Chapter 34 Barely Contain
"I beg you... Please don’t remove me from my position. I’ll accept any punishment; I’ll do whatever you ask. Just... Please, don’t remove me from the Western Church," Olena pleaded on her knees.
Aiden looked down, and a mischievous smirk formed on his face. He couldn’t help it; everything went according to plan, and now she was on her knees pleading. He felt a sense of accomplishment, but it wasn’t complete yet.
"Olena, did you say you’ll do anything?" Aiden asked as he stepped back a little and squatted down.
With her head on the ground, Olena nodded immediately. As long as she wasn’t removed as the Head Priestess, she was willing to do anything. Now that there were no more male priests apart from Aiden, she was going to be the actual Head of the Western Church.
With her head still on the ground, Aiden reached down with his hand, held her jaw, and raised her head till she could see his face, and then he asked again.
"Are you sure you’ll do anything to keep your position?"
"Yes...Yes... I’ll do anything," Olena replied without hesitation.
"You’re going to be punished for what you did. I have something in mind, but before that, why don’t you tell me what kind of punishment you think is fitting for what you did?" Aiden asked.
Olena blinked. Aiden was staring directly at her as her mind raced through countless possibilities; the only thing that mattered to her right now was her position.
"I... I deserve to be punished, Your Holiness," she began in a trembling voice. "Whatever punishment you decide, I’ll accept it"
Aiden continued staring at her without responding. She swallowed her saliva and continued.
"Anything you ask of me, I’ll do. I’ll never question your authority as long as I live; I’ll obey any order you give, both inside and outside the church; I’ll handle any church affair you give me, and do it without complaints"
She tightened her hands against the floor, trying to keep herself balanced.
"I’ll report everything that happens in the Western Church directly to you. Every donation, every request, every problem, every appointment... Absolutely nothing will be hidden from you"
Still, Aiden said nothing, not because he didn’t have something to say, but because this was his chance to see how far she was willing to go, and it seemed like she would do anything to keep her position, making Aiden wonder what was so great about it.
Olena, seeing that Aiden still wasn’t pleased, continued speaking, "If it pleases you, I’ll personally brief you on the church duties and help. I’ll explain the affairs of all the churches and the priestesses under our command, and anything else. If nobles are trying to influence the church, I’ll inform you immediately"
"I’ll also assist during any meetings if you wish. I’ve spent years studying the customs and laws. I also know which nobles frequently deal with the church and how they operate. If there’s anything you don’t understand, I’ll explain it should you require"
Olena hesitated before she continued.
"I won’t seek authority again; every decision I take from now on will require your permission, and if I make a mistake, you may discipline me as you see fit... I only ask for one thing..."
Olena’s eyes met Aiden’s, "Please don’t remove me from the Western Church... I’ve devoted years of my life to that church, the priestesses there trust me, and the people know me. I’m a little old to be an adventurer, and if I’m dismissed now, everything I’ve built will disappear"
"I swear, I’ll prove my loyalty through my actions. Just give me one chance, Your Holiness... and I won’t disappoint you again," Olena spoke.
Aiden could understand a little why she wouldn’t want to leave somewhere she devoted her life to, but he wasn’t really going to remove her from the position. Right now, he had her exactly where he wanted; everything she mentioned he was going to make her do, but for now, he was going to stick to his own way.
"I think I can see the repentance in your words, but right now, I need to see it in your actions," Aiden spoke as he released her chin and walked towards the bed.
Aiden sat on the bed, and Olena turned towards him. She had no idea what Aiden was asking of her till he gestured with his hands up.
Olena stood up almost immediately, and a frown appeared on Aiden’s face.
"Who said you could stand? Get on your knees and take off your clothes," Aiden spoke in a hoarse voice.
Olena went back on her knees even before he completed the sentence, and once he did, her jaw dropped; she couldn’t believe what he was asking. At first she thought it was maybe a joke, but Aiden didn’t say another word after that.
"Your Holiness, I don’t understand?"
"I’m not going to repeat myself. Take off your clothes," Aiden said.
Olena swallowed her saliva again; she couldn’t believe this was what he was asking. Aiden was a priest, and not just any priest; he was the Head Priest, but Olena couldn’t disobey him, and slowly her hands moved towards the back of her clothes.
She slowly pulled the strap holding together the dress she had on, and the clothes loosened. Olena had very large breasts, so the straps behind her clothes held it together, and once it was off, the clothes almost came off at once.
