CHAPTER 60: The Galaxy’s Whispers
(ARC 4: COSMIC DOMAIN & THE STARLIGHT BEACON)
The ascension of the planet into a Cosmic Sovereign Realm sent shockwaves through the deep-space spatial currents of Sector 7.
Where a dark, cloaked "livestock world" had drifted silently for five centuries, a radiant star-field beacon now shone across three light-years of space. The sudden, total disappearance of the Vorathian Fleet—combined with the massive energy signature of a newly ascended realm—did not go unnoticed by the surrounding star systems.
Inside the deep-space observation hub of the Gilded Trade Federation—a neutral galactic merchant network operating along the outer rim—a hundred mechanical crystal screens flickered violently.
"High Arbiter!" an alien communications officer shouted, four mechanical arms clicking furiously over a holographic console. "Target Coordinates 004 have just emitted a Realm Ascension Wave! The Vorathian Fleet signal has been completely extinguished!"
Sitting atop a hovering anti-gravity throne was Arbiter Vael, an elder of the Star-Crystal Race whose skin glittered like polished sapphire. He leaned forward, his glowing blue eyes narrowing in pure, calculating shock.
"Extinguished?" Vael’s voice vibrated like struck crystal. "High Commander Vraxx possessed three thousand heavy dreadnoughts and two hundred siege platforms. Did the Vorathian High Command recall them?"
"No, Arbiter!" the officer replied, pulling up a long-range spatial energy spectrum. "The energy signature indicates absolute structural annihilation! The entire fleet was dismantled in orbital space... in under two hours!"
Vael remained silent for a long moment, tapping his crystalline fingers against his armrest.
"A hidden dragon in a forgotten realm..." Vael murmured softly, a shrewd, commercial gleam filling his eyes. "The Vorathians thought they were harvesting cattle, but instead they woke a sleeping cosmic sovereign. Prepare the diplomatic trade vessel The Starlight Sovereign. We shall extend an invitation to this new power before the other warlords realize what has happened."
Back on the planet, inside the grand council room of the Sterling Central Palace...
The air was filled with a sense of quiet, triumphant productivity.
Lord Harrison presented a newly updated spatial ledger that glowed with vibrant blue light, detailing the post-ascension state of the empire.
┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ POST-ASCENSION REALM STATUS — STERLING EMPIRE │

│ METRIC │ ASCENDED VALUE │

"Sovereign Master," Lord Harrison reported, bowing deeply toward the throne. "The entire population has benefited from the Realm Ascension. Over eighty percent of our youth have naturally awakened high-tier spirit roots simply by breathing the expanded atmospheric Qi. Diseases have been eradicated, and crop yields have increased twenty-fold."
Sitting at the head of the obsidian table, Gabriel listened calmly, his dark golden dragon pupils reflecting the glowing data.
Beside him, Evelyn smiled warmly, resting her hand lightly over his. On Gabriel's right and left sat Ethan and Elena, both looking sharp and focused in their new navy-and-gold Imperial Guard attire.
"And our deep-space surveillance?" Gabriel asked smoothly, looking toward Malakor, who hovered as an ominous shadow behind the high throne.
"Sovereign Master," Malakor rasped softly, his violet eyes flashing in the dark. "My void shadows have detected three diplomatic trade vessels approaching our outer boundary under neutral signaling flags. They belong to the Gilded Trade Federation."
Ethan’s eyes lit up with curiosity, his hand resting casually on his wooden spear shaft. "Trade vessels? They're not sending war fleets this time?"
Elena sheathed her azure blade with a quiet click. "They saw what happened to the Vorathians, Ethan. When a conqueror fleet gets wiped out in two hours, sensible people bring gifts instead of weapons."
Gabriel chuckled softly, leaning back against his high throne with effortless, emperor-level composure. He brought Evelyn’s hand to his lips, kissing her knuckles gently before addressing his council.
"Let them approach the outer boundary," Gabriel commanded, his voice calm, deep, and echoing through the grand hall. "We have secured our home, liberated our people, and built an invincible foundation. Now... we take our place among the stars."
Gabriel looked out through the tall palace windows at the shimmering golden sky of the Sterling Empire, his dark golden pupils burning with world-shaking, cosmic dominance.
The farm was destroyed. The empire was born. And the stars were ready to bow.
