The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride

Chapter 162: It will be closed

"Pardon me?" The owner’s voice trembled with fear as he begged forgiveness for the mistake he was unaware of.

Griffin intervened, reassuring the Princes that he would handle the situation. The events unfolded so rapidly that the occupants of the grand hall struggled to comprehend the whirlwind of events unfolding before them.

The female humans were ushered to safety on the second floor by the female vampires whom Griffin had brought along with him.

"Take her upstairs," Izaak directed the guardian, his eyes fixed on the young woman seeking refuge behind him.

Nikitin approached the princes, asking them what they were doing.

"Doing what you couldn’t do, Nikitin. The Elder’s second son is a part of this association. What could be more surprising for us!" Magnus taunted him.

"What’s the issue, Your Highness? This has been happening for years," Nikitin countered, adding, "three years," for emphasis.

Magnus gazed at his elder brother, wondering if he had no knowledge of it.

"And now, it will be closed. All of you should report to me in the Council yesterday. I also need the details of the female humans who were bought as slaves and traded for wrong practices," Izaak instructed, looking at the nobles present in the hall.

"Nikitin, prepare to give an account of the practices conducted here," Magnus declared, a smirk playing on his lips.

"All the nobles gathered here have disappointed me. I never imagined you would exploit humans in this manner," Izaak pronounced, a hint of dismay evident in his tone. "Let’s go back, Magnus. Rest of the proceedings will happen tomorrow in the morning," he proclaimed. He pivoted on his boots with Magnus and the two brothers headed back to the palace in the rainy night.
