Chapter 63 - Constellation Link
Six pillars of golden light rose into the heavens.
Each beam connected Kai to one of his companions.
Selene.
Ignis.
The Crimson Flame Fox.
Rowan.
Admiral Nereus.
Thalassor.
The golden threads formed an enormous constellation above the Leviathan Sea.
For the first time in ten thousand years...
The power of a Beast Sovereign was no longer carried by one person alone.
---
The Book of Infinite Beasts radiated dazzling light.

Kai felt the presence of every ally.
He could hear Selene's steady breathing.
He sensed Rowan's unwavering resolve.
He felt Ignis's ancient wisdom.
He experienced Thalassor's endless patience.
And through Nereus...
He felt four thousand years of loneliness.
Kai understood.
Every Guardian had carried their burden alone.
Until today.
---
Nereus looked at Kai and smiled faintly.
"So this..."
"...is what trust feels like."
For centuries, he had fought every battle by himself.
Now, strength flowed through him from six others.
His injuries began to heal.
His sapphire trident blazed brighter than ever.
---
The Star Devourer growled beneath the gate.
"Interesting..."
"The insects have learned a new trick."
Its colossal hand pushed harder against the prison.
The Final Chain screamed.
Cracks spread across every glowing link.
---
Krakenoth suddenly roared.
The corrupted Divine Beast turned away from the fleet.
Instead, it wrapped its remaining tentacles around the Star Devourer's gigantic arm.
It pulled with all its strength.
Thalassor gasped.
"Krakenoth..."
"It remembers its duty!"
Even beneath the corruption...
The ancient jailer still fought to keep the prison sealed.
---
The Book updated.

---
Kai smiled.
"We're not too late."
---
The Archivist floated silently above the battlefield.
Its white eyes reflected the golden constellation.
"So..."
"The cycle changes."
For the first time, there was uncertainty in its voice.
---
Suddenly, the sea exploded.
Hundreds of black crystal spears erupted from beneath the waves.
They shot toward Krakenoth.
Toward Thalassor.
Toward Kai's companions.
The Star Devourer was attacking everything that held the prison together.
"Defend the Guardians!" Kai shouted.
Selene moved first.
Her Moonlight Blade became a silver arc, shattering dozens of crystal spears before they could strike.
Rowan and the Ashfang Pack leapt across floating wreckage, rescuing sailors and intercepting attacks.
Ignis soared into the sky.
Golden dragonfire melted the falling crystals before they reached the fleet.
The Crimson Flame Fox unleashed Flame of Hope, cleansing every crystal it touched.
Nereus raised his trident.
"Tidal Crown!"
A ring of sapphire water surrounded the battlefield, deflecting wave after wave of attacks.
For a brief moment...
The constellation held.
---
Then Kai felt something strange.
A pulse.
Not from the Star Fragments.
Not from the Guardians.
From the Book itself.
It was calling to him.
A new page slowly appeared.
Unlike every other page...
This one was handwritten.
The ink shimmered with golden light.
At the bottom was a signature.
—The First Beast Sovereign
Kai's heart raced.
The page had been hidden for ten thousand years.
He read the first line.
«"If you are reading this, then I have already failed."»
The battlefield seemed to fade around him.
The words continued.
«"Do not hate the Archivist."»
Kai's eyes widened.
«"He was my brother."»
The Book trembled.
The constellation flickered.
Across the battlefield, the Archivist slowly lifted its head.
For the first time in millennia...
A single tear of black light rolled down its featureless face.
Far beneath the sea...
The Star Devourer laughed.
"Excellent..."
"Now the final truth begins."
The Final Chain cracked once more.
