Chapter 320: Ambushed
"Why is your mind always full of such nonsense?" Wang Chenning didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
"I’m not talking nonsense!" Luo Yuqing shot Wang Chenning a sideways glance. "I came to see you today specifically to settle this. I’m not getting any younger, so I want to get pregnant as soon as possible. If I get any older, it might affect the child’s health and potential."
"You’re not joking?" Seeing how serious she was, Wang Chenning’s smile vanished. "Are you trying to ruin us both?"
"I’ll tell you in a minute!" Luo Yuqing said, deliberately keeping him in suspense.
Wang Chenning gave her a spiteful pinch.
Once they arrived at Luo Yuqing’s apartment, she immediately became wild.
However, Wang Chenning didn’t punish her. Instead, he gave her the most incredible pleasure.
"I want to get pregnant as the weather warms up. That way, when the baby is born next year, it’ll be warm, which is better for their development, and they’ll get sick less. By the time the following winter arrives, the baby will be bigger, and the chances of getting sick will be even lower. It’s all for their benefit." Luo Yuqing laid out her entire plan. "Besides, you’re amazing at this, so you can definitely time it perfectly. If I do get pregnant, I’ll go abroad for a year or two to handle our overseas affairs—for both of us."
"If you agree, I’ll find some random person for a paper marriage and then get a divorce. That way, no one will gossip when I have the child. If you don’t agree, I’ll just be a single mother. Or, I’ll keep it a secret that the child is mine until they’re grown up!"
"What is all this nonsense!" Wang Chenning was exasperated. "You’re not planning a shotgun wedding, are you?"
"I knew you’d think that!" Luo Yuqing said with a look of disdain. "Don’t be so small-minded. I’ve told you, I have no intention of marrying you. If I were your wife, I couldn’t bear having so many other women after you. I’d rather be the one cheating than be cheated on multiple times. What’s more, I still have to be the heir to the Luo family. If I marry, I become part of another family, not a Luo. How could I be the heir then?"
Although Luo Yuqing had said similar things before, hearing her state her intentions so pragmatically still left a bitter taste in Wang Chenning’s mouth.
Still, her attitude was also a relief to him.
As if reading his mind, Luo Yuqing continued, "And don’t worry about one other thing. My son will take my surname, and I’ll make him the heir to the Luo family. The Luo family will always be mine; it won’t fall into anyone else’s hands. In any case, I won’t cause you any trouble!"
With that, she snuggled up to Wang Chenning, grinning at him. "You’ll never find another woman as wonderful and considerate as me."
"Let’s talk about this later," Wang Chenning said after a moment’s thought. He didn’t shut her down completely, but he didn’t give her a clear promise either. He had to admit, though, that she had a point.
’Besides, Lin Anning is actually a pretty decent person. She only has two drawbacks: one, she’s a tomboy, and two, her figure is a little lacking.’
Wang Chenning was also convinced that the siblings, Lin Annian and Lin Anning, must have been involved in the recent online smear campaign against him.
He had humiliated them so badly; there was no way they would let him off the hook.
’I’ll find a chance to deal with Lin Annian and Lin Anning properly.’
Luo Yuqing had performed well today, so Wang Chenning gave her another little reward.
Wang Chenning didn’t punish her, but instead gave her an exquisite experience, much to Luo Yuqing’s pleasant surprise.
However, Wang Chenning’s "reward" still left her completely drained. In the end, just like Zhao Xiao’an, she kicked him out.
"Go back to your own place and sleep! Don’t disturb my rest!" Luo Yuqing whimpered weakly. "Go find whoever you want. From now on, when I’m by myself, you’re not allowed to sleep here."
Wang Chenning had no choice but to leave with his tail between his legs.

Yang Xiaofei had sent him a message asking what he was up to. She said she felt unwell all over and wasn’t sleeping well since returning to the country, and she wanted Wang Chenning to come over and give her a "treatment."

It was almost midnight when Wang Chenning got back to his apartment.
He was physically drained and feeling exhausted, so he planned to take a quick shower and go straight to bed.
But the moment he opened the door and stepped inside, he sensed something was wrong.
His damn sixth sense warned him of a hidden danger inside.
He didn’t turn on the lights, slipping into the room in complete darkness.
Just as he reached the sofa, a powerful gust of wind rushed at him.
Wang Chenning reacted instantly, sliding several steps aside to dodge the lethal attack from a lunging shadow.
But unexpectedly, another shadow burst from behind the curtains, aiming a swift front kick at him.
Wang Chenning’s reaction was just as fast. With a backbend an ordinary person could never perform, he agilely evaded this second shadow’s attack.
Then, planting both hands on the floor, he sprang back to his feet and lunged toward the taller of the two shadows...
