Reincarnated in a Fantasy World Where I Can Conquer All Women

Chapter 39: Adaptation

Adam eventually returned to his room, clutching the documents against his chest.

The door closed softly behind him.

For several seconds, he remained motionless in the middle of the room.

His body was exhausted.

His mind, however, still refused to settle down.

The training.

Valoria’s games.

Shiora’s plans.

Elaria’s requests.

Vespera’s exercises.

The barrier.

The Empire.

Nocthar.

Everything piled up inside his head like lines of code in an overly complex program.

Adam placed the documents on his desk and let out a sigh.

"First, a bath. Then the rules. Otherwise, I’m going to collapse onto the table."

He walked toward the bathroom.

Thanks to the manor’s magical system, hot water quickly filled the large bathtub.

Adam removed his clothes, stepped into the water, and let the warmth envelop his body.

Almost immediately, Mana Body began circulating his mana more efficiently.

His muscles relaxed.

His aches faded.

His breathing became steady.

Adam closed his eyes.

"This bathtub deserves a blessing all by itself..."

After a few minutes of silence, he opened his inventory.

The rewards he had obtained after spending the night with Selene were still there.

Two Rare Chests.

One Common Chest.

Adam watched the three glowing chests floating before him.

"All right. Let’s see what the system has in store for me this time."

He started with the Common Chest.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Common Chest Opened

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Reward Obtained:

*Normal Healing Potion ×1

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

A small vial appeared inside his inventory.

The crimson liquid shimmered with a soft glow.

Adam nodded slowly.

"Simple... but useful."

He then opened the first Rare Chest.

Its lid lifted in a pale blue light.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Adam straightened slightly in the bath.

"Adaptation..."

He reread the description.

His thoughts immediately drifted to Selene’s training room.

The shifting platforms.

The unstable gravity.

The countless falls.

The sudden pressure changes.

Then he thought of Vespera’s lessons.

Mana compression.

Flow precision.

Magic circles.

"This skill will be perfect for Selene’s and Vespera’s training."

He placed his hand on the book.

A blue light surrounded him.

The pages opened on their own before dissolving into countless particles of light.

The knowledge flowed directly into his mind.

A slight shiver ran through his body.

It wasn’t a feeling of overwhelming power.

Rather...

A new inner flexibility.

As though his body had just learned to listen more carefully to every change around it.

Adaptation Lv.1

Adam remained silent.

Then a smile appeared on his lips.

"Selene is going to love this."

He paused for a second.

"No... she’ll just increase the difficulty even faster."

His smile faded slightly.

"Maybe I should have hidden this skill."

But he already knew it was pointless.

With Selene, Vespera, Elaria, and the others around him, someone would eventually notice.

He then opened the second Rare Chest.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Rare Chest Opened

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Reward Obtained:

*Free Stat Points +2

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Adam blinked.

"More stat points."

He already had quite a few available.

He had intentionally avoided spending them until he better understood his weaknesses.

But now, with Selene’s, Vespera’s, and Elaria’s guidance, he was beginning to understand the path he wanted to take.

He closed his inventory.

Then, out of curiosity, he opened his status window.

He read the statistics a second time.

Every one of them had increased by one point.

He remained silent in surprise.

"When did that happen?"

A new window appeared, as if the system had answered his confusion.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Adam was speechless.

Slowly, he rested his head against the edge of the bathtub.

"So I can increase my stats without spending points..."

That was a crucial discovery.

At first, he had assumed his growth depended mostly on system rewards and stat points.

But that wasn’t the case.

Real training mattered.

Effort mattered.

Experience mattered.

He thought back to the previous day.

Selene throwing him across the training room.

Elaria making him repeat every movement.

Shiora pushing him to think through economic strategies.

Vespera forcing him to manipulate mana until complete mental exhaustion.

He hadn’t noticed the changes because he had been too focused.

Or simply too busy surviving.

"Sword Mastery and Heal also reached Level Two..."

He opened the details.

"That’s definitely Selene’s doing."

The next window appeared.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Heal Lv.2

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Improved Effects:

*More effective minor healing

*Better stabilization of light injuries

*Slightly reduced mana cost

*More precise control over healing mana

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Adam thought for a moment.

"It must have evolved during Vespera’s exercises... or while my body was recovering after training."

He remained silent for a while.

Then a more determined smile appeared on his face.

Every day in this world forced him to grow.

But now he understood something important.

The system didn’t replace effort.

It amplified it.

If he trained properly, his rewards became more effective.

If he truly learned, his skills evolved.

If he pushed his body to its limits, his stats increased.

Adam closed his eyes.

"All right... then I’ll keep going."

After spending a long time in the bath, he finally stepped out.

Steam still lingered throughout the room.

He wrapped a towel around his waist and ran a hand through his damp hair.

He felt better.

Still tired, but lighter.

Stronger, too.

As if his body had truly gained something from all those trials.

He left the bathroom.

Then stopped dead in his tracks.

Elaria was sitting on his bed.

Adam froze.

The white elf calmly raised her eyes toward him.

She was there.

Completely at ease.

As though quietly entering his room without making a sound was perfectly normal.

Adam hadn’t heard her at all.

Not a single footstep.

Not a single breath.

Not even the door opening.

But what struck him the most was what she was wearing.

Elaria wore a white-and-silver elven priestess outfit.

The fabric was elegant, delicate, and perfectly fitted, paired with long white stockings reaching high up her legs.

The outfit looked sacred.

Noble.

Yet far too daring to be worn by coincidence in a man’s bedroom at night, just after he had stepped out of the bath.

Adam remained silent.

Then he slowly inhaled.

"Elaria..."

She tilted her head slightly.

A faint smile appeared on her lips.

"Good evening, Adam."

He glanced at the door.

Then at her.

Then back at the door.

"Does anyone in this manor actually know how to knock and wait for an answer?"

"Yes."

"Who?"

Elaria thought for a moment.

"The maids. Sometimes."

Adam closed his eyes.

"I see."

She placed her notebook on the bed beside her.

"Did you open your rewards?"

Adam looked at her.

"You came here just for that?"

Her calm smile remained unchanged.

"Not only for that."

Those two words were enough for Adam to understand exactly why she had come.

He looked once more at her outfit.

Then sighed.

"I suppose it’s your turn."

Elaria slowly stood up.

Her movements were calm.

Measured.

Unlike Selene, there was nothing wild about the way she approached him.

Nothing sudden.

Nothing impulsive.

Elaria moved with the precision of someone who had already analyzed every possibility.

And somehow...

That was just as dangerous.

"After Selene, I thought you’d be harder to surprise."

Adam watched her approach.

"I’m starting to believe each of you has your own way of putting me in difficult situations."

"That is correct."

"You admit it without hesitation?"

"There is no point in denying facts."

Adam fell silent.

Then muttered,

"That’s such an Elaria answer."

She stopped in front of him.

Her pale blue eyes studied his face, then his still-damp shoulders, before meeting his gaze again.

"You’re tired."

"Very."

"But your mana is circulating more smoothly than yesterday. Your body is recovering faster. And your eyes are steadier."

Adam raised an eyebrow.

"You’re analyzing me again?"

"Yes."

"Even in a situation like this?"

Elaria gently raised her hand and placed one finger against his chest.

"Especially in a situation like this."

Adam felt his heart beat faster.

The white elf looked at him with almost perfect composure.

Yet the faint blush coloring her cheeks betrayed what her expression tried to conceal.

"I’ve spent a lot of time thinking since yesterday," she said.

Adam smiled faintly.

"I’m not surprised."

"I compared several sets of information. Your reactions. The others’ reactions. The effects of your power. Your behavior with Elena, Isadora, Lyriana, and Selene..."

Adam rubbed his forehead.

"You really conducted a complete analysis?"

"Of course."

She paused briefly.

Then her expression softened.

"But in the end... the conclusion is simple."

Adam looked at her.

"What is it?"

Elaria stepped a little closer.

This time, her voice became quieter.

Gentler.

"I want you to see me too. Not only as the Guild Master of the Artisans. Not only as a researcher. Not only as someone who calculates, organizes, and creates."

She looked up into his eyes.

"I want to know how you see me when I’m no longer standing behind a workbench."

Adam remained silent.

Her words touched him more deeply than he had expected.

Behind her calm demeanor.

Behind her glasses.

Behind her analytical mind.

Elaria carried the same hidden vulnerability as the others.

The desire to be recognized differently.

As a woman.

As a person.

Not merely as a role.

Adam gently raised his hand and brushed his fingers against her cheek.

"Then let me look at you."

Elaria said nothing.

But her eyes shimmered faintly.

Adam smiled.

"You’re beautiful, Elaria."

Her lips parted ever so slightly.

For a brief second, her perfect composure seemed to crack.

Then she lowered her gaze.

"...That is pleasant information to receive."

Adam chuckled softly.

"Even your reactions are organized."

"Not all of them."

She raised her head again.

Her gaze had become more intense.

"Some of them... are much less organized."

The room suddenly felt quieter.

Adam sensed that the moment had changed.

Elaria stepped closer once more.

In a voice barely above a whisper, she added,

"Tonight, I didn’t bring a lesson. No plans. No exercises."

She placed her hand in his.

"Only myself."

Adam looked at her for a long moment.

Then he gently drew her into his arms.

Elaria closed her eyes.

Their first kiss was far calmer than the one he had shared with Selene.

Slower.

More restrained.

Yet beneath that restraint, Adam sensed a deep tension.

A burning curiosity.

A desire Elaria had probably analyzed, categorized, and ultimately accepted.

Her arms slowly wrapped around his neck.

Still warmed by the bath, Adam caught the delicate fragrance of the white elf.

Something soft.

Clean.

Lightly floral.

When they finally parted, Elaria looked at him with an almost serious expression.

"I understand now."

Adam blinked.

"Understand what?"

"Why the others had that expression at breakfast."

Adam was silent for a moment.

Then he laughed quietly.

"You’re truly incredible."

Elaria rested her forehead against his chest.

"I know."

Adam wrapped his arms around her once more.

The night had only just begun.

And once again, he realized that with these women around him...

Getting any real rest was probably an impossible luxury.
