“How is it going?” the rough-looking man who accompanied Princess Juliana asked with concern.

“The mermaids have wanted to help us. But none of us knew the direction of the continent.” Princess Juliana said while holding her forehead.

The rough-looking man asked, “Those… mermaids. Have they never visited the continent?”

Princess Juliana answered, “It seems so. The mermaids said they never found any landmass much bigger than a normal island.”

“Then let's just follow the safe path the mermaids usually use. As for the direction, the ship sailed east from our port, so the continent is definitely west of our location, probably slightly to the north or the south.”

Princess Juliana gasped, “That's right! It seems I've become muddleheaded from the shock of being stranded in the middle of nowhere.”

Princess Juliana quickly asked the mermaids, who agreed to bring them to the westernmost area.

Thus, she offered a benefit, as long as Princess Juliana fulfilled her promise to open a constant trade route to help the mermaids’ food supply problem.

Princess Juliana widened her eyes upon hearing the old healer's promises. She immediately thought of the benefits of that exchange and nodded.

Because neither Princess Juliana, the rough-looking man, nor the mermaids could build a raft, the mermaids decided to carry Juliana and the rough-looking man by hugging them while swimming.

Seaton and another male mermaid each hugged Princess Juliana and the rough-looking man while swimming upside down near the sea's surface.

Next to them, Edlen, the old healer, and three other mermaids Seaton had tasked with guarding them swam along.

The five mermaids and two humans swam through the ocean at a speed rivaling that of a jet ski, thanks to Seaton, who controlled the surrounding water with his water element blessed power to boost their speed.

Occasionally, Seaton and the other mermaids will surface to let the humans breathe before continuing to swim underwater.

This way, Princess Juliana and the rough-looking man can still breathe occasionally.

Princess Juliana will also often use her water element blessed power to create an air bubble for herself and the rough-looking man whenever she feels exhausted from holding her breath too long.

Because the mermaids under Seaton live close to the Kraken’s hunting grounds, they've already thoroughly studied the Kraken's area of activity. This allows them to find a safe path to help Princess Juliana reach the continent.

But that doesn't mean their journey is entirely smooth. Occasionally, they still get lost and stray into a dangerous area, which is why it took them so long to reach the continent.

Upon reaching the continent, except for Elden and another mermaid. Seaton, the old healer, and the other mermaids immediately returned to their home.

Before Seaton’s group left, the old healer reminded Princess Juliana to keep her promise to help the mermaid races and to inform Elden who would be waiting around the continent.

The old elder also gave a magical turtle. As long as Princess Juliana places the turtle underwater and rubs it, it'll release a sound that can be heard by its mate even from an extremely far distance.

The turtle’s mate that'll be held by Elden, will then respond by releasing a voice in the turtle’s direction, which allows Elden to swim toward her location by following the turtle’s head’s direction.

Princess Juliana looked at the turtle in amazement.

The old healer rubbed the turtle’s shell a few times before writing on the ground, “Don't forget to keep moistening its shell and feed it every day.”

As Seaton, the old healer, and the other mermaid left, Elden waved to Princess Juliana for a bit before swimming off with another mermaid.

Princess Juliana waved in response before nudging the rough-looking man next to her, “Now then, Baldus. Where should we go next?”

Baldus shrugged, “Sorry, I am not an expert in this kind of thing. How about we just walk westward, princess?”

Princess Juliana sighed. “Arggghhh. Alright. On the bright side, at least we won’t need to be choked by seawater anymore, and we can finally eat something other than fish.”

Soon after, Princess Juliana quickly took back her word.

“Insects! There are insects everywhere!!!” Princess Juliana complained, casually shooting a jet of water at a human-leg-sized centipede crawling on a tree nearby.

The water jet instantly killed the centipede and punched a hole in the massive tree.

Every ten minutes, Princess Juliana complained at least once. And every hour, she'd let out at least one ear-piercing scream after seeing a massive insect.

Thankfully, Princess Juliana is a water element blessed, so they don't need to worry about finding a safe water source.

After traveling through the forest for several months, the two humans and one turtle finally spotted signs of civilization.

Princess Juliana and Baldus looked at the sparse trees around them and the smoke that occasionally rose in the distance with tears in their eyes.

The next day, they finally arrived at the settlement.

But when they saw the people there, Princess Juliana’s lower jaw couldn't close from sheer shock.

“We… we actually strayed to the eleven territory?!”

After discussion, both of them still decided to enter the elven village.

Seeing the two humans, many elves gathered around them, curious looks on their faces.

One of the elves stepped forward to ask, “Are you guys merchants? But where are your goods?”

Seeing her reaction, the receptionist suggested with a smile, “If you really need to connect to the humans’ internet network, you can visit Verdana City. It's two to four days by horse. Do you wish to use our horse rental service?”
