Chapter 164: Unable to resist his touch
Alora gazed at the towering shelf in the Council’s library, her curiosity piqued by the prospect of ancient knowledge. She approached the librarian, inquiring about the availability of millennia-old books.
"Your Highness, give me some time to search for them. They have not been read by anyone in such a long time," the Head Librarian replied respectfully.
"Okay. You can send them to the palace if I leave early," Alora instructed in her humble tone. She wanted to delve into the ancient books, pondering she might find something useful about her eyes. Since she now knew how to read, she could make good use of it.
Exiting the library, Alora made her way to the office room. However, in the midway, she encountered five female vampires, who worked for the vampire academy. All were dressed in white outfits with golden embroidery on their borders. They bowed to Alora, greeting her with humbleness.
"Do you have a few minutes to spare to me?" Alora inquired. "I am curious to know what kind of work all of you do," she stated, smiling at them.
"Your Highness, we are the non-teaching staff in the academy. Why don’t you visit it someday? The visit to the academy may give you a better perspective of the work culture there," the first one answered and gave her a suggestion as well.
"That’s a wonderful idea," Alora liked her suggestion.
"We are glad that Her Highness liked our suggestion," the second one replied. They took their leave as they needed to report to the Chancellor. Alora gave them the way and returned to her workplace.
"Alora, where have you gone?" Magnus asked as he looked worried.
