Academy of Sins: My Six Succubi Roommates

Chapter 193. Diligent?

Succubi Chapter 193. Diligent?

For about five seconds, I achieved enlightenment. No thoughts. No responsibilities. Just static.

Then…

[Level Up! You are now Level 27!]

[Stat Points Gained: +5]

[HP and DP +100 points]

…

I stared at the ceiling. Still breathing hard. Still half dying spiritually.

“Excuse me?”

The system chimed again with all the emotional support of a tax collector.

[Additional EXP acquired through heightened emotional stimulation and adaptive public-risk response.]

My left eye twitched. “Public-risk response?”

[Your heart rate increased by 37%.]

[Excitement detected.]

I covered my face with one hand. This was humiliation.

I got emotionally jumped by a sleepy sloth succubus in the academy infirmary while pretending to be cursed by horny ghosts. And somehow, I leveled up from it.

What kind of protagonist path was this?

My gaze slowly shifted downward toward Sera.

She was still above me slightly, hair messy now, sleepy eyes half-lidded while her tentacles lazily retreated beneath the blanket like exhausted workers finishing overtime.

Meanwhile, I looked like I’d survived a small war. Sweaty. Flushed. Breathing unevenly. Absolutely cooked.

“Are you crazy?” I asked weakly.

Sera blinked at me once. “No. You’re in perfect condition for my grades now.”

I stared at her. “…Huh?”

And then the betrayal continued. One of her tentacles casually fixed my clothes. Like a very efficient demonic housewife. Pants adjusted. Shirt straightened. Blanket pulled over me.

I laid there in complete silence while the tentacle tucked me in like I was recovering from surgery.

“This is psychological warfare,” I muttered.

“Mhm.”

Then, without mercy, Sera grabbed the curtain and pulled it open.

Light flooded in instantly. Voices. Footsteps. Students everywhere. Staff walking around.

At least six people visible immediately.

My soul almost left my body again.

I sat there frozen for exactly half a second while still visibly flushed and sweating.

One student glanced over briefly.

I looked away immediately.

Nope. No eye contact. I refuse.

And yeah… now I got it.

My previous condition? Too normal. Too healthy. Too “this guy clearly walked out of the forest without a problem.”

But now?

Sweaty. Breathing unevenly. Hair messy. Face overheated. Body limp under a blanket like I barely survived supernatural contamination.

Oh this whole thing was calculated.

Sera needed me to look medically handled.

Which meant she absolutely knew what she was doing the entire time.

Sera, meanwhile?

Completely calm.

She grabbed her clipboard with the cat doodle and started scribbling aggressively across the paper.

“Patient condition stable now,” she muttered professionally. “Successfully removed curse contamination.”

I blinked.

Curse. Right. Good cover.

Then without missing a beat. “Parasites fully cleared.”

I stared at her.

You literally JUST said curse!

Now parasites?

Pick a disease category!

This lie has no structure.

But somehow? Somehow it worked. Because nearby students immediately looked impressed.

One whispered quietly, “Whoa… she handled a contamination alone?”

Another nodded seriously. “Sera’s actually diligent tonight.”

I almost choked.

Diligent?

This woman just harvested academic points off my trauma.

Sera continued scribbling fake medical notes like she was writing the final chapter of a bestselling novel.

“You just need rest,” she said professionally, adjusting imaginary glasses she wasn’t even wearing. “You’re good to go.”

“…But—”

“No need to thank me.”

I closed my mouth slowly.

This girl was terrifying. She could commit to nonsense with absolute confidence.

A voice suddenly called from another room. “Sera! We need your help over here!”

Her entire expression immediately changed. Like her soul just got informed overtime existed.

A sleepy displeased noise escaped her throat.

“…Tch.”

She slowly stood up from the bed like gravity itself had personally offended her. “Coming,” she called back weakly.

The amount of suffering packed into that single word was incredible.

She turned slightly, about to leave. And before my brain could stop me, I grabbed her wrist.

Sera paused. Looked down slowly at my hand around her wrist. Then back at me.

The room suddenly felt quieter again. Not literally. People still moved around outside. Voices still echoed through the infirmary. But my focus narrowed anyway. Because now that the chaos settled a little, I noticed things.

The warmth of her skin. The softness of her sleeve under my fingers. The faint flush still lingering on her cheeks. And the fact that despite all the teasing…

Despite the fake medical drama…

She really did check if I came back safe.

That part sat weirdly in my chest.

I narrowed my eyes slightly. “I’ll make you pay for this.”

Sera blinked slowly.

Then, very slowly, the corners of her lips lifted.

Not a full smile.

Just enough.

Enough to be dangerous.

“Mhm,” she murmured softly.

Like she already accepted the challenge.

Which was honestly unfair.

I released her wrist carefully.

Sera stayed still for one extra second before stepping back.

Then she leaned slightly closer again.

Just enough for only me to hear.

“You sounded cute earlier.”

My face immediately heated again.

She looked completely unbothered.

Then another student yelled from the hallway.

“Sera! Hurry up!”

She sighed dramatically.

The sigh of a woman forced to participate in society against her will.

“Academy is cruel,” she muttered.

She started walking away slowly, sleeves hanging over her hands slightly as she shuffled toward the next room with maximum sleepy healer energy.

Halfway there, she stopped. Turned slightly. Looked back at me. Hair messy. Eyes soft.

Still somehow prettier than she had any right being after committing crimes against my nervous system.

“Good job tonight, Anomaly,” she said quietly.

Then she yawned immediately after and ruined the emotional moment completely.

“…I need coffee.”

I laughed before I could stop myself.

A tired real laugh.

Sera blinked once like she wasn’t expecting it.

Then walked away.
