After Kaito brought Manaka to teleport to Aika's office room at the base, they both immediately saw that many people were waiting for them. In fact, way too many... as Kaito feels the room is cramped!

"Good evening, Kaito. It seems like you're enjoying your time with Manaka~" Aika immediately greeted him in a friendly tone. Still, her eyes were full of hostility, as were Sakuya's and Ravel's eyes too.

Seeing Aika looking at Manaka, who was still pressing her chest to his arm, Kaito could only sigh. Despite having already been warned, Manaka still chose to stick with him, clearly not afraid of provoking all of his 'harem' members in the room.

Suspicious of his findings, Red Archer attempts to attack it with a 'caladbolg', but the creature easily repels his attacks... and forces him to retreat momentarily when the Scorpion tries to strike back with a tentacle imbued with eerie and dangerous curse energy...

Unfortunately, when Archer tries to investigate further about Scorpion, the creature suddenly dives into the ocean and quickly disappears, and even Red Archer can no longer sense its energy whereabouts after it dives down.

Receiving this news, Aika quickly decided to confirm this finding with the chat group system, ignoring the cost. Although it was a bit expensive for her at 30,000 points, Aika managed to get a positive reaction that Est's soul fragment was indeed in Scorpion... and also gained valuable information. This hypothesis could also explain why the tips the system gives them are to follow the world plot, because as long as the protagonist is still alive, the curse attached to their Est soul fragment will appear on its own to hunt the protagonist at some point.

After saying that, Aika quickly flicked her finger to wake them up, as they had been put to sleep by magic. Almost immediately, Hiruko Kagetane and Kohina opened their eyes, albeit feeling a bit drowsy as the effect of sleepiness by magic is a bit too much for a normal human without resistance to supernatural things whatsoever.

"P-Papa? I can't move?! We are getting tied!"

"Calm down, my daughter." Hiruko ordered his daughter calmly and explained, "...We're in a situation where it's impossible to escape, especially since they seem to have supernatural powers."

Since waking up, as an ex-military soldier, Hiruko Kagetane was immediately alert to his surroundings and quickly remembered what had happened before.

Without any notice, the two of them were somehow transported to this room instantly, defeated easily by them, and forced to sleep. Hiruko, who was getting tied by rope, could only look up at him as he couldn't even stand up. "I didn't expect we'd meet again this way... and I am thankful you didn't kill me back then."
