The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride

Chapter 352: Wanted to see you dead

Venus stormed out of the bar, but she came to an abrupt halt when Odin suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking her path. He stood there, arching an eyebrow as his eyes fell on the basket she still clutched tightly in her hands.

"Isn’t this for me?" Odin asked, his tone was calm but curious.

"No!" Venus snapped, her voice sharp with lingering anger. She pushed past him, trying to brush off his question. "Now, get out of my way."

But Odin didn’t move. Instead, a small, amused smile played on his lips. "So, you entered the forbidden territory for no reason?" he mused. He then chuckled softly, as if the situation was more entertaining to him than it should have been.

Venus’s eyes narrowed in frustration. "It wasn’t for no reason," she retorted, trying to maintain her dignity. But the humiliation she faced inside was something that infuriated her more.

Odin’s chuckle faded, and he studied her with a more serious expression, sensing the deeper emotions behind her sharp words. "You knew the risk, yet you came here anyway," he said softly. "Why?"

"You tell me first," she demanded, her voice trembling with the intensity of her anger and hurt. "Why didn’t you help me inside? Did you enjoy the show?" Her chest heaved with each breath, and her eyes glistened with unshed tears, on the verge of spilling over.

Odin’s expression remained impassive, his gaze steady as he met her accusing eyes. "Well, I don’t help foolish humans," he replied coldly, his voice devoid of empathy. He reached out to take the basket from her, his hand closing around its wooden handle.

But before he could pull it away, Venus slapped the back of his hand with a sharp, angry motion. "Did you just call me foolish?" she demanded, her voice cracking as she sought an answer. The sting of his remark cut deep, reopening the wounds of her earlier humiliation.
