After 11 Years... 2002
Chettinad Vidyashram School...
Principal's Office...
The principal's office had never felt this tense before.
A ceiling fan rotated lazily overhead.
Files were stacked across the wooden table.
Rain clouds gathered outside the windows.
And in the center of the room stood three boys who looked less like school students and more like suspects awaiting criminal sentencing.
At the center stood eleven-year-old Karuppan.
Or as literally everyone called him:
Karuppu.
Messy hair. Shirt untucked.
Tie hanging loose around his neck.
And an expression so shamelessly calm that it nearly gave the adults in the room high blood pressure.
To his left stood Darshan.
To his right stood Mahendran.
Together…
They were infamous across the entire school.
Not as good students. Not as good children.
But as A natural disaster.
Meanwhile, sitting before them was Sivakumar.
"...."
The same man who had once looked at newborn Karuppan with overflowing happiness now sat in deadly silence.
The veins on his forehead twitched dangerously.
The principal sitting beside him looked utterly exhausted.
Like a war veteran forced to relive trauma.
Finally, he removed his glasses slowly as if he was about to acknowledge the war crime he committed.
"Mr. Sivakumar…"
He began with visible helplessness,
"your son and his two friends have crossed every possible limit."
Karuppu quietly looked away toward the window.
-Whistle!
The principal's eye twitched.
-Twitch!
"Young man, don't look outside like some innocent freedom fighter!"
Karuppu slowly turned back.
"Yes, sir."
The principal inhaled deeply seeing through his good boy act.
Then came the flashbacks.
And each one felt worse than the previous.
Earlier That Week…
The mathematics teacher had just completed a brutal algebra class.
Sweat covered his forehead as he sighed tiredly before sitting on his chair.
-Sigh!
For exactly three seconds… Everything was peaceful.
"...."
Then—
"…Hm?"
The teacher frowned. Something felt wrong.
-Frown!
He tried to stand. Nothing happened.
He pushed harder. Still nothing.
Confusion slowly turned into horror.
The chair came up with him.
The entire classroom fell silent.
"...."
"...."
"...."
One student screamed.
Another started laughing uncontrollably.
"-HAHAHAHA!!!"
"-HAHAHAHA!!!"
"-HAHAHAHA!!!"
The teacher panicked seeing he couldn't able to get up.
"WHAT IS THIS?!"
Then came the horrifying realization.
Super glue.
Industrial-strength super glue.
Applied perfectly across the entire chair.
The rescue operation required:
three teachers, two workers, coconut oil, and eventually medical assistance.
By the end of the ordeal…
The chair won.
The math teacher was rushed to the hospital with injuries severe enough to require several weeks of rest.
Back in the principal's office—
Sivakumar slowly turned toward Karuppu.
Karuppu stared at the ceiling innocently avoiding his father's eyes.
"...."
The principal continued before he lost the courage to do so.
Two Days Later…
PT1 period.
The playground buzzed with excitement.
Students gathered around as the PT master joined the cricket match personally.
"Come on!"
He laughed confidently.
"-Haha!!!"
"Show me your bowling!"
Karuppu adjusted the ball in his hand.
Except…
It was not the soft practice stumper ball allowed by the school.
No.
The three demons had secretly switched it with a real cork ball.
Mahendran distracted everyone.
Darshan blocked visibility for the class rep who was acting as a umpire.
And Karuppu who was the one who bowled…
Delivered death itself.
The ball swung inward violently.
A perfect inswing delivery.
Direct hit. Impact echoed through the ground.
Silence.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Then—
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
The PT master collapsed instantly.
Both hands clutching his unguarded crotch.
Rolling across the ground in unimaginable pain.
Several boys fainted just from witnessing it.
The PT master had to be hospitalized for two days.
To this day, half the male students in the school still flinched remembering the sound.
Back in the office—
Sivakumar closed his eyes slowly.
He looked like a man praying for divine patience.
Karthi, who had secretly arrived outside the office midway through the meeting, was currently biting his own hand trying not to laugh.
He had arrived feeling what took his father so long she he came from the parking lot.
Meanwhile…
The principal had not finished. Unfortunately.
Yesterday…
The social science teacher sat peacefully inside the staff room correcting notebooks.
After finishing, she casually took out a small mirror.
Lipstick. Compact powder.
Touch-up time.
The perfect moment.
Meanwhile, outside the room…
Three tiny masked criminals prepared for battle.
Black plastic covers with eye holes on their head.
Water balloons filled with drainage water.
Karuppu raised his hand dramatically.
"Operation Flood begins now."
Darshan nodded seriously giving a military salute.
-Nod
Mahendran almost died laughing already.
Then—ATTACK.
The balloons exploded across the teacher in rapid succession.
"AAAAAAAHHH!"
Dirty water drenched her completely.
The smell alone nearly weaponized the atmosphere.
The boys immediately turned to flee—Only for the principal himself to arrive at the corridor after hearing the scream.
The three boys came to a safe place.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Slowly… Very slowly…
Karuppu removed the plastic cover from his face not noticing the principal as arrived.
The principal stared blankly at him.
"...."
"...."
Karuppu stared back at him.
A long silence followed.
Then the principal whispered:
"…I am going to resign."
Back in the present…
The principal slammed the file shut dramatically.
"If your son was not one of the brightest students in this entire school,"
He declared loudly,
"he would already be expelled!"
Sivakumar looked ready to ascend spiritually from stress.
"...."
The principal pointed toward Mahendran next.
"And him? He's already a child actor! If this scandal reaches outside, the media will tear the school apart!"
Mahendran lowered his head dramatically.
"Sorry, sir…"
Then came Darshan.
The principal looked even more defeated.
"And this boy…"
He muttered weakly.
The room fell silent.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Because everyone knew the problem.
Darshan's parents were extremely influential.
And worse—The moment expulsion was mentioned…
Darshan had immediately declared.
"If Karuppu leaves, I'll also leave this school."
The principal nearly collapsed on the spot hearing that.
Meanwhile, the true mastermind of all chaos stood calmly in the middle.
Karuppu.
The child who somehow carried.
Top grades, perfect confidence, limitless audacity, and absolutely no fear of consequences.
Sivakumar slowly stood up.
The three boys stiffened immediately.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Even the principal looked nervous now.
Sivakumar approached Karuppu silently.
The room became deathly quiet.
Then finally—He spoke breaking the silence.
"What exactly goes on inside your head?"
Karuppu thought seriously for two seconds.
Then answered honestly.
"Mostly cinema and bad ideas."
Outside the office—
Karthi fell to the floor laughing silently while holding his stomach.
Hearing his brother giving him thumps up only his younger brother could speak like this to their father.
Inside…
Sivakumar slowly rubbed his forehead.
"...."
The principal looked ready to retire from education permanently.
But then…
Sivakumar's expression slowly changed.
He turned toward Karuppu and stared at him for a long moment.
Too long.
Karuppu immediately noticed it.
Because unlike everyone else…
His father knew him too well.
Sivakumar had raised this boy for eleven years.
He knew one thing clearly:
Karuppu was troublesome. Very troublesome.
But he was not cruel.
He would prank anyone if he was simply bored.
Workers. Friends. Neighbors.
Even family. Yet this time…
Only teachers had been targeted.
That alone told Sivakumar something was wrong.
Finally, he spoke quietly.
"What's the real reason?"
The room went still.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Darshan and Mahendran exchanged glances instantly.
The principal frowned slightly.
-Frown!
Karuppu remained silent.
Sivakumar continued staring at him calmly.
"You never target only one group unless there's a reason, So tell me properly."
Father and son locked eyes.
One calm as if he had already solved the problem.
One stubborn in his belife.
For a few seconds, the room felt strangely tense.
Then finally—Karuppu sighed dramatically and raised his hand halfway like a criminal surrendering before police.
-Sigh!
"Fine…"
He pointed toward the first complaint file.
"Maths sir first."
The principal folded his arms.
Karuppu clicked his tongue.
-Tch!
"Whenever students ask doubts, he doesn't teach properly."
Darshan nodded immediately.
-Nod!
"He'll insult them first."
Mahendran added finally feeling left out.
"And then ask questions outside the lesson just to embarrass them."
Karuppu continued with a smirk.
-Smirk!
"If they don't answer, he punishes them in front of everyone."
The room quietened slightly.
Even the principal's expression shifted slightly to frown.
-Frown!
Karuppu leaned against the wall casually.
"One boy cried last month because of him."
That made Sivakumar's eyes narrow slightly.
Karuppu shrugged his shoulder.
"So we taught him practical chemistry instead."
The principal almost choked.
"YOU CALL THAT PRACTICAL CHEMISTRY?!"
Karuppu pointed seriously.
"Sir, technically glue is chemistry."
The principal looked ready to launch himself across the table.
"...."
Sivakumar silently raised a hand to stop him before looking toward the next file.
"The PT master?"
This time even Karuppu looked less guilty.
"Appa…1"
He began carefully with a pout,
"every PT period he's the only one batting."
Darshan immediately complained.
"He never lets students bat properly!"
Mahendran joined in to complaint.
"And every single day he keeps boasting about how he used to play cork-ball cricket."
Karuppu nodded his head as he put his finger on his chin.
"So we tested him."
The principal stared in disbelief.
"...."
"You tested him by firing a cork ball at his crotch?!"
Karuppu scratched his cheek.
-Scratch!
"In hindsight…"
A pause.
"…maybe slightly excessive."
"SLIGHTLY?!"
The principal exploded he still shivered remembering the scream of the PT sir.
Even Sivakumar exhaled deeply through his nose.
"...."
Meanwhile outside—
Karthi had now slid down the wall completely, tears forming from silent laughter.
Inside the office, the final complaint remained.
The social science teacher.
For the first time since the discussion began…
Karuppu's playful expression faded slightly.
"She shouldn't be teaching."
The principal blinked hearing his serious tone.
-Blink!
Karuppu continued calmly.
"Whenever certain students answer questions, she mocks their skin color or the community they were form."
The room became quiet instantly.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Darshan's face darkened slightly.
Mahendran folded his arms.
Karuppu looked toward the floor briefly before speaking again.
"She keeps passing comments like:
'People this dark should sit in the back.'
'At least use powder before coming to school.'
Things like that."
Even the principal's face changed now.
"And most classes…"
Karuppu added with mockery and helplessness,
"she spends more time fixing makeup than teaching."
The office fell silent.
"...."
"...."
"...."
No jokes this time. No laughter.
Sivakumar slowly looked toward his son.
Karuppu crossed his arms and muttered.
"So we decided to show her what her real beauty looks like."
The principal opened his mouth… Then closed it again.
"...."
Because for the first time since this meeting started…
He understood. Not the methods.
Absolutely not the methods.
But the reason.
Sivakumar remained silent for a long while.
Then finally—
He looked at Karuppu and asked quietly.
"So your solution for everything is violence and chaos?"
Karuppu answered immediately.
"No."
A pause.
"Sometimes emotional damage also works."
The principal slammed his head onto the table.
-THUD.
Darshan turned away to hide his laughter.
Mahendran nearly suffocated trying not to laugh aloud.
