The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride

Chapter 212: To quieten our son

"Magnus, eat more. I’ve heard that you hardly take your lunch or dinner meals. I know blood suffices your entire body’s needs, but this food is of your choice, cooked according to your body requirements," Margaret said as she scolded him for always neglecting his meals.

"Mother forgot that I’ve been like this for years. This sudden concern isn’t something Mother should show now. What happened yesterday won’t be repeated again," Magnus proclaimed with assurance.

"Seems like Magnus won’t listen to us, Dear," Esmond stated, glancing at her. "Perhaps if Alora were to persuade him, he might be more inclined to listen," he suggested, hoping to find a solution.

"Alora is well aware of my dietary preferences. She understands that I find sustenance in blood, not in meals," Magnus clarified. He dabbed the napkin across his mouth, bringing a sudden awkward silence on the table.

"Brother Magnus doesn’t understand that we all were worried to death for him," Lillian spoke. "If the Head Witch didn’t arrive at time, he could have lost his life. What we all want is Brother Magnus to be healthy," she stated, her eyes reflecting that concern.

"Well, that didn’t happen. So, let’s not ruin the mood by thinking about it. Here I am, in your presence, healthier and stronger than before," Magnus replied, directing a smile at them.

"Alora, do you feel guilty for showing your kindness on a wrong person?" Lillian questioned, bringing a frown on Magnus’s forehead.

"Lily, let’s not fight over for something which was out of our control," Izaak intervened finally.

"You need to understand, Lily, where to open your mouth," Magnus sternly told her.
