Chapter 34: Back to Genesis
The best way to describe the reaction of the majority of the planet's inhabitants was shock, while the majority of the human race's reaction was shock and outrage. They could not believe that Dawnscape City government officials had done something so stupid and lost them Stone-mist Castle.
The Dawnscape guild's members started to panic at the reaction the rest of the human race would have against them, and so many decided to immediately leave the guild.
The other races, though shocked that the human race could be so stupid, applauded the fact that a Great Ocean Siege for Stone Mist Castle would soon begin and quickly began to make preparations for it.

In Dawnscape City, everyone understood that this was going to be a night many of them would never forget and so the majority of the citizens had adhered to Tia’s recommendation to remain indoors.
As soon as Tia made her announcement, General Vimes ordered the go-ahead for the military personnel that had been quietly stationed in and around the city to move against each of the targets Tia had indicated.
With the temporary lifting of the restriction on the use of force without due cause, the military personnel showed no restraint and immediately started kicking in doors to gain entry to the different houses, apartments or whatever other building the targets were in, according to their access band tracking data.
This list included the Mayor of Dawnscape City, Jasper Dawn, who immediately protested at the military barging into his home while ordering his guards to deal with the intruders. A firefight broke out, but the military's superior numbers made quick work of the guards, leaving Jasper Dawn staring in shock at the now-dead corpses of his guards before the head military officer sent to apprehend him knocked him unconscious before dragging him away.
Mary Brown, who had nervously been discussing with her husband the racial punishment announcement, screamed when their door was suddenly kicked in, only for military personnel to storm into their house. As she continued to scream, her husband attempted to protest, only for them both to be incapacitated and carted away.
General Vimes himself led a team towards the gated community where the target at the very top of Tia’s list, Frank Hargreaves, lived, and when the armoured Humvee they rode in approached the gate, General Vimes ordered the driver to plough right through the gates, causing the security alarm to go off while the Humvee raced along the street before pullin up in front of the targets house.
As the gated community's alarm rang through the air, security personnel appeared and made a beeline for the armoured Humvee. General Vimes, along with the rest of his team, calmly climbed out of the Humvee and aimed their weapons at the approaching security personnel.
“We are here under orders of Empress Alexia Bristle herself; you all get one warning. Drop your weapons and surrender or be fired upon,” General Vimes stated in a calm but authoritarian voice before he ignored the security personnel and headed for the target's front door.
As he kicked the front door, the security officers lowered their weapons before surrendering as he and his second in command stormed into the house before going room to room as they searched for their target
They found Frank Hargreaves hiding in his bedroom, where he appeared to have been in the middle of hurriedly packing his belongings.
“Packing for a trip? You’ll need it,” General Vimes asked with a sneer before ordering his second in command. “Detain the bastard.”
The second in command nodded before swiftly knocking Frank Hargreves unconscious and dragging him out to the armoured Humvee.
“General Vimes looked around the area before pressing a holographic key on his access band's holographic interface and ordering, "All teams report in.”
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Other teams had been sent to round up the other government officials and teachers from John's school; most of whom found their doors kicked in before being quickly restrained and taken away to the nearby detention facility that the military had quietly built in the nearby forest.

"John, hey John, wake up sleepyhead," An amused voice said, waking John from his slumber.
"Ugh, five more minutes," John mumbled before rolling over and falling off the sofa onto the floor.
“Ow,” He groaned as he heard someone giggling above him.
John slowly opened his eyes to find an unfamiliar ceiling above him. "Ugh, where am I?"
"Umm, your apartment," Sarah said in amusement as she appeared in his line of sight and looked down at him with amusement.
John smiled in return before mumbling while half asleep, “Isn’t black rather daring?”
Sarah tilted her head in confusion for a second until she realised that her position allowed John a perfect view up the skirt she was wearing. She immediately jumped away before glaring at him and saying, “Pervert.”
“You're the one who showed me,” John replied as he sat up and yawned while asking. "What time is it?"
"It's already noon, idiot," Sarah retorted as she continued to glare at him while her cheeks flushed.
"What! Noon? I need to get to work." John said before bolting up and looking around for a change of clothes.
"Work? What work?" Sarah asked as her glare turned to amusement. “You don’t have to work anymore, dummy.”
“What?” John asked, turning to her before he remembered what happened yesterday.
“Is it finally coming back to you?” Sarah teased before asking curiously. “Why are you sleeping on the couch? You have a perfectly good bed upstairs.”
“I was so tired last night I ended up just stumbling over to the couch and collapsing on it,” John explained.
“You mean after listening to the racial punishment announcement, right?” Sarah asked, causing John to look at her in surprise and ask, “Wait, that’s been announced?”
“You mean you don’t know?” Sarah asked in surprise. “How can anyone sleep through that siren? I mean it’s enough to wake the dead.”
John tilted his head in confusion while asking, “Siren?”
“Whenever a racial punishment announcement is made, Tia has every access band emit a very loud and annoying siren to make sure everyone pays attention,” Sarah explained.
“Nope,” Didn’t hear it,” John replied.
“Huh, you must have been shattered,” Sarah stated curiously. “Anyway, I came to let you know that the money owed to you should be paid within the next few hours. I have a few things I need to sort now that I’m back in the capital, but how about we go shopping later?”
“Sounds good; it will give me time to enter Genesis and try and finally enter the village,” John replied before taking a sniff of himself and saying. “But first I need a shower.”
“I wasn’t going to mention it,” Sarah remarked before heading for the elevator while adding. “You can find out more about the racial punishment announcement on Genesis News if you want; they wont stop discussing it.”
“Thanks,” John said before the elevator doors closed and Sarah vanished.
“Right shower,” John muttered before climbing the spiral staircase to the upper level.
Twenty minutes later, John climbed out of the shower and dried himself off using a towel while saying, “Damn, I’ve never had such a long shower before; it felt so good.”
After he was dry, he threw his old clothes back on before heading down to the kitchen to make himself something to eat. As he did, he used a control panel embedded into the breakfast counter to activate the holographic projector situated in the ceiling above the counter.
A holographic screen appeared before an automated voice suddenly asked, “Which channel would you like to watch?”
“Err, how do I even select the channel?” John wondered aloud as he stared at the see-through holographic screen.
“Please state the name of the channel you wish to watch,” The voice asked again.
“Umm, Genesis News?” John asked before the Genesis News channel was suddenly displayed on the holographic screen and the presenter's voice said. Repeating our top story.”
John listened to the presenter's explanation of the racial punishment announcement and everything that happened in Dawnscape City while he made himself some food before sitting down to eat it.
After he was finished eating and had washed the plates, he turned the holographic projector off before heading over to the couch, where he lay down.
He made himself comfortable before closing his eyes and excitedly saying, "Genesis Sync"

As John opened his eyes, he found himself in the same location he had logged out the day before, while the sun hung high in the sky, signalling it was around the middle of the day and making him suspect that the day/night cycle in Genesis matched that of Atlantia.
After stretching his body for a moment, John said, "Status."
