I didn't lose any Life Points either."

Kaibaman stared at Rocket Warrior in disbelief.

Alexander raised one finger and explained, "During my Battle Phase, Rocket Warrior cannot be destroyed by battle."

He raised another, "Also, I take no Battle Damage from battles involving Rocket Warrior."

Kaibaman's expression darkened as he continued, "And that's not all."

Alexander pointed toward Blue-Eyes and said, "When Rocket Warrior attacks a monster, after damage calculation, the attack target loses 500 ATK until the end of this turn."

The effect took place as Blue-Eyes' ATK dropped while its scales looked a bit dimmer.

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon — 2500 ATK / 2500 DEF]

Kaibaman's eyes narrowed, "So that was your plan. But what's the point?"

"You will see... This is just part of it." Alexander then placed another card face-down and added, "I also set one card."

He looked toward the field and announced, "I end my turn."

The temporary reduction wore off as Blue-Eyes' ATK returned to normal.

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon — 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF]

Kaibaman drew his next card, looked at it, and his expression immediately became displeased as he clicked his tongue, "Tch."

Apparently, the card wasn't particularly useful, but that didn't stop him from continuing his attack.

He entered the Battle Phase and said, "Your Rocket Warrior may be indestructible during your Battle Phase..."

Kaibaman pointed toward the Rocket Warrior on the field and continued, "...But this is my Battle Phase."

He raised his arm, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Destroy Rocket Warrior!"

The Dragon opened its maw and charged the deadly beam; however, Alexander's eyes remained calm as he said, "Hold it! I activate my Trap Card."

The face-down card flipped face-up, "Waboku!"

A protective barrier immediately formed around Alexander's field as he explained, "With Waboku activated, I take no Battle Damage this turn, and my monsters cannot be destroyed by battle."

Blue-Eyes' attack collided with the barrier and, as a result, Rocket Warrior remained standing.

Kaibaman clenched his fist and clicked his tongue in clear annoyance, "Again..."

Alexander simply smiled.

Kaibaman had now tried to destroy Rocket Warrior twice and failed both times.

"Hmph." Kaibaman snorted and ended his turn.

Alexander drew and looked at his new card before a mischievous smile slowly appeared on his face, "Well, well..."

He glanced at Kaibaman and continued, "...I'm usually not a fan of NTR, but sometimes the circumstances force us to do things we don't like."

Kaibaman frowned and asked, "What are you talking about?"

Alexander held up his card and said, "I activate Change of Heart."

Then he threw the Spell Card that shone as Alexander explained, "This card allows me to take control of one of your monsters."

Kaibaman's expression immediately changed, "What?!"

Alexander pointed toward one of the Blue-Eyes and declared, "I'll take this one."

The legendary Dragon moved across the field and came under Alexander's control.

Kaibaman looked genuinely offended, "You dare..."

Alexander smiled and said, "Yes."

He wasn't finished, as Alexander looked toward Obnoxious Celtic Guard before he announced, "Now I'll Tribute Obnoxious Celtic Guard."

The elven warrior disappeared from the field while Alexander raised another card, "Come forth! Dark Magician Girl!"

The card shone brightly before a familiar figure appeared on his side of the field as the young magician materialised with her trademark playful smile, especially when she noticed the Blue-Eyes White Dragon beside her.

[Dark Magician Girl — 2000 ATK / 1700 DEF]

Kaibaman stared at her while Alexander continued, "Dark Magician Girl gains 300 ATK for every Dark Magician or Magician of Black Chaos in the Graveyard."

Then Alexander smiled and asked, "And do you remember what I discarded with Graceful Charity?"

Kaibaman's expression darkened as he replied, "Dark Magician and Magician of Black Chaos."

"Exactly."

Dark Magician Girl's power surged as her ATK increased.

[Dark Magician Girl — 2600 ATK / 1700 DEF]

The magician gave Alexander a playful wink before confidently posing.

Kaibaman's face twitched before he glared at Alexander's field and muttered, "Urgh... Those annoying cards..."

Alexander couldn't help but grin while thinking, 'Now the situation has changed completely. I have a Blue-Eyes under my control. Rocket Warrior is still standing. And Dark Magician Girl has powered herself up. Meanwhile, Kaibaman has only one Blue-Eyes remaining. It's time to counterattack.'

Reaching that conclusion, Alexander didn't waste any more time and announced, "Battle Phase."

Alexander pointed toward the remaining Blue-Eyes and commanded, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Attack!"

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon, as usual, opened its maw and charged the Neutron Blast while Kaibaman's Blue-Eyes White Dragon did the same in an attempt to defend itself, but the two legendary monsters' attacks collided with one another, and since they had the same ATK value, both ended up being destroyed; as a result, Kaibaman's field was cleared, or at least, it appeared to be.

Alexander turned his attention toward Kaibaman and continued, "Rocket Warrior. Attack directly!"

The Rocket Warrior charged toward Kaibaman, but Kaibaman wasn't finished as he exclaimed, "You aren't the only one with tricks!"

He flipped his face-down card and said, "I activate Call of the Haunted!"

In response to the Trap Card activation, rusted chains burst from beneath the Duel Field, writhing through the air like living serpents.

They shot toward Kaibaman's Graveyard before a familiar roar echoed through the cave.

The chains returned, dragging one of the destroyed Blue-Eyes White Dragon returning to the field in Attack Position.

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon — 3000 ATK / 2500 DEF]

Alexander's eyes narrowed, but he kept his calm and allowed Rocket Warrior to continue its attack.

The Rocket Warrior transformed into a rocket and slammed into the revived Blue-Eyes with a fiery explosion, and once again, Rocket Warrior survived. And once again, Blue-Eyes White Dragon's ATK was reduced.

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon — 2500 ATK / 2500 DEF]

Alexander smiled and commanded, "Dark Magician Girl. Attack!"

The magician smiled sweetly and stepped forward before she pointed her staff at the weakened Blue-Eyes White Dragon and launched a powerful blast at it.

The 2600-ATK monster overwhelmed the dragon, and as a result, Blue-Eyes White Dragon was destroyed once again, but this time the attack connected with Kaibaman as the shockwave made him grunt lightly as his Life Points dropped.

Then the battlefield fell silent as Kaibaman stared at the now empty field, then at Rocket Warrior, then at Dark Magician Girl.

His expression was a mixture of irritation and reluctant recognition before he snorted, "Hmph."

He looked toward Alexander and said, "So you are capable of being aggressive after all."

Alexander smiled, "Didn't I tell you?"

He looked at his field, "Sometimes you just have to wait for the right opportunity."
