The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 222 151: Heart Dream Fire, Acquired

The Dream Power spread, flowing through the connection to another Dream Seed.

The next moment, Wang Ya's Illusion Body was torn to shreds.

The Wolf-Headed Black Souls were too fast. Wang Ya's strategy didn't involve wasting Dream Power on them.

"Wang Ya Harak... You..." Zack Antuun froze, his eyes wide. 'He appeared and was killed in an instant... that was way too fast.'

He stared blankly at the scattered fragments of robes when a voice suddenly spoke next to his ear.

"If we attack together and hold her down, it's our only chance to get out of here."

Zack Antuun jumped. A familiar hand clapped his shoulder. 'That stealthy-as-a-ghost technique again... I knew he couldn't have died so easily.' As his heart pounded with shock, he retorted, "Are you kidding me? She's a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice! She also has some kind of invisible, imperceptible attack that radiates death. And with all these City Lord Mansion Wizards and Law Enforcement Wizards, how could we possibly hold her down? Even if we did, we'd never be able to escape."

A Dream Seed emerged from Zack Antuun's body and reformed into the complete form of Wang Ya's Illusion Body. He spoke calmly, "You're the pride of the Antuun Clan, a genius from a great Wizard Clan. Are you going to tell me you think you're weaker than me? I've defeated a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice before."

Zack Antuun's face flushed red. "That's completely different! She's way stronger than my brother was!"

"And are you any weaker than you were back then?!"

Wang Ya's voice echoed in the depths of Zack Antuun's mind, and his breathing grew ragged.

'He's right. I haven't been standing still. I'm stronger now than I was before.'

'If Wang Ya Harak could do it, there's no reason I can't do it now.'

He couldn't lag behind Wang Ya Harak forever... As he watched the back of his fated rival charge unhesitatingly toward Max, Zack Antuun clenched his fists, a crazed look entering his eyes.

"Damn it, I'm all in! I knew nothing good would come from going anywhere with you!"

A powerful surge of Particle Energy erupted from him, briefly merging with his Biological Force Field to create an immense pressure that drew the eyes of everyone present.

In that instant, Zack Antuun's presence was overwhelming.

Max's smile faltered slightly as she watched Zack Antuun with surprise. This was unexpected.

Even the charging Wang Ya was now of secondary concern.

With a light wave of her hand, she sent three Wolf-Headed Black Souls to engage him.

She had already gauged Wang Ya's Power: a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice with very little Particle Energy. At most, he could cast one or two Middle-tier Witchcraft spells. He wasn't much of a threat.

CRACK!

A sound like grinding joints echoed.

Countless threads extended from Zack Antuun's fingers, connecting to the many Puppets he released from his Wizard's Ring. The Puppets came in both humanoid and beast forms, their skin a wood-like brown, and their joints encased in a special Extraordinary Metal.

Most were beast-shaped, designed to leverage the powerful traits of Extraordinary Creatures, allowing them to use their innate Talent Abilities, which were similar to Witchcraft.

The Wizard Puppets stood arrayed behind Zack Antuun. As Particle Energy flowed into them, the Puppet cores in their chests glowed with a faint blue light, establishing a perfectly balanced energy cycle.

Each Puppet radiated a powerful aura, somewhere between a Level 1 and Level 2 Wizard Apprentice.

The nine Puppets at the forefront were fully on par with Level 2 Wizard Apprentices.

This wasn't his limit. As he continued to weave his threads, more and more Puppets emerged from his Wizard's Ring.

"A Puppet Wizard!" Max's eyes turned cold as she watched a hundred Puppets materialize in the air behind Zack Antuun.

CRACK!

With another crack of joints, Zack Antuun yanked his hands back, and the army of Wizard Puppets surged forward like a tidal wave, overwhelming everything in their path.

The display of power was so immense that the expressions of all the other Wizards in the room changed drastically; none of them had anticipated this.

Witchcraft: Puppet Sea

This was the developmental path he had chosen for his Wizard Path, all to one day defeat Wang Ya.

The competition in the Secret Realm had clearly cast a long shadow over his life.

Only by breaking free from that shadow could he surpass himself and surpass Wang Ya Harak.

"This kind of power..." Murphy's eyes widened as he roared, "Quick, stop him!"

Only two wizards from the main force remained, but a flicker of hope now appeared on their despairing faces.

'To think there was someone this powerful among us! Maybe we won't have to die in the jaws of those monsters after all.'

Some of the Black Souls attempted to possess the Wizard Puppets, but were repelled by the energy conducted from their cores.

Through the Puppets' unique senses, Zack Antuun could even see the true forms of the Black Souls.

The sheer number of them made him gasp, and the surge of ambition he'd just felt instantly cooled.

Luo Dan sneered. "He's courting death."

The City Lord Mansion Wizards and Law Enforcement Wizards combined numbered around forty, putting them at a numerical disadvantage.

But once the Black Souls were factored in, their numbers were not much different.

Luo Dan's gaze shifted to Max. She held the Black Core in her right hand, leaving her left hand free.

Seeing this, Luo Dan began to flatter her obsequiously. "To force Lord Rilis to use her left hand... you can be proud of that, Wizard of the Dark Land."

An immense Biological Force Field instantly enveloped every corner of the hall as Rilis finally unleashed the terrifying Power of a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.
