The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

The Illusory Dream Wizard continued, "No one knows what level the Deep Blue Great Wizard reached, but a conservative estimate places him at Level 3 Great Wizard or higher."

"This is an opportunity to a higher path. If seized, it could not only benefit individuals but also raise the entire power level of the Dark Land."

The Illusory Dream Wizard didn’t elaborate, simply chuckling. "This is all still too far off for you. There are only three spots for the new Children of the Dark. In the early stages, exploration will be left mostly to the Extreme Wizard Apprentices from the headquarters. It’s also a competition against other Wizard Influences."

"The Dark Cultivation Plan is truly intended to cultivate a batch of new blood like you. The headquarters is publicizing the names of you three with the intent of tempering you. After all, you are newcomers, lacking the growth that comes from life’s journey. You’re not like the Extreme Wizard Apprentices, who are relatively perfect in terms of mentality, will, and Power."

"However, you aren’t qualified until you advance to Extreme Wizard Apprentice. If you work hard, you might have a small chance to enter and explore with Xugus and Sul the first time the Deep Blue Great Secret Realm opens."

The Illusory Dream Wizard extended a finger and tapped Wang Ya’s forehead. "What you need to consider now is how to plan your Wizard Path, how to advance to Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, and then Extreme Wizard Apprentice."

"I’m sure you’ve felt it. After becoming a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice, the difficulty and time required for improvement have both increased significantly."

Wang Ya’s eyes flickered. ’His teacher isn’t wrong.’ After advancing to Level 2 Wizard Apprentice, the growth of his Spiritual Power and physical attributes had become sluggish, nowhere near as rapid as before.

Even the Wizard Meditation Method had become more difficult and complex, yet the returns had unavoidably diminished.

His original plan for his Wizard Path had been to follow the path of an Elemental Wizard. He would use the Eye of Truth to assist his research into the property transformations of Particle Energy, perhaps even developing a Special Particle Energy like the White Bone Wizard’s.

This would be supplemented by Harak’s Infinite Genome research project and his own studies of the Crimson Heart, which he suspected was the flesh and blood of an Evil God.

This was destined to be a long, time-consuming project. There were many factors to consider, and if he proceeded step-by-step, Wang Ya’s Power and cultivation level would advance in tandem, leaving no weaknesses.

’But now,’ he felt, ’I might not have much time left.’

The Deep Blue Great Secret Realm was like a new world. What lay within it? Did the legacy of the Deep Blue Great Wizard await? Would it yield Extraordinary rewards?

There was no way to predict what the Wizards exploring it would discover.

The unknown represented possibility, and this was the very opportunity that every Extreme Wizard Apprentice from the Dark Land Headquarters—and even those from other Wizard Influences—was pursuing.

The chance to become an Official Wizard!

Becoming an Official Wizard is incredibly difficult. Perhaps only one or two out of every ten Extreme Wizard Apprentices succeed. Advancement requires immense preparation; resources, one’s personal state, and spiritual will must all reach a state of perfection just for a small chance at success.

There was even a saying: "Sixty years of preparation, thirty years of tempering, and a ten-year, life-or-death breakthrough."

Failure to break through meant death, as one had to directly face the trial of the Wizard World Will.

This was what Wang Ya had learned from the Illusory Dream Wizard.

Furthermore, from the information the Illusory Dream Wizard had provided, it wasn’t hard to deduce that the Secret Realm would likely open within the next century.

If other Extreme Wizard Apprentices managed to complete a century’s worth of preparations inside and then broke through, what kind of impact would that have on the Dark Land and the surrounding powers?

After all, resources were finite. The more Official Wizards there were, the more resources they would require.

’What happens when resources are scarce?’

Wang Ya’s eyes narrowed. ’The Deep Blue Great Secret Realm might just be a tidal wave, one that will shatter the existing balance.’

’I have to seize the first opportunity.’

’Within a century, I must reach the peak of an Extreme Wizard Apprentice and raise my Spiritual Power and physical attributes to the limit of 40.’

This was the thought that took root in Wang Ya’s mind.

"Yes, Teacher. You should know what I’m thinking." Wang Ya’s gaze was incredibly earnest.

The Illusory Dream Wizard chuckled. "Young people should be ambitious and driven."
