CHAPTER 62: The Exchange of the Celestial Realms
(ARC 4: COSMIC DOMAIN & THE STARLIGHT BEACON)
The pearlescent diplomatic flagship, The Starlight Sovereign, descended smoothly through the golden veil of the Sterling Celestial Canopy, landing upon the grand white-jade docking plaza of the Floating Cloud Island.
Around the plaza, four hundred heavy-armored dragon knights of the Sterling Imperial Vanguard stood in absolute, motionless discipline, their high-grade dragon-scale armor shimmering in the afternoon sun.
As Arbiter Vael stepped off the boarding ramp, flanked by his crystal aides, he took a single breath of the atmospheric Qi—and his sapphire skin flickered in sheer, stunned disbelief. The air was rich with pure, purified cosmic spirit Qi, completely free of the toxic medicinal residue or raw chaotic waste typical of newly unified worlds.
"Incredible..." Vael whispered to his chief aide. "Their realm's ascension wasn't forced... it was meticulously refined from the roots up."
Inside the high, open-air pavilion of the Floating Palace, a grand reception table carved from single-block spatial jade was laden with celestial delicacies.
Gabriel sat at the head of the table, dressed in his dark dragon-silk coat embroidered with golden spatial runes. Beside him sat Evelyn, looking breathtaking in a flowing ice-blue gown adorned with silver star-silk. Her warm, regal demeanor radiated an effortless majesty that made Arbiter Vael bow with profound respect as he took his seat.
"Welcome to our home, Arbiter Vael," Evelyn said smoothly, her dark eyes warm and inviting as she motioned for the imperial attendants to serve thousand-year spirit tea. "We hope your journey through Sector 7 was pleasant."
"Your Imperial Majesty," Arbiter Vael bowed his head deeply. "To set foot upon a realm that has achieved such pristine ascension is the highest honor for the Gilded Trade Federation."
Gabriel leaned forward slightly, his dark golden dragon pupils reflecting a quiet, emperor-level sharpness.
"Let us speak of the future, Arbiter," Gabriel said, his deep voice carrying an effortless authority. "The Sterling Empire seeks peaceful integration into Sector 7’s commercial networks, but we do not accept unequal covenants."
Arbiter Vael immediately opened a glowing, blue-crystal holographic ledger, projecting the proposed interstellar trade charter over the table.

"We offer complete tariff-free passage through all sixty-four star ports governed by the Federation," Vael explained eagerly. "In exchange, we request permission to establish a single, monitored trade outpost in your capital's lower port to purchase your Wood Spire’s non-toxic Qi-Awakening Elixirs and Metal Spire dragon-alloy armor!"
Gabriel looked at Evelyn, who offered a soft, approving nod.
"Agreed," Gabriel declared, signing the holographic charter with a thread of his Peak Void Sovereign cosmic Qi, permanently searing House Sterling's seal into the Federation's galactic ledger. "May this trade bring prosperity to both our realms."
While the diplomatic negotiations concluded in the main palace, Ethan and Elena toured the open cargo bay of The Starlight Sovereign alongside the Federation's Chief Vault Keeper.
Rows of glowing crystal containers held rare star-herbs, deep-space metal ingots, and ancient spatial runes collected from hundreds of fallen worlds across Sector 7.
Elena walked along the display racks, her sharp azure eyes analyzing the spatial structure of an interstellar navigation core. "Their star-engine designs are efficient, but their spatial stabilization runes are crude compared to Dad's arrays."
Ethan, however, suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.
THUMP-THUMP!
The blood in Ethan’s veins pulsed violently! His Imperial Sovereign Dragon-Physique ignited with a scorching, gold-tempered heat that caused the surrounding air in the cargo bay to warp!
"Ethan?" Elena turned immediately, her hand dropping to her sword hilt. "What is it?"
Ethan walked past the Vault Keeper toward a heavy, black-lead containment vault sitting in the deepest corner of the display hall. Inside the lead vault sat a cracked, baseball-sized orb made of pitch-black crystal, pulsing with a faint, dormant golden ember.
"This..." Ethan whispered, his hand hovering an inch above the glass display. "This isn't an ordinary crystal..."
The Chief Vault Keeper bowed nervously, sweating slightly under Ethan’s rising dragon aura. "Ah, Young Sovereign! That is an unidentified artifact recovered from a dead star system in the Deep Void Rim. Our scholars could not decipher its energy signature, so it has remained in our vault for three centuries."
"It's a Void-Dragon Heart Core," Ethan murmured, his dark eyes glowing with intense, instinctual recognition. "A remnant core from a primordial cosmic dragon."
Elena’s eyes widened slightly. "A primordial core? That fits your dragon physique perfectly!"
With a simple gesture, Ethan called upon his spatial authority, lifting the containment glass. The moment his fingers touched the black-and-gold orb—
BZ—ZZZ-T!
The cracked crystal orb erupted into a magnificent, roaring golden dragon phantom that swirled around Ethan’s arm, dissolving straight into his palm and fusing with his Dantian!
BOOOOOOOOM!
Ethan’s physical cultivation barrier—already sitting at the absolute peak of the Martial King Realm—shattered instantly! A golden dragon-domain aura exploded outward, lifting him into the Early Void Sovereign Realm!
The Chief Vault Keeper dropped to his knees in utter awe, while Elena let out a proud, happy laugh, shaking her head.
"Looks like our vacation trip to the cargo bay turned into a breakthrough," Elena teased, patting her brother's broad shoulder.
Ethan looked down at his glowing, dragon-rune-engraved palm, a bright, triumphant grin on his face.
"Dad built the foundation," Ethan declared softly, his voice carrying the strength of a true dragon heir. "Now... we take House Sterling to the stars."
