From Ashes To Scales

73 – Wedding ceremony

The day of Magnus's wedding and coronation had finally arrived, a monumental moment that would seal his leadership over Ephiria and bind him in matrimony to his five brides. Despite his earlier efforts to keep things simple, the splendor of the occasion far exceeded his preferences, with every detail meticulously crafted to exude majesty and reverence.

Magnus’s preparations had been anything but restful. Tending to the needs of five brides was no small task, and Rose’s constant reminders kept him firmly grounded in reality. After much deliberation, he had entrusted a respected blacksmith with crafting the wedding rings. Each bride received a band befitting her status: gold for Naja, the queen among his brides, and silver for the others. For his own ring, Magnus chose something extraordinary—a pure mana crystal forged into a vibrant turquoise band, glowing faintly with magical energy.

His attire, however, was another story. Despite his clear instructions for simplicity, the tailors had outdone themselves. Magnus’s robes were a blend of royal purple and pristine white, their silken fabric adorned with intricate golden lightning motifs as a tribute to Iseria. A modest velvet shoulder cape added a touch of elegance, while small amethyst gemstones glimmered subtly on the cuffs and hem. Though fancier than he desired, the ensemble radiated authority and left little doubt about his role as both king and groom.

---

The temple of Iseria was transformed into a breathtaking vision of divine artistry. Perched atop a hill overlooking the city, it had become a sanctuary of magic and nature. Banners of silver and gold lined its towering columns, each emblazoned with lightning motifs that seemed almost alive under the sunlight. Rare flowers, a mix of white roses and violet asters, intertwined with ivy, wove through every arch and pillar, their fragrance mingling with the crisp breeze.

The massive crowd outside filled the courtyard and steps, a mosaic of Ephiria’s diverse races and cultures. Merchants, farmers, soldiers, and dignitaries stood shoulder to shoulder, their murmurs a symphony of anticipation. Some whispered in awe at the sheer scale of the event, while others craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the proceedings. Above the din, the faint hum of magical chandeliers echoed, their soft, shifting hues painting the temple’s interior like a living sky.

Magnus’s newly established military stood as vigilant sentinels, ensuring the sanctity of the occasion. Rows of guards in gleaming black and silver armor flanked the temple, their blue runes softly pulsing with enchantments. Each soldier bore Ephiria’s sigil—a tree entwined with lightning—emblazoned proudly on their shields and banners. Their presence was both a display of strength and a reassurance of security.

At the temple's heart stood the altar, an awe-inspiring masterpiece beneath the towering statue of Iseria. The goddess’s form, sculpted from radiant marble, seemed almost alive. Gold and sapphire inlays mimicked arcs of lightning cascading down her figure, while her gaze, carved with divine precision, seemed to survey the gathering with quiet approval. At her feet stood High Priestess Rose, a familiar figure to Magnus, clad in ceremonial robes of white and gold accented with emerald. Her sharp green eyes swept over the crowd, her posture exuding poise as she prepared to officiate the union.

As Magnus stood at the altar, he felt the weight of the moment press upon him. The air was electric, charged with both magic and anticipation. This was more than a wedding or a coronation—it was the dawn of a new era for Ephiria. Looking up at Iseria’s statue, he silently offered a prayer, not for strength or fortune, but for the wisdom to guide his people and honor the bonds he was about to form. And of course… to be able to survive this chaotic marriage.

------

“My king, please proceed forward. Your partners are waiting.”, said Rose, her voice echoing across the temple.

Magnus proceeded forward with a little shaky footsteps. When he looked carefully, there were incense burners here and there, wafting off the sweet aroma. To be honest he was nervous because he didn't read the wedding ritual himself… but, he trusted Rose.

After reaching the altar, over there was Naja, standing close to Rose, and on the left side there was a luxurious couch, were Rusalka, Leona, Saphira and Lydia were standing on. They were all extraordinarily beautiful girls, brimming over with elegance awaiting for him.

However, Magnus didn't honestly knew where to look, as all their bride outfits were rather… lewd and revealing. Even Naja lost her typical composure and with a slight blush retorted:

“Do, don’t stare, so much…”

“My, my bad…..”

‘Isn’t it impossible for me to not look?’, Magnus justified himself inside his heart.

Magnus’s throat gulped audibly. He took his place next to Naja in front of Rose. It was finally time for the ceremony to commence.

“Dear all! We have gathered on this day to witness the union of our King, Magnus, and Naja Scalesong, as well as uniting Magnus with his trusted companions. May this marriage be blessed by the Goddess and bring prosperity to all of Ephiria!!”

So far there was nothing out of the ordinary with Rose’s speach. Magnus was finally relieved. That is until Rose turned around and picked up a very large bottle made of gold and held it above her head. She then continued.

“This is a drink of nectar created from a sacred fruit. By drinking this, your souls will forever be linked and united in marriage.”

‘Ok, so this is basically how you say I do according to Iseria’, Magnus mumbled to himself.

His throat was parched from the nervousness, so he would be happy if he received a drink. Magnus extended his hand toward the bottle Rose was carrying.

However Rose hid the bottle as if to avoid Magnus’s hand.

“And now I shall explain the method to drink this conforming to the etiquette.”

“Drinking method?”

Rose threw a sharp gaze at Magnus and whispered so that only he could hear it.

“Remember, you wanted me to guide you through this. You're the only one left in the dark, so I’m making this work as we go on. Everyone else is already aware of the method, so I don't want to hear any complaints.”

“Understood….”

She then turned towards Naja.

“Naja, may I?”

“Yes……”

“In order for you to be link, the queen must become the vessel. Then Naja-sama, please press on your breast as if lifting them up from below.”

“Li……like this?”

Naja pressed her breasts as she was told. The hills of her chest were tightly joined, creating a valley between them.

“Then……”

Rose brought the mouth of the bottle close to the cavity created by the breast and began to pour the content.

“Hya……cold……but, that, this is?”

Feeling bewildered of the liquid that was held in the valley of her breast, Naja threw a questioning gaze at Rose, despite being aware of the wedding ritual beforehand.

“Now, My King, you are to drink this nectar.”

“Eeh!?”

Magnus's face was immediately dyed scarlet.

“Quickly, there is no time.”

Rose spoke to hurry him up and not to let everyone see his shock.

“Uu……Magnus, drink my nectar……wait, this is just too embarrassing-“, Naja retorted for a second.

Indeed this act was also really embarrassing for both of them.

“No… please proceed, I am ready.”

Seeing as there was no way around this, Magnus sidled up to Naja and brought his face closer to the valley of her breasts.

“……fuh”

When Magnus’s mouth touched the sake cup of the valley, Naja raised her voice slightly.

Magnus slurped up that liquid.

‘――!? Delicious!’

He didn’t know what the fruit this juice was made of, but it was refreshingly sweet. Rich aroma tickled his nose even after drinking, making him want to drink more. Magnus became absorbed and pressed his face into the valley of Aine’s breast.

“Nnah, Ki, Magnus……calm down……aah”

Naja’s skin warmed the liquid slightly, making him thought that it drew out the aroma even better. He drank it all up in a flash and he even licked at the drops that clung at Naja’s skin.

“Aan……geez Magnus……there is no more already, you know?”

Magnus was eventually brought back to reality as he also had to place the gold ring on Naja's finger.

“And with this, you are now husband and wife. All hail King Magnus!! All hail Queen Naja!!”

“All hail the King and Queen!!”

Rose and the military echoed out their cheers filling the temple with ovations towards the new couple. But of course the ceremony was not over, as Rose eventually turned towards the other ladies. Magnus thought that he would have to repeat the process with the other girls… but once again he was wrong.

“Alright, girls. As the King's spouses, please close your thighs tightly and bend your backs a little backward.”

“Mu, like this……hyah!?”

A cavity was created between the tightly closed thighs and the abdomen. Rose poured in the nectar toward that cavity.

“Now, My King, please drink each of their nectars and accept them as your wives.”, Rose beckoned him.

“D….Drink… from there!?”

“It is the requirement of the ritual.”

‘Iseria, once I finish this, we really need to have a long talk. Are you secretly a pervert to write such a ritual?’, Magnus thought, as he approached the girls. He had no choice at this point but finish this wedding ceremony… and hopefully without passing out.
