Chapter 17 – Caught You
Seeing Evan show no interest, Wayne curled his lip.
"Fine. If you don't go, I'll go by myself."
"Don't worry. When I win money, I'll take you eating and drinking like a king."
"You're my big brother. My money is your money."
To be fair, this fat man was loyal. He was generous, straightforward, and foolish in a way that almost became charming.
After dinner, Wayne insisted on dragging Evan to a foot massage place.
Evan had never had anyone massage his feet before. He was a little curious, so he followed.
Wayne clearly knew the process. He took Evan inside, changed slippers, and went straight up to a private room on the second floor.
The fat man leaned over and winked mysteriously.
"Big brother, want the big package later?"
Evan shook his head at once.
"No."
Of course he knew what the big package meant.
But he had no interest. What kind of beauty could a place like this have? Probably a bunch of heavily made-up older women.
He liked women who looked clean, young, and pretty.
"You don't want it, I do. I'll go next door first."
Wayne grinned, patted Evan's shoulder, and slipped out.
Evan lay down on the massage bed.
A male attendant carried in a free fruit plate.
"Boss, foot massage is eighty-eight. Full body oil massage is one-eighty-eight. Which one?"
Evan thought, since he was already here, he might as well experience the full thing.
Wayne was paying anyway.
"The one-eighty-eight."
"All right, boss. Technician will be here soon."
The attendant left.
A few minutes later, someone knocked.
The door opened, and a woman in her late thirties came in. She was slightly plump and smiled professionally.
"Boss, am I okay?"
Evan sighed helplessly.
"No. Change to someone younger and prettier."
"Of course, boss."
She understood the rules and left without complaint.
Not long after, a younger woman entered. She looked around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, petite, with a pretty face. In a place like this, she was already a rare product.
After entering, she brought hot water for Evan to soak his feet. Once she dried them carefully, Evan placed his legs on the soft pad across her lap, and she began kneading skillfully.
After a while, she started chatting.
"Handsome, you're so young. Are you even twenty?"
Evan smiled and asked back, "How old do I look?"
She had a sweet mouth.
"Around twenty. So young and already spending like this. Rich second generation?"
"Your family must be doing well."
When away from home, identity was self-issued.
Evan nodded without shame.
"My dad owns mines back home."
"Massage well. If it feels good, I'll tip you."
Her eyes brightened. "Yes, boss."
Then she tested him again.
"Your accent doesn't sound local. Where are you from?"
Evan answered in his hometown accent, "Guess."
She covered her mouth and laughed.
"No need to guess. Mountain side."
"I've done this job long enough. Once a customer opens his mouth, I can usually tell."
Evan asked casually, "What about you? Where's home?"
"East Valley."
"Ah, neighbor." Evan smiled. "With a face like yours, marrying you must cost a lot."
She kneaded his calf with real strength and answered matter-of-factly.
"Of course. Back home, without a big bride gift, don't even think about marriage."
Evan silently mourned for the men of East Valley for three seconds.
After finishing his legs, she brought over a loose massage outfit.
"Boss, take off your outer clothes and pants. Change into this. It'll be easier to massage your back."
Evan held the clothes and glanced at her hesitantly.
She laughed.
"Just change here. Don't be shy. In this line, what haven't I seen?"
Evan had to admit.
That was broad experience.
Since she did not avoid it, he had nothing to be shy about. He stood, took off his jacket, then removed his pants, leaving only boxers.
Her eyes instinctively dropped for half a second.
Then they widened.
She had thought she was already well-traveled. But some natural advantages could still overturn a person's worldview.
Under her shocked stare, Evan pulled on the loose shorts.
She swallowed, then had him lie face down on the massage bed.
After that, she climbed lightly onto the edge of the bed and began pushing along his back.
As the massage went on, her body pressed lower and lower. Finally, she leaned close to his ear and blew a warm breath.
"Handsome."
"Just rubbing like this is boring."
"Want to play something more exciting?"
Evan turned his head slightly. "What kind of exciting? Does it cost extra?"
She bit her red lip and lowered her voice.
"You're handsome, so I won't ask much."
"Add a hundred, and I'll take good care of you."
Evan's heart instantly entered battle.
To be honest, at his age, curiosity and heat were difficult things to hold down. But he was also nervous. He had heard too many crude village stories about these places, and half of them ended with disease, trouble, or someone getting robbed.
The technician worked in this kind of world and saw through his hesitation at a glance.
She laughed softly.
"How about this?"
"Since you're good-looking, I won't charge."
"If you don't dare go all the way, I'll just show you a few tricks."
Evan froze. "What do you mean?"
She patted his shoulder and told him to turn over.
Evan had just rolled onto his back when she reached for the waistband of his massage shorts.
He understood immediately.
The rest of that little private room became a lesson in why some men walked out of places like this with soft knees and suspiciously calm faces.
No battlefield glory.
No real romance.
Just heat, teasing, and a professional smile that knew exactly when to stop before trouble had a name.
Afterward, Evan leaned against the head of the bed feeling refreshed and guilty in equal measure, playing with his phone while waiting for Wayne.
Wayne finally ended his own battle more than two hours later.
The fat man pushed open the room door with weak legs and a floating walk.
He leaned close and whispered, "How was it, big brother? Did you get the big package?"
Evan denied it firmly.
"No."
"I'm not that kind of casual man. Couldn't do it."
Wayne curled his lip in deep contempt.
"Cut the act. Free cannon, why not fire it?"
"Come on. It's late. Let's go."
Evan and Wayne headed down the stairs.
Just as they reached the first-floor lobby, two fashionable women walked in from the front.
Evan glanced over casually.
His eyes locked on one face.
Holy hell.
Cold sweat burst from his back. He turned and tried to run upstairs.
He had barely taken two steps when a familiar cool voice sounded behind him.
"Evan Carter."
"Stop running. I already saw you."
