Chapter 50: A Night To Remember [+18]
Ka’z pressed his lips against Za’r’s as they both shut their eyes. Their tongues infiltrated each other’s mouths, tangling together in a slow, searching heat that left little room for breath.
Her body collapsed under his weight as they fell back onto the haystack bed and Ka’z laid above her, the dry stalks shifting and crackling beneath them while the scent of old grass and warm skin filled the narrow space.
They kissed for a while longer, mouths moving in deepening rhythm, before they shifted to lie side by side, still pressed close, still trading soft wet kisses that grew hungrier with each pass of tongue and lip.
Ka’z’s hand shuffled across the softer surface of her body, gently grasping one soft breast and fondling it with careful pressure, thumb circling the nipple until it tightened under his touch.
Za’r moaned lightly against his mouth, her own hand running across the gaps between Ka’z’s scales, fingertips tracing the cooler ridges before sliding to the softer part of his belly.
From there she moved lower still, slow and deliberate, until her fingers closed around his dick and began to rub the tip already coated with pre-cum. The slick heat of it made her palm glide easier as she worked him in steady strokes.
Ka’z shuddered under her touch and broke away from the kiss, gasping and moaning at the same time, hips twitching forward into her grip.
"Does it feel good?" she asked as her hand moved up and down, thumb sweeping over the wet head on every upward pass.
Ka’z tried to speak but a moan escaped his lips instead and he leaned in, hugging her tight so that their chests pressed flush. He bit her neck then, teeth scraping just hard enough to make Za’r let out a loud gasp.
She felt her pussy grow warm and moist in answer, the ache between her legs sharpening until she could no longer ignore it. She pulled Ka’z’s cock in between her legs and allowed it to rub against her soaked folds, the thick length sliding through her wetness with every small shift of their bodies.
Slowly they began moving their waists while hugging each other tight, letting out muffled moans into one another’s shoulders. They buried their heads against each other as their hips found a shared rhythm, grinding with growing urgency.
Their muscles worked harder, breaths turning short and shared, the haystack complaining softly under the push and pull of their joined motion.
"I love you,"
She gasped into his ear, the words breaking on a tremor as another roll of her hips dragged him fully through her wet heat.
"I love you too,"
Ka’z moaned louder, arms locking around her back, scales pressing cool against her warmer skin while he thrust in short, desperate strokes that kept them locked together.
Several minutes in their muscles tightened as they both clung tighter still, bodies shaking lightly through the shared peak.
They shook for several seconds, pulses of release rolling through them in overlapping waves, before the tension finally eased and they stopped, breathing heavy and strained against each other’s necks.
The two pulled apart just enough to see each other’s faces, and shy smiles tugged at the edges of their lips.
"That felt good..." Za’r mumbled with a red face, voice soft and a little hoarse, and Ka’z nodded as well, still catching his breath.
They stared at each other without speaking for a few seconds, the quiet filled only by the slowing of their hearts and the faint rustle of settling hay. Then Za’r leaned in and hugged him, pressing her face against his chest where the scales gave way to smoother skin.
Ka’z embraced her tightly and smiled, the expression lingering even as he leaned down to kiss her forehead before shutting his eyes.
Together in each other’s arms they slept, limbs tangled, the warmth of their bodies holding off the cooler air that drifted through the space around the haystack.
For what felt like only a brief moment, the world remained quiet and he slept like a child. Eventually, his eyelids fluttered and a quiet yawn escaped his lips as consciousness slowly returned.
For several seconds he simply remained still, allowing his blurry vision to clear.
The first thing that came into focus was Za’r.
She slept peacefully against his chest with one hand loosely clutching his body as though afraid he might disappear if she let go. Her breathing remained soft and steady while a few loose strands of black hair rested across her face.
Even in sleep, the exhaustion from the previous days was obvious. The dark circles beneath her eyes had yet to completely fade, yet compared to yesterday, she looked infinitely more peaceful.
Ka’z couldn’t help smiling.
Very carefully, he brushed the stray strands of hair away from her face without waking her.
"...Maybe this world isn’t so bad after all."
The thought appeared naturally inside his mind. Back on Earth he had died alone. No one realized he was gone until more than forty-eight hours later, despite living beneath the same roof as his own parents.
That lonely ending perfectly reflected the kind of life he had lived.
Here everything was different. People worried when he got hurt and friends laughed beside him.
An entire colony celebrated his victories and mourned his injuries. Even someone like Za’r willingly chose to shoulder his burdens alongside him.
Strangely enough the little over two years he had spent living as Ka’z felt more genuine than the twenty years he remembered as a human.
He had finally found something worth protecting.
"...Maybe.I really can build something here."
There was no point dwelling on Earth anymore. Those memories belonged to someone who no longer existed.
Everything that mattered was here.
Taking great care not to disturb Za’r, Ka’z slowly loosened her grip from around his body before gently lowering her hand onto the blanket. She shifted slightly in her sleep and let out a faint, sleepy groan that made him freeze in place. After a few anxious seconds, she simply rolled over and continued sleeping soundly.
Only then did he quietly rise from the haystack bed. Walking toward the corner of the room, he picked up Shiki before quietly making his way to the door.
One last glance fell upon Za’r and a faint smile lingered on his face.
He slipped outside before carefully closing the wooden door behind him, making sure not to produce the slightest unnecessary sound.
Buzz!
The moment the door shut, every scale across Ka’z’s body stood on end and a violent shiver rushed down his spine.
For the briefest instant, it felt as though someone was watching him.
The sensation was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. It felt as though a pair of gray eyes had opened somewhere within the endless darkness behind him.
Ka’z spun around instinctively and his draconic eyes flashed golden. But the dim tunnel lay completely empty. Only flickering torchlight illuminated the rough stone walls stretching endlessly into darkness.
Ka’z remained standing there for several more seconds, carefully scanning every corner of the tunnel before finally lowering his guard.
"...Strange."
He muttered quietly before continuing deeper into the colony.
...
Far beneath Vaal’kor, within the hidden chamber concealed beneath countless layers of stone...
Kong’gong covered one of his blind gray eyes with his hand and a rare frown appeared across his usually gentle face.
"He noticed?"
His breathing unconsciously slowed.
"Impossible..."
He had watched Ka’z countless times through that invisible awareness. Never once even by accident had the child reacted.
So why now?
His thoughts drifted toward the haystack bed resting quietly against the wall.
Kurg remained fast asleep, curled beneath a blanket with one arm wrapped around it as though hugging an oversized pillow. Gentle snores escaped him every few seconds, completely unaware of the silent exchange that had just taken place.
Kong’gong slowly lowered his hand.
Buzz!
Without warning a powerful chill swept through the hidden chamber. Kong’gong’s body stiffened. The blind guardian calmly turned his head toward the empty darkness behind him, It was as though a pair of brilliant golden eyes had opened somewhere within the endless darkness surrounding him.
It stared at him briefly then disappeared.
Silence reclaimed the chamber and Kong’gong remained motionless. For the first time in many years, the strongest guardian of Vaal’kor genuinely felt shaken.
"...That child... he found me."
He whispered softly, genuine disbelief creeping into his usually calm voice.
