Chapter 125: Right Place, Right Time
Shelur's scream made the others jump and turn to stare at her as Emberslag asked, “What?”
Shelur just sighed before saying, “No.”
[GENESIS WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT]
[Congratulations to Shelur for successfully becoming the first player in Genesis to be responsible for the creation of an entirely new spell due to their actions.]
[They will receive the following rewards:]
[Title: Spell creator]
[Title: First in the world]
Everyone stared at the world announcement before Emberslag stared at her friend and screamed, “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!”
Black Dragoon pressed her hand to her face while saying, “I tell you, this entire dungeon is messed up. Nothing makes sense.”
Mel, on the other hand, turned to Shizu while asking, “What are you doing here?”
“Don’t ask me,” Shizu replied defensively. “One minute I’m speaking with Elrinia about how to use my class, and the next minute she says something about wanting me to find out how such a weak warlock can summon a succubus. And then I ended up here- where is here, by the way?”
“You should already be aware of that,” Mel replied with a sigh while pointing to Emberslag.
“Oh! It’s Embersal, Shelure and Black Dragoon; I guess this must be the dungeon outside Gar Lodir that Emberslag found,” Shizu replied before realising something and turning to smile happily at the last member of the party while saying. “Hello again, Vincarna.”
“Ninth Wonder of the World, it’s a pleasure to see you again,” John replied before adding. “Congratulations on becoming the first player to unlock an underworld class.”
“Thank you very much,” Shizu said with a happy smile and was about to say more when Black Dragoon asked curiously. “What class did you get?”
Shizu smiled mischievously as she turned to Shelur and said, “I’ll tell you if Shelur tells us exactly how she just acquired a Genesis world announcement.”
“It’s not my fault; this is all Queen Elrinira’s doing," Shelur said defensively before explaining all the notifications she had just received in rapid succession. “And now my friends and family are bombarding me with questions about the world announcement and what the titles give me.”
“Hence why I kept mine quiet,” John replied while Mel rolled her eyes and said. “Well, we aren't all as ridiculously humble as you.”
Shizu smirked at this before asking, “Didn’t you plan to be humble and hide your name from your own world announcement, only to forget at the last minute due to the excitement?”
Mel flushed in embarrassment while saying, “We all make mistakes.”
“So what class did you receive?” Black Dragoon asked curiously.
“This,” Shizu replied happily as an exact copy of herself appeared beside her, surprising Black Dragoon, Emberslag and Shelur while saying. “I’m a mesmer.”
“A mesmer?” Shelur asked in confusion. “What role do they play in groups?”
“It’s a supportive role that focuses mainly on buffing allies while debuffing enemies,” Shizu explained, prompting John to ask. “Has that role existed before now? I don’t think I’ve come across it in my research.”
“Because it’s never been a dedicated role before now,” Shizu replied before continuing. “While there are many classes that can either buff allies or debuff enemies, there has never been a specific class that can do both before now. For example.]

And as she finished speaking, Shizu waved her hand, causing two notifications to appear before them.
[Slow]

[Haste]
[Haste: Hastens the target's casting speed by 25%]
[Time Element]

[No Cooldown]
[Duration: 15 seconds]
Shelur’s eyes widened in surprise as she read the notifications before asking, “You actually have two time element spells, and they both affect casting time?”
“Time and space element spells and skills are supposed to be the rarest; I was already shocked at seeing that Vincerna had them,” Emberslage added, while Shizu pushed out her already ample chest and added proudly. “Pretty cool, right?”
“That is so broken,” Mel stated, resulting in Shizu being even more proud and saying gloatingly. “Now you're not the only special one.”
Black Dragoon studied the description of the spells and listened to the conversation until she heard Shizu’s remark, at which point she turned to John and asked, “What exactly are you?”
“Excuse me?” John asked in surprise, which caused Shizu to frown and ask. “That was a bit rude, don’t you think? You of all people should know better?”
“Apologies, I meant no disrespect,” Black Dragoon replied before adding, “But you're just such an anomaly.”
“What do you mean?” Shelur asked curiously.
Black Dragoon took a moment to gather her thoughts before saying, “Well, first off, before Ninth Wonder of the World here even arrived, this dungeon run seemed to have been affected by your presence and class quest. Now Ninth Wonder of the World is here because of Elrinira messing with Shelur’s summoning spell, again thanks to your presence. And now we learn that it’s because of you that not only did Dream Star get a class that was thought to be exclusive, but also Ninth Wonder of the World is here.”
“Actually, that’s a good point,” Shelur replied while looking at John hopefully and asking. “If I stick with you, will I get a special class?”
“Stop being greedy. You just got the first-in-the-world title, giving you double stat points on level up,” Emberslag snapped before looking at John with sparkling eyes while saying. “If anyone needs to stick with him, it’s me; after all, he’s only in this dungeon because of me.”
“Oh really?” Shelur snapped back. “Went and recruited him for this dungeon yourself, did you? I suppose that whole me contacting Nin… Princess Shizu had nothing to do with it?”
“Enough, you two,” Black Dragoon snapped before turning back to John. “As I was saying, you seem to, for some reason, have an influence on things happening in Genesis, which makes no sense.”
“She has a point,” Mel added. “If I didn’t know your luck was so bad from all these loot rolls, I’d swear your luck stat was off the charts.”
“Luck stat?” John asked in surprise. “Is there such a thing?”
“Not officially,” Mel explained. “But in the hundred-odd years since Genesis's release, players have noticed that some people tend to get better loot drops than others way more often than should be possible. This has led people to believe that there is a hidden luck stat in Genesis that we can’t see.”
“Speaking of influencing those around you, care to explain why you gave Two of Eight the Sheolarbiter badge?” Shizu asked, only to raise an eyebrow in surprise when John didn’t react to her question.
This was because at that precise moment, John had received a series of notifications.
[The words of your friends have caused the Goddess Tyche’s hidden blessing to become known, causing the goddess to sigh in disappointment that her amusement at everyone's confusion couldn’t last a little longer.]
[Tyche’s Blessing: Known as the Goddess of luck and fate, Tyche’s blessing would normally revolve around sudden, unearned good fortune, unexpected windfalls, or serendipitous success that defies normal logic and hard work. However, she is known to very rarely grant it because of how powerful it is, and it is only because you are the Warden, someone connected with balance, that she has bestowed her blessing upon you.]
[NOTICE: Your Warden class has affected Tyche’s Blessing, altering it in ways for it to become more balanced.]
[Effects:]
[Passive Skill: Right Place, Right Time]
[Right Place, Right Time: You have a higher chance of opportunities presenting themselves to you and those around you; however, while these opportunities are almost always beneficial to those around you, because of your Warden class, these opportunities can be either beneficial or detrimental to yourself.]
[Passive Skill: Bountiful Loot]
[Bountiful Loot: You and your party members have a greater chance of pulling the best items from a defeated enemy's loot pool. There is also a small chance of you receiving a random second item for free.]
[Passive Skill: Weighted Dice]
[Weighted Dice: Due to your enhanced luck in Bountiful Loot, you will have worse luck when it comes to loot from trash mobs, rolls associated with them and quest items.]
“You’ve gotta be shitting me,” John cursed, causing the women to stare at him in surprise as he looked up towards the ceiling and asked. “This? This is why I’ve had such crap rolls?”
For a second, the group of six could have sworn they heard a sweet voice laughing, causing all the women to look around in confusion before Mel hesitantly asked, “Err, you okay?”
John sighed before waving his hand and displaying the notifications he had just received, adding in a defeated tone, “See for yourself.”
