Chapter 147
Keith’s POV
I have never wanted to kill anyone as badly as I tried to kill Alice when she bit into Ebony’s arm. I knew I had to get Ebony to the Pack Doctor because she was losing a lot of blood.
I was shocked when I shocked when Jacob rejected Alice. It is hard for newly mated werewolves to reject their Mate. It could be deadly for Werewolves that had been mated for as long as Jacob and Alice had been, and he still rejected her. However, I was happy because I knew he did it for Ebony.
I quickly picked my Mate up and carried her to Pack Hospital. The Doctor already knew we were on our way because I had Mind-linked her. Once I arrived, they immediately took Ebony to a room to check on her.
"She will be fine. She is already recovering," the Doctor said, making me relieved.
"I was so worried when she passed out," I said
"She most likely passed out because of losing so much blood. Her Wolf has already begun to heal her. She should be up soon." A few minutes later, Ebony’s eyes opened, and I could finally breathe normally.
"Keith," Ebony murmured.
"Shh, My Love. Everything is alright. You are alright," I said as I caressed her cheek. She closed her eyes for a moment savoring the feel of my touch.
"Jacob. He rejected Alice," she said
"Yes, he did," I replied
"Is he okay?"
"I don’t know. I had to quickly get you to the Pack Hospital after Alice bit you. I have no idea what is going on with Jacob," I replied honestly.
"Well, we have to find out. He saved us," Ebony said.
"We will but first, let’s make sure you are okay," I said
Once, the Pack Doctor checked on Ebony and confirmed that she was fully healed and could leave. Then, we went to check on Jacob. They told us which room he was in, and we quickly made our way to where he was. We walked inside to see Alissa sitting next to him, holding his hand. She had tears in her eyes, and I knew she was worried. When we walked inside, she looked at Ebony and stood from her seat.
"Ebony, I am so sorry for everything," Alissa cried. I didn’t completely trust Alissa, but it looked like Ebony was starting to, which was making me worry. I didn’t want her to get hurt by Alissa again.
"Shh, it’s okay, Alissa. We will be okay," Ebony said and hugged Alissa close to her, and Alissa returned the hug.
"Ebony. I am so happy you are okay," Jacob said, causing Ebony and me to look at him.
"You are awake?" Ebony said
"Yes, I still feel pain in my chest, but it isn’t as bad as it was at first," Jacob replied
’The Pack Doctor gave him something for the pain. It will help him while he recuperates from rejecting my mom," Alissa said
"And how is your mom doing?" Ebony asked
"Not good. She is in a comma from being rejected, and they don’t know if she will make it out," Alissa said. I could hear the pain in her voice.
"I am so sorry, Alissa. I never wanted your mom to die," Ebony said
"You have no reason to be sorry. I don’t want my mom to die either, but none of this is your fault.
"Why did you come here and let the fight happen if you were going to end it? Why did you reveal your Wolf?" Ebony asked. I was also wondering the same thing. It was clear that Jacob planned on stopping the fight before it got too far. So why would he show up with Alice and act like he was going to fight against us if that wasn’t his intention?
"Abby told me I had to let the fight happen. Right after you told me to leave, Abby came up to me and told me I needed to make Alice believe I was on her side. I had to go with her plan, or Ebony would die. I am shocked at how easily the fight ended, though. I thought something worse would have happened. Think Goddess, I was wrong," Jacob said.
"I think you, Ebony, and Mom ending up in the hospital was enough," Alissa said
"I guess you are right," Jacob said. I couldn’t help but agree with Jacob. It seemed as though the war had ended too quickly.
"I am going to get some coffee for everyone. I will be right back," I said and walked out of the room.
"Keith, there you are," Abby said as she walked up to me.
"Abby, hey," I replied
"Where is Ebony? I need to talk to both of you," Abby said
"She is in the room with Jacob. What’s up?’ I asked
"I don’t think the war is over. It seemed too easy," Abby said
"That is what I was just thinking, but it seems it is over. Jacob stopped everyone from fighting and ended up rejecting Alice, and she is in a coma. It’s over," I replied
"That’s impossible. The only way for the war to be over is for Ebony to let go of the Evil inside of her," Abby said, causing me to look at her.
"What the fuck are you talking about, Abby? You never said anything about Evil," I replied
"I know. I didn’t want to mess anything up. Ebony is the firstborn female and white Wolf in the royal family," Abby said
"Yeah, I know. What’s your point?" I asked
"Ebony is the most powerful White Wolf there has ever been. She holds more power than even King Jacob. The thing is, she doesn’t only have good magic. She has black magic as well," Abby said.
"What," I asked, not knowing what else to say. I was shocked at what she had just told me.
"I wasn’t completely honest when I told you about my visions. Ebony was always going to become Queen. She is a great Queen in one vision, and the werewolf community does great. But in the vision where the werewolf community is destroyed, Ebony is the one that destroys it with her dark magic."
