The vampires who went berserk had even injured some vampire guardians, who tried stopping them. Izaak had taken the lead in handling the matter as Alaric and Magnus joined him. The other stronger vampires too helped them.
King Esmond frowned to see the out-of-controlled vampires. He never witnessed such a sight in such a long time. The last time it happened was during a war. What was exactly happening?
Magnus had already made some of them calm while Izaak and Alaric knocked them down.
"Your Majesty, what’s all this happening? It seems our own kind want to kill us," Queen Margaret whispered near his ear, seeing the unpleasant scene before her.
Alora arrived with Griffin, her gaze fixed on the ground. Her heart raced as she observed the vampires’ swift movements, finding it challenging to keep up with the scene.
"Magnus! Watch your back!" Alora exclaimed in concern, her voice carrying louder than intended, drawing the attention of those around her.
As the eyes turned towards her, Alora felt a wave of self-consciousness wash over her.
"Alora, you must leave," King Esmond instructed, signaling to his Queen to escort her away. He feared that a human would be a vulnerable target amidst the chaos.
, a berserk vampire charged toward Alora. Instinctively, she met its gaze, her body tensed up in the process as she realized the vampire would now burn alive upon making eye contact. Clutching her gown tightly, she braced herself for the imminent confrontation.
"Alora!" Magnus shouted from the other side, pushing away the vampire from his sight to run to his wife.
Alora’s eyes blazed with bright gold, emitting a dazzling glare that momentarily blinded those nearby, causing them to stagger in disorientation.
