God Agent: All Hail The Great Kobold

Chapter 121: Battle Of The New Generation

For a moment, Ka’z was completely stunned by those words. His body remained tense, Ashin Grim still firmly gripped in his hand, but his attention shifted away from the battle around them as he turned fully to give Loki a proper look.

Now that he knew what he was looking for, the resemblance became impossible to ignore. Loki possessed the same slender build as Grash, the same naturally lean frame that made them look less imposing than they actually were. However, there was a clear difference in the way father and son fought.

Grash had been like a moving tank. He was fast, but he rarely bothered dodging. He overwhelmed whatever stood before him, forcing his way through attacks with terrifying strength before tearing through his enemies with brute force. Loki was the exact opposite.

He relied on speed and agility, moving around attacks with remarkable nimbleness and only displaying his full strength in short, decisive bursts meant to deal as much damage as possible before his opponent could react. Their styles were completely different, but Ka’z could not deny the truth anymore. They were both great warriors.

Slowly, Ka’z reached toward his shoulder and pointed at it, an action Loki quickly noticed. The scales there appeared disarranged compared to the rest of his body, which remained neatly layered over his skin. A long scar ran from his shoulder down toward his chest, leaving behind a large patch where the scales had grown unevenly around the old wound.

"The day your father arrived at my home, he killed at least twenty people, and I confronted him," Ka’z said.

Loki’s eyes widened slightly.

"You fought my father?" he asked, genuinely taken aback.

It was not just him. The Mok tribe warriors were equally stunned by the revelation. Ka’z was clearly young, perhaps three years old at best. While the lifespan of a normal kobold was roughly half that of a goblin, that did not make the difference in his age any less shocking. If they judged him according to goblin standards, Ka’z would be around six years old at most, still four years younger than Loki. Fighting Grash at such an age and surviving was already difficult to believe.

"I blocked him twice. He cut me down on the third, and then he went ahead and killed someone I truly admired," Ka’z said as his eyes glowed brighter. His fingers tightened around the handle of Ashin Grim. "We lost good people because of your kind."

The blood around the wound on his waist suddenly began bubbling. Steam rose from the injury, and before everyone’s eyes, the torn flesh pulled itself together. The bleeding slowed almost instantly before the wound sealed completely, leaving behind only clotted blood that fell from his body.

Loki and the Mok tribe warriors immediately recognized the technique. It was the blood magic spell known as Regeneration, and Ka’z had activated it as casually as though it cost him nothing. That alone was enough to silence the doubts forming in their minds.

Rudor had been the pride of the Ashmork clan, and his mastery of Blood Regeneration was one of the reasons he had earned the title of the strongest blood shaman in the village.

They had initially been prepared to call Ka’z a liar for claiming he survived two direct exchanges with Grash, but the sight before them forced them to reconsider. This kobold was clearly not ordinary.

"You people killed five of ours," Loki retorted, his grip tightening around his spear.

"WHO RAPED AND KILLED SU’KI?!" Ka’z growled back, his voice exploding with so much rage that even the Mok tribe warriors flinched.

His eyes burned crimson as he stepped forward. "You nasty swines raped and killed a young, defenseless girl and then had the guts to demand female slaves. This war was started by your people, and I am here to finish it," Ka’z hissed, deep hatred boiling behind every word.

Loki frowned. The emotions behind Ka’z’s voice were too raw to be faked. He could tell the kobold was telling the truth, and for the first time since arriving at the burned farmland, a trace of uncertainty appeared in his eyes. However, it did not change anything. Too much blood had already been spilled. Both sides had lost too many people to simply stop fighting and pretend the past had never happened. With the casualties they had taken, there was no longer a road back to peace. This war could only end when one side was completely crushed.

"It’s unfortunate, but none of that matters now," Loki said as he raised his spear to the side. The blade turned blue as lightning began buzzing violently around it.

Ka’z nodded in agreement. He crouched slightly and raised Ashin Grim over his head. The battle ax began glowing as well, blue lightning gathering around its blade and crawling across the weapon.

"Lightning Magic: Lightning Cutter," they both muttered as their legs pressed firmly into the ground.

Everyone drew a deep breath and fell silent. Even the Mok tribe warriors understood that what was about to happen was no longer an ordinary exchange. Two of the most dangerous warriors among their generation stood facing each other, and neither seemed willing to retreat.

Swoosh!

Loki burst forward first. His spear shot toward Ka’z with a lightning-covered thrust aimed directly at his chest, but to everyone’s surprise, Ka’z suddenly shot to the left.

Swish!

In a moment, he was airborne with his battle ax raised above his head. His shadow loomed over one of the Mok tribe warriors, who had not even realized Ka’z had changed targets. The goblin was still looking toward the place where Ka’z had originally stood, completely caught off guard by the sudden shift in his attention.

Pfft!

Right before everyone’s eyes, the Mok warrior was split in two by a single slash. His body separated in a gory mess, falling to opposite sides as blood sprayed across the ground.

"Dishonorable!" Loki growled as he immediately charged toward Ka’z.

Ka’z looked over his shoulder, and a mocking gleam appeared in his eyes. "Dishonor? Who the fuck are you to talk about honor?!" he hissed with murderous intent.

Swoosh!

Three thin beams of blood suddenly jetted from the fresh corpses toward Loki like arrows, cutting through the air with enough speed to make his eyes widen.

Bam!

He immediately changed his footwork and exploded to the side, narrowly avoiding the attacks. However, the abrupt change in direction disrupted his balance. The moment his feet touched the ground, his footing slipped beneath him. Loki crashed down and rolled several times before landing on all fours, his fingers and toes digging violently into the earth as he skidded to the right and finally forced himself to a stop.

Meanwhile, four Mok tribe warriors charged toward Ka’z while the remaining five raced up the slope toward the kobold warriors hiding above them. Ka’z glanced toward his team, and his eyes narrowed. The way the goblins had reacted to the earlier arrow barrage proved how skilled they were. They had deflected most of the surprise attacks and suffered almost no serious injuries.

Ka’z’s own team was not made up of warriors with the same level of experience. Drak and Gruk were the only two among them who had truly seen enough combat to remain calm in such a situation. The others had fought before, but not against enemies like these. Unfortunately, Ka’z was too occupied to help them.

He knew the moment he turned his back on Loki, he could die.

"Defend yourselves!" Ka’z roared toward his team as he raised his battle ax. Fresh blood flowed from the corpse behind him, soaking into the ground beneath his feet.

Swoosh!

Ka’z swung toward one of the approaching goblins, unleashing an arc of high speed blood. The goblin raised his spear to block the attack, but the blood arc sliced straight through the wooden shaft and continued forward. It smashed into his chest, knocking him off his feet while cutting deeply into his body. Blood squirted from the wound as his dying cry rang across the battlefield.

The death of their companion did not discourage the remaining three. They had already closed the distance, and all of them attacked from different angles with their spears thrust forward.

To their surprise, Ka’z did not dodge.

Instead, he grabbed Ashin Grim with both hands positioned near the end of the hilt and swung. The weight of the massive battle ax dragged his entire body into a deadly spin. The goblins’ eyes dilated as they recognized the movement.

For a brief moment, Grash’s figure seemed to overlap Ka’z’s.

"Impossible!" one of them gasped at the last moment, but it was already too late.

"Vael Mael!!!!!"

Ka’z’s roar shook the battlefield as a fierce hurricane exploded outward from his spinning figure. The force erupted like an explosion, violently throwing all three Mok tribe warriors backward. Their bodies were blasted through the air, but none of them remained whole. Each had been severed around the waist by the violent force of Ka’z’s attack, and their upper bodies crashed into the ground separately from the rest of them.

Loki had only just stopped his abrupt retreat when pieces of flesh and severed limbs flew past him. Some passed only inches from his body, forcing him to instinctively step back as his eyes widened in disbelief.

"He... He can use the power... the power of words..." he stuttered, genuine shock written all over his face.

The language of dragons had always been one of the Ashmork clan’s greatest advantages over the other races of the Evergreen Forest. To see someone as young as Ka’z using it so naturally, Loki immediately assumed that such knowledge must be common among the Vaal’kor kobolds.

His eyes slowly shifted toward the corpses scattered around Ka’z, and for the first time, the full weight of what had happened to Grash truly settled inside him.

"Could... Could this be why Father lost?" Loki mumbled, his voice shaken by disbelief and shock.

Not only did Ka’z use the power of words, he also successfully replicated Grash’s technique perfectly without a flaw and this has been his life goal yet he has never been met with any success.

The world of power is not something just anyone can learn. It would take atleast a month, if not years to truly master one of these words. And this was time that can be used to train his fighting style or mana burst.

Only now did he realize Ka’z was on a league of his own.
