Chapter 105: Class Representative Assessment
"SILENCE!"
With a single roar from Sylas, the entire class fell silent. They all focused on him, even though some were still sneaking glances at Lucien and his wives.
Lucien was also focused, having already warned his wives not to interrupt his learning. He had given up trying to push them away. He couldn’t chase them out of the classroom, nor could he deny the relationship that existed between them.
Since he had decided to accept them, he had accepted all the consequences that came with it.
"Since we are all present, it’s time to rank each one of you in the academy. And the number one will be the class representative of this class." Sylas’s words landed like a bomb, igniting excitement among the students.
They knew what it meant. Each of them came from a unique background, and their talents were at least A-rank or S-rank. This gave them immense pride, pride in their abilities, and they were eager to compare themselves with the other Honor students.
They glanced at each other, sparks of battle flashing in their eyes. And they didn’t forget one of the important targets: Lucien Veyrion.
Now they could see what this young man had that attracted such ladies and why the academy had admitted him.
None of them were dumb. They had noticed Lucien’s absence during the assessment, and they also wondered why he was resuming a week after everyone else.
They hated to admit it, but there had to be a reason why the academy had specially admitted him. And with his handsome face and calm aura, they were eager to see what he could truly do.
Lucien, listening to Sylas, felt their sneaky glances. It was expected that he would be the target of almost everyone, especially the guys, in situations like this.
Ding!
[A mission has been appointed.]
[Come out top as the class representative in this short assessment.]
[Reward: Depends on the efficiency on how you convince other students to accept you as the class representative.]
[Penalty: None.]
Lucien was thinking of how much he would show in this assessment and what was worth becoming the class representative.
But the system mission surprised him, making his lips curl up.
It was different because it didn’t just require him to come out on top, it required him to make the other Honor students believe that he deserved to be at the top.
This meant he needed sufficient strength to convince them, but not just strength alone. He had to be wise in how he applied it.
The mission required tactical thinking.
Ryker leaned toward him, his voice low. "You okay, mentor? You look like you’re thinking hard."
Lucien glanced at him. "I’m fine. Just planning."
Ryker grinned. "Planning to crush everyone?"
Lucien didn’t reply. He just turned his gaze back to the front.
The class representative position wasn’t just about power. It was about perception. About earning respect. He had to make them see him as someone worthy of leading them.
And it wasn’t as easy as it seemed, because they were each geniuses with inborn arrogance. This system mission was a bit troublesome.
He had a lot of feasible options, for example, a bit of cheating by unsealing his charm. But alas, his Yandere wives would just turn everything upside down.
Speaking of them, he glanced at them and saw them smiling at him.
"Darling, don’t expect us to go easy on you. We would love to pamper you, but that old man wouldn’t agree," Seraphina’s voice resounded in his mind.
"But don’t worry, we are only using the strength of Spirit Realm Originators." Seraphina’s soft, mischievous chuckle echoed in his mind.
This was one of the terms they had agreed to when going undercover as students. Normally, they wouldn’t agree to this, but nowadays, they felt their husband was a mystery, and his strength was unknown to them.
This would be an opportunity for them to find out his true capabilities.
Meanwhile, with the little episode between Lucien and his wives, the entire Honor class was buzzing with excitement. One should not forget that they were just fourteen to sixteen-year-old students.
"Ok, ok, does anyone have a question?" Sylas asked the students, his gaze scanning the room.
A student near the front raised his hand. "Instructor, how will the ranking be determined? Will it be purely combat-based, or will there be other factors?"
Sylas nodded. "Good question. The ranking will be determined through a series of assessments over the next few weeks. The ranking will consider combat ability, tactical thinking, and practical application. The assessment will test all of these."
Another student, a girl with sharp eyes, raised her hand. "Will we be competing individually, or will there be team-based challenges?"
"Both," Sylas replied. "The first assessment will be individual. The following ones will test your teamwork and leadership skills."
A boy near the back leaned forward. "What about the class representative? Do they get any special privileges?"
Sylas’s eyes glinted. "The class representative will have authority over the class, access to exclusive resources, and the opportunity to lead during special academy events."
The boy nodded, a spark of ambition in his eyes.
It wasn’t only his, the students immediately understood Sylas’s words as their eyes burned with ambition.
Another student raised her hand, her voice curious. "What about the new students? Will they be ranked alongside us, even though they joined late?"
All eyes turned to Lucien.
Sylas glanced at him, then back at the class. "Yes. They will be ranked alongside all of you. Even though they came late, they are still part of the class. Their performance will determine their position, just like everyone else."
The students exchanged glances. Some looked skeptical. Others looked eager.
Lucien felt their gazes on him again. He didn’t flinch. He just stared ahead, his expression calm.
"Does anyone have any other questions?" Sylas asked again.
But no one asked. They all felt anticipation toward the assessment, each wanting to be class representative.
Even before the assessment, there was already a silent clash.
"Since there are no more questions, let’s start with the individual assessment."
