Chapter 308: He Bullied Her Fiercely in Bed Again
Ivy Sherwood’s phone rang while she and Quentin Blackwood were in the room.
Quentin had her pinned to the sofa, her phone having long since slipped to the floor.
Interrupted at a time like this, Quentin had no intention of dealing with the vibrating on the floor. He didn’t even pause. Ivy’s hand flailed, trying to stop the noise, but Quentin pulled it back.
"My... phone..." Ivy’s voice was breathy and soft.
"You can still think about your phone right now?" Quentin nipped her earlobe punishingly.
Although Ivy had turned off the ringer, it was still vibrating, which wasn’t much better.
Ivy panted, "Even if we ignore it, we should at least turn off the vibration..."
’Otherwise, it’ll keep nagging at me. It feels like I’m doing something illicit in secret.’
’How does Quentin have so much stamina? We were just going for so long, and he hasn’t even rested, yet he’s still so intense.’
Quentin finally loosened his hold on her slightly, giving Ivy a chance to pick up her phone.
She glanced at the screen. It was a call from Anna Nash’s parents.
Before her finger could swipe, Quentin pecked at her neck. "If you dare answer, I don’t mind letting them know exactly what you’re doing."
Quentin didn’t want to be disturbed, not even for a second. These insignificant calls shouldn’t even cross her mind.
Quentin’s words made Ivy’s body tense as the scene automatically played out in her mind.
Her whole body was flushed, her earlobes and cheeks a ridiculous shade of red.
Noticing the change in Ivy’s body, Quentin nearly surrendered.
He was no gentleman in this regard. He had always enjoyed teasing Ivy in bed.
He knew how sensitive she was, so he loved deliberately watching her get flustered.
"Or maybe we could go to the Blackwood estate together tonight. It’s your ex-fiancé’s big day. What kind of expression do you think he’d have if he saw you?"
"That first time at the Blackwood estate, didn’t you sneak into my room and crawl into my bed?"
"Why don’t we go back to the Blackwood estate tonight? In that very bed. How about it?"
"No... You... stop talking." Ivy had a strong reaction to Quentin’s dirty talk.
’That’s not what happened at all! I was locked in there by Sylvia Blackwood. I didn’t even know it was Quentin’s room at the time.’
’I was forced by the circumstances. How could he call it crawling into his bed?’
"Why stop? Niece-in-law, why aren’t you calling me ’Uncle’ anymore?"
"It’s... it’s not..." She arched her neck back.
"Not what? Not my niece-in-law? Or do you not want to call me ’Uncle’?"
"Stop talking..." Ivy couldn’t take it anymore. She wrapped her arms around Quentin’s neck and kissed him.
She used her lips to block all his words, so he couldn’t say anything else.
But in doing so, Ivy was undoubtedly feeding herself to the beast.
"Are you going to answer the phone or not?"
"I wasn’t... wasn’t going to answer."
Ivy hung up and powered off her phone, not even bothering with just turning off the vibration.
"Now no one can disturb us... Mmph..." The words had barely left her lips before Quentin’s kiss descended again.
...
Ivy felt like her bones had fallen apart all over again. When they finished, Quentin held her as they lay on the bed. He must have been exhausted, as he closed his eyes.
She rested against his chest, feeling his breath and heartbeat.
Ivy wasn’t sleepy, but in that moment, she just wanted to hold him and not move an inch.
For Quentin, working long hours without rest was a regular occurrence. After all, he had a sleep disorder and rarely got much rest before.
Ivy’s natural scent was like a sedative to him. With her by his side, he could always sleep soundly.
Holding her, in particular, was very comforting and relaxing.
And so, Quentin finally got his first good night’s sleep in days.
By the time Quentin woke up, Ivy had drowsily fallen asleep.
During this rare moment of relaxation, Quentin just held her, doing nothing else.
He was only now realizing that his feelings for Ivy seemed to run deeper than he had thought.
When he couldn’t see her, he thought of her. When he did see her, only one thought filled his mind: to possess her, to make her his and his alone.
He had never liked anyone else, so he didn’t know what to call this feeling.
He was incredibly grateful that he had returned to Lustre back when Silas Blackwood and Ivy were engaged. Otherwise, Ivy might have had no connection to him now, and would rightfully be his niece-in-law.
Ivy woke up a while later, not wanting to move in the slightest.
Seeing the sated Quentin, Ivy cursed, "You animal!"
"That makes me an animal?" The corners of Quentin’s mouth lifted; he was in a great mood.
Ivy opened her mouth and bit down on Quentin’s neck, leaving a clear tooth mark.
"That’s your punishment. If only the Mr. Blackwood in bed could be as abstinent as the Mr. Blackwood out of it!"
Quentin chuckled. "I’ll take that as you praising me for being capable."
To Ivy’s ears, that word "capable" now had a completely different meaning.
In every respect, Quentin was indeed very capable.
Ivy buried herself under the covers. Suddenly remembering something, she poked her head out again. "Where’s my phone? I have to call Anna Nash’s parents back."
Quentin was now fully sated, so he didn’t stop Ivy from making the call.
He picked up her phone from the floor and handed it to her. Only then did Ivy power it on.
Her phone was full of notifications. Besides the missed call from Anna’s parents, there was also a message from Nina Scott, asking how things were going with Mr. Blackwood.
After replying to Nina, Ivy prepared to call Anna’s parents.
Ivy made a shushing gesture. "I’m making a call. Don’t you dare say a word."
She dialed the number for Anna’s parents, and the call was answered almost immediately. "Hello? Ivy! We’re at the hotel now. A five-star hotel is really something else! The room is huge, and the bed is so comfortable."
Ivy had thought Anna’s parents would have gone to their home, not expecting them to be fobbed off like this. "How could Anna do that? You’re her parents, after all. She just stuck you in a hotel?"
"A hotel is nothing compared to the Blackwood estate. I think you should go stay there. Even if you don’t stay, shouldn’t you at least see the place where your daughter will be living?"
"You have a point. My old man and I will go right now!" Anna’s mother was thrilled. "By the way, Anna said she’s willing to give us a million to go home and never show up again. We said we’d call and ask you if a million is a lot. Should we take it?"
This was Ivy’s gift to Anna and the Blackwood Family; how could she let Anna get rid of them so easily? "A million isn’t even enough for them to buy a car. You must have heard, the venue for their wedding today cost over a hundred million. I think you should go to the Blackwood estate and see for yourselves before you decide anything."
"That damn girl! Trying to fob us off with that little money! We’re going to find her right now!" Anna’s parents were furious.
They had originally thought a million was a huge amount, but now it seemed like a drop in the bucket.
To the Blackwood estate! They had to go now. They were going to see for themselves just how rich the Blackwoods really were.
Hanging up the phone, Ivy knew the Blackwood estate was in for a chaotic night.
Anna was looking forward to this wedding so much. It was only fitting that her wedding night should be a lively one too.
Even without being there, Ivy could imagine the scene. The Blackwood Family and Anna didn’t need to thank her too much.
