Every time they met the demon king, the wind, water, and ice elements blessed would combine their power to unleash wind blades or freeze the demon king, allowing Catherina to wreak havoc and destroy as much of its body mass as possible.

After several cycles of attacking and retreating when the demon king spewed tons of water, before travelling through different tunnels to once again beat the demon king, the demon king has now been quite weakened.

That might seem small, but the team has done so without having any casualties.

What a pity, the good time of beating the demon king senseless in a tunnel has finally ended.

Even after the team tried their best to delay the demon king, and Catherina used one of the Level 4 attacks in her Earth Lance to block its path, they could only barely buy a day.

Due to that delay, almost all residents of Grey Coal City have been evacuated with the help of powerful blessed, particularly those with earth and nature element abilities who can alter the terrain.

Even so, a fraction still choose to remain in the city, or are delayed for various reasons.

When the demon king emerged from the ground, it chose one of the dwarves’ abandoned mine entrances as an exit.

After continuous city expansion, the mine entrance that was initially built outside the city is now located within the city’s outer periphery. This directly made the demon king enter the city through the mine entrance.

Before the demon king exited the mine entrance, Cedric had already warned the elven and dwarven armies about the demon king.

Although they couldn’t send their entire army due to the city’s complicated terrain, they had sent twenty-six Level 3 blessed to hold down the demon king and buy more time to evacuate the city and let the people who had evacuated move further away.

Together with Catherina’s team, there are now 42 Level 3 blessed and 1 Level 4 blessed surrounding the demon king.

Catherina’s team communicated with the elves and dwarves from the army before deciding to let one of the Level 3 dwarves lead the battle, with Catherina serving as the assistant and spokesperson for the creator.

The dwarf listened to the description of the demon king’s abilities from Catherina’s party before he decided to use fire, wind, and lightning attacks mainly.

“Lightning element blessed, all of you will deal the first blow and shoot continuous lightning toward the demon king. Maintain your focus and immediately stop when the demon king starts shooting water jets. We don’t want to cause friendly fire here.” The dwarves solemnly commanded while looking at the few lightning-element blessed.

Then, he gave another command, “Wind and fire blessed, combine your power to hurl massive fireballs toward the target. Earth, water, and ice elements blessed, I want you guys to prepare your defense. Those with divine strength, attempt to throw whatever items you can find or engage in close combat during the battle's gap. Healers please protect yourself and maintain your mana for emergency. Meanwhile, those with nature element, try to protect others, especially the healers, and yourself while preparing to build a wooden bridge anytime for emergency retreat.”

Lastly, the dwarf added, “Everyone must also prepare their casting materials to cast any magic during emergency. Remember to maintain your mana and make sure you won’t be exhausted. My gut feeling said this battle will be a long one.”

Everyone nodded and immediately followed the plan.

First, the lightning element blessed shot several bolts of lightning that looked like hundreds of snakes flying toward the demon king.

The moment the lightning struck the demon king, it immediately caused parts of the demon king to explode.

Just as planned, the lightning element blessed continuously maintained their bolts of lightning to burn every part of the demon king.

After a few seconds since the lightning element blessed’s attack, the wind and fire element blessed followed suit.

The fire element blessed worked together to shoot a massive fireball toward the demon king, while the wind element blessed summoned a massive gust of wind at the appropriate time to expand the fire even further.

The instant the fireball reached the demon king, one tenth of its body exploded.

After such massive damage, the demon king finally responded.

Its round body, which is made of mutilated body parts or even minced meat, began to ripple like water. Soon, a loud wailing sound followed, and it released a tornado in the surrounding area.

The tornado devastated the buildings around it while throwing a few blessed off balance.

Luckily, those blessed with divine strength helped their surrounding ally, because after releasing the tornado, the demon king actually shot thousands of small water jets from the holes in its body.

The jet of water shot like a laser beam, easily piercing the ground and surrounding buildings.

Thankfully, some earth element blessed has responded quickly and created a reinforced earth wall that could withstand the water jet’s impact.

The attack lasted for almost a whole minute. During this time, the demon king occasionally moved, which caused the water jet’s direction to change.

After the demon king’s attack ended, every blessed has either been slightly injured by the endless wind blades, with one of them being heavily wounded and losing an arm after being hit by the demon king’s water jet. Luckily, there’s a healer among the army’s Level 3 blessed who helped him stop the bleeding temporarily.

While the healer healed the wounded blessed, everyone else regrouped and prepared to launch another attack toward the demon king.

Because of the wet ground, the lightning element blessed could no longer attack in case the lightning spread through the water. Thus, they immediately launched several fire and wind attacks.

The now useless lightning blessed took their casting materials and joined the Level 3 fire and wind blessed to hurl an explosive fireball toward the demon king.

After the fireball, the demon king released a piercing wail as it released another storm filled with wind blades.

But unlike before, after releasing these wind blades, the demon king doesn’t follow it with a water attack. Instead, its body trembled and slightly changed shape.

The holes on the demon king's surface changed position. Most of them merged with one another, creating eight big holes at the lower part of the ball-shaped demon king.

During these changes, the demon king never stopped spewing winds from its holes.

As everyone watched with bated breath, the demon king released even stronger winds that’s accompanied by water spurt from the eight massive holes on its body.

The wind kept getting stronger until the dozen-meter-tall ball of flesh somehow floated in the air.

““It… IT COULD FLY?!”” Almost at the same time, a few elves and dwarves shouted in shock.

Feeling something has greatly changed for the worse, the leading dwarf commanded, “Except for healers, I want you to shoot your strongest power! Those with lightning element, change your power into wind and try to disturb that flesh ball from flying even further!”

Everyone used their strongest power and hurled endless rocks, ice, winds, and waters toward the demon king. But due to the storm it caused, most of the attack missed its target.

Catherina also felt something was wrong and finally used the wind and earth lances in her hands.

She activated the power inside the lance and targeted the demon king.

Instantly, the lance activated. The wind lance shot a cone-shaped wind that exploded upon reaching the demon king, causing it to lose a tenth of the flesh that made up its body.

Meanwhile, the earth lance caused the nearby ground to instantly shoot toward the sky, targeting the demon king that had lost its balance from the wind lance’s attack.

The earth spike successfully skewered the demon king, making it look like a skewered meatball dripping with translucent sauce.

Due to its injuries, the demon king released a piercing wail as its body began to ripple. As it rippled, the ball-shaped body moved like soft slime and slowly freed itself from the earth spike.

When it fell from the earth spike that pierced it, the surrounding ground trembled.

Watching what the demon king has just done, the leading dwarf muttered, “It seems a piercing attack won’t cause much damage to the demon king. Guess we should focus on blunt damage now.”

Then, he commanded, “Everyone, use the earth element to create a pair of walls to smash it! From now on, we shouldn’t give it any chance to fly!”

With the Level 3 earth element blessed leading them, the other blessed took their casting materials and created a pair of earth walls that rose to the ground and squished the demon king in the middle.

The demon king, who hasn’t entirely recovered, got squished between the earth walls just like a mosquito getting clapped.

The compression of the earth wall forced parts of the demon king’s body to explode outward, leaving only half trapped between the wall.

Some of the body parts even flew toward the team and soaked a few blessed with liquids, blood, and minced meat.

The blessed quickly turned pale, with some even retching from overwhelming disgust.

Regardless, the majority of the remaining elves and dwarves wore expressions of joy, saying, “Did we actually defeat it just like that?”

Catherina shot a furious look at the elf who had spoken, “Shut up! You’re raising a flag!”

Cedric, observing from the Divine Space, also communicated with Catherina to confirm the unfortunate news.

It even ran over a blessed along the way, which directly crushed and killed her.

After crushing her, the demon king stopped for a moment before rolling back slightly to merge the dead blessed into its body.

“Lefiah!!!” A few elves screamed when they saw the elf that got crushed by the rolling ball of flesh.

“I am sorry for your loss, but please mourn her later. For now, we must kill that flesh ball first.” The leading dwarf patted one of the elves who shouted the dead elf’s name.

The elf clenched his fist and gritted his teeth as he stared angrily at the demon king.

Before they could start pursuing the demon king, something else drew everyone’s attention.

“Aaaaaaargghhhhhh?!!!!!!” A few team members suddenly cried out in pain. Those elves and dwarves, whose bodies are still covered in blood and flesh from the demon king, screamed in intense pain as multiple tumor-like swellings rapidly developed from their bodies and then exploded, sending blood and flesh to the surroundings.
