A black cocoon broke apart and it's shell fell onto the ground, before the fragments dissolved into black mist, becoming one with the low hanging Demon Miasma. As the fragments of the cocoon fell to the ground, a tall, handsome young man with large black wings, long, sharp and elegant, black horns sticking out of his forehead and slightly pale skin emerged. His cold red eyes looked at his fist as it clenched and unclenched, allowing him to feel the raw power building in his muscles and coursing through every molecule of his being. He threw a few jabs in the air, watching as his fist blurred and he managed to to throw a dozen jabs within the span of a second, with each punch having enough force to create a small gust of wind, moving the dust particles on the ground.

'This feels different.' I thought as I continued staring at my fist. All of my evolutions before this one has changed my body but this one did so to an even greater degree, filling my body with more power than ever before and I felt unstoppable with this new power. I could tell that the gap between tier 3 and 4 was like a large chasm, the difference was like comparing Heaven and Earth. I stood still for a few seconds as knowledge flowed into his mind and I took a few minutes to comprehend all of it.

I scanned my status, checking for any changes and there were plenty. The first thing I noted was the change in my name, or rather, the addition to my name. Like any ordinary human, I also had a family name, but for some reason, my status didn't display it, but now it displayed a new family name, Dunamis. Could it be that all Demons possess the surnames of their Demon families? Next, I noticed the new features, [Title], [Sin] and [Family Ability].

[Title: A name given to you by a powerful entity, the system or a group of powerful individuals.

Sin: Weakness: You have acknowledged weakness as a sin and unlike your fellow demons you do not indulge this sin. Instead you desire to break free of it.

Family Ability: This is a trait bestowed upon the entire family by their demon king. Please note that a family ability cannot be changed.]

'Interesting.' I thought as I looked at the descriptions, especially the [Sin: Weakness] feature. The system, without me even having to say it, has described my desire perfectly. Next I looked at the [????] beside [Family Ability], I could guess that it was beside [Family Ability] because I haven't chosen one yet. It seems I have gained the title [Demon King of Weakness] when I chose to make my own family, but why did the title sound so…..embarrassing.

[Demon King of Weakness: You have chosen to forge your own path among demon kind and created your own family, the eighth among the seven. Powerful forces have taken notice of you.]

'Powerful forces have taken notice of you.' What the hell does that mean? Is it talking about the Demon Kings? Or something else?' I thought, a bit panicked, but I slowly calmed down as I realized that nothing too powerful from the Demon Realm could come to Earth, so I was safe……..for now.

Next was the new trait, [Unique Trait: Symbol of Power], now this confused me a bit since it was the first time I got a new trait after evolution and there was also the fact that it said [Unique Trait] at the beginning of it's name.

[Unique Trait: Symbol of Power: You are unique even among demons. You are a former human turned Demon Noble using demon miasma and as such, the system has deemed you worthy of a unique trait for a unique creature.

"When you desire more power, you shall receive it."]

"Well, that isn't ambiguous at all." I sighed as I read the description of my new trait. I had no idea what it meant but maybe I could ask Synthia later if she had any idea what it meant. Moving on, I finally found something common with my previous evolutions, new skills.

[Advanced Compulsion: Using this skill, you can impose your will onto any creature a tier below you. Creatures with a strong mind, a powerful will or traits that give them resistance to mind manipulation abilities may be able to resist this skill.

Demon Ritual: Demon Creation: As a Demon Noble, you can create other demons as subordinates to do your will. Demons sired by you cannot be above the same tier of evolution as you are. As demons created by you, they will share an unbreakable bond with you that will allow you to track their location.

Telepathy: You can communicate with anyone marked by you using your mind over any distance. Powerful energies interfere with telepathic communication.

Demon Eyes: As a Demon Noble, your eyes are a powerful tool. Using this skill you will be able to see residual energy, statuses and induce fear within weaker creatures.]

All of these skills were powerful and useful in their own ways, but sadly I won't be able to test them out at the moment. Using [Aura Vision], I could sense that the others were still fighting and I should probably go and help them, but first, I needed some pants.

"Oh, it seems that I've arrived just in time. Let's see which one of you dare to hurt Alice in my presence." I said with palpable rage and malice in my voice as I walked towards the ungrateful priest, I think his name was Kyle. This was the same guy I almost dropped from the sky, near the [Holy Territory] when I went to visit Synthia. I remember him acting like an arrogant asshole back then but now, he was on his knees shivering in fear. The reason was very simple, my [Demon Eyes] skill has activated on it's own due to my rage, inducing immense fear within the pathetic priest, currently my vision was filled with red, blue and golden yellow outlines all over the place. I could see everyone's auras and also residual energy from the previous battle but I didn't look around more as my eyes were focused on this priest that didn't learn his lesson the last time. So this time I was going make sure it sinks in.
