Still, despite the demand for his commodity, Kaito refuses to meet the demand and just do everyday on minimum quota for each item. In fact, Kaito has very relaxing weeks, full of schedule, playing with the girls or with Est every day.... only occasionally visits his own company. Needless to say, unlike in the base world, Kaito truly handed off all the management to his trusted employee and acted more like a supplier than the CEO of the company.

At the moment, Kaito is on call with Frenda, shocked as she reported the business profit... while he himself is currently watching Aika and Est playing video games, PS3 on TV. "Sakuya!! Frenda and Kaibi wanted to join us for dinner. Is it okay?"

Sakuya's head appeared from the side, "Sure, master! After all, they are working hard for you. But you don't ask other girls here?"

Since Manaka is still not back from work and Misaka is also busy hanging out with her friends, this leaves Aika and Est, who were still in the apartment room, to ask.

"Sure thing~ Est, let's go back to playing. We could finish the stage before dinner!"

"Yes, sister Aika."

Putting his phone on call again, Kaito said to the phone, "You guys can come in again. But I guess it will be slightly cramped if you don't mind."

"Ah, of course! I don't mind, and I don't think Kaibi-san would mind either!" (Frenda)

"Alright, then. It's settled. See ya in the evening."

*BEEP*

Kaito then closed his phone and continued watching Est and Aika with interest. Out of nowhere, Aika suddenly commented, "So, the girls are coming tonight?"

"Yeah... I am sorry." Kaito is scratching his head while apologetic, knowing his behavior is indeed very bad, "It's not like I can avoid them anyway if I want them to work for me in the future."

"Pfft... You sound like a capitalist boss now."

"I wouldn't deny that... and I admit it feels much better than being a worker." Kaito admitted, aware that he literally recruited more than half of the chat group members to work with him, "But it's all for a better future."

"Sure thing. But now we have more 2 guests, are we inviting Touma again for dinner?" Aika suggested.

"Yeah. That poor guy keeps losing his wallet or money every single time. I feel bad for him." Kaito easily agreed.

Besides playing around, these days, Kaito and others have been getting along with Kamijou Touma pretty well to the point that they always invite him for lunch or dinner. Thankfully, no one within the Kaito group hates the unlucky protagonist; in fact, they found it amusing to watch how unfortunate Touma's daily life was, which, in a way much worse than their leader's luck.

"Then, we also invited Misaka and her friend? After all, they were currently hanging out with Ravel."

"Of course," Aika suggested and then yelled to the kitchen, "Sakuya, is it okay to invite more people?"

"It's okay! Though if everyone need specific dish to cook, please tell immediately." Sakuya yelled back.

"We will leave it to you. I believe your cooking won't disappoint us anyway." Kaito answered.

With all the guests pretty much confirmed, Sakuya naturally needs to prepare more and asks Ravel and Est to help with the groceries. While on it, Kaito and Aika then decide to go upstairs, inviting Touma for dinner directly to their apartment.

But to their surprise, when Kaito and Aika go to Touma's room together, they witness the iconic scene where Touma breaks Index's clothes, the Walking Church, which causes a big misunderstanding among them.

Like in the original plot, after Touma broke the Index's protective clothes, he was getting scolded by her, but this time, Aika and Kaito also joined in for fun. Even though the two know the truth, both Kaito and Aika still think this situation was indeed Touma's fault.

Touma obviously already knows how deadly his right hand is, yet he still tested it on Index's clothes!

"I am tempted to call the police on you right now, Touma," Kaito said with a flat tone. Right now, three of them sit on the bed staring at the unlucky protagonist.

Kamijou Touma, the spiky black-haired boy who was procrastinating on the floor, quickly begged, "I am sorry, please don't do that! Mr. Kamijou truly apologized for the mistake he made!"

"You already know how effective your hand is, yet you are still doing it." Aika added while rolling her eyes, "Touma-san, you really have an issue."

"I am so sorry!"

"Anyway, we were here to invite you to have dinner as usual. We actually have a big dinner party tonight." Kaito wryly smiled and then looked at Index with a teasing tone, "But it seems you have a guest, your girlfriend?"

Index, the petite white-haired nun pouted in anger after hearing Kaito comment, "No! My name is Index! and I am not this guy's girlfriend!"

"Yeah! She was falling on my balcony earlier, and I was trying to save this girl!" Touma added, "This girl was very hungry and wanted me to give her some food. And then she was talking about the existence of magic."

Touma then explained how she is very hungry and would be extremely grateful if he could give her some food. Index introduces herself as a nun of Necessarius Church and reveals that she is being pursued by magicians, who she believes were after the grimoires that she has in her mind. At first, Touma is skeptical of the existence of magic, but is quickly convinced of it as he can destroy Index's "Walking Church" using his right hand... which is witnessed by Aika and Kaito at the same time, the moment they open his apartment door.

"Speaking of which, do you really have food to feed her, Touma-san?" Aika asked curiously, "I remember your credit card is still declined..."

"..." Touma scratched his head while looking away shyly, "...Well, I was thinking of asking her to follow me into your room..."

""Pffft!""

Hearing what Touma said, Kaito and Aika laughed together. Having hung around him daily, they know very well how tight and miserable Touma's situation is, yet he still wanted to help others.

"You're lucky then. As we said, we wanted to invite you to have dinner with us so you guys might as well followed to downstair." Aika invited.

"Ah, Mr. Kamijou would be really grateful!" Touma expresses his gratitude immediately. He was very grateful for their dinner invitation recently, which secured his food at night and, more importantly, Touma knew how delicious Sakuya's dishes were, much better than any food he had ever eaten in his entire life.

While Touma easily accepted the invitation, Index, on the other hand, still hesitated... afraid her existence would endanger everyone.

"But, I was being pursued by magicians.... I don't want everyone get into danger because of me." Index weakly rejected the dinner, despite being really hungry.

"Danger? With Kaito here, there would be no danger, I assure you." Aika persuaded her.

"Kaito?" Index raised her eyebrow.

"That's me." Kaito pointed at himself and then asked (pretend), "May I learn who's trying to pursue you?"

"Ah, yeah. Kaito-san is very strong... I heard he can blow up buildings easily! He should be able to help protect you!" Touma added, Remember the glorious identity of his new friend being the number 1 esper in the Academy City.

"I am feeling a bit shy because you guys praise me a bit too much." Kaito wryly smiled, "However, Index-san, with us here, no one will be able to hurt you."

"But... Is it really okay?"

"Of course. I am also feeling that you would get along with my sister, Est." Kaito smiled at her, "She's also white haired girl, albeit 'younger' than you and also a bit more clueless about common sense."

"Pffft." Aika couldn't help but chuckle at Kaito's statement, knowing Est was actually much older than everyone in the apartment.

After that, everyone explained Kaito's identity as the number 1 Esper in the city to Index, alongside his privileged identity having a director girlfriend and owning one of the biggest running businesses in the Academy City. In the end, unlike in the original, Index was convinced that Kaito was 'strong enough' and thus joined the dinner at Kaito's residence tonight.

Now that the index is here, the beginning of the story has officially begun, and everyone in the group intends to change it. After getting along with Touma and befriending him, everyone agrees there is no need to let what happened in the original-- with Index being unnecessarily injured in the process, and Touma getting amnesia out of it.

Later on, Index is also proven to be a good playmate and older sister for Est, adding more reason to protect both protagonists of the world together.
