Chapter 125: A wailing and a agitated woman
Venus placed her hand on her cheek as her eyes remained low.
"You should have thought about Mother before scheming against me. I understand you hate me, you hate the fact that I am living a good life and having a loving husband," Alora pronounced, her frustration evident in her voice.
"Don’t deny that. You think I’m naive, who doesn’t understand people. You were supposed to carry good traits. You weren’t supposed to be like our grandmother. How could you become so evil?" She questioned with disappointment.
Venus kept sobbing, didn’t know what to say anymore. She had destroyed her own life and whatever Alora said about her was absolutely right. This time she didn’t even beg her or faked forgiveness.
"Can I even trust you, Venus? I have no answer for it. I don’t know whom to believe and whom not to. You broke my trust not once but many times. If you couldn’t become a good sister, you should have at least been a good daughter. Our mother would not have to keep her head low in shame," Alora admonished her.
Venus knew it was an end for her. She was definitely wrong this time. For it, she didn’t ask Alora to let her go for the last time. Because now Venus felt that she couldn’t live anymore. She was ready to accept the punishment coming on her way.
Alora walked out of the prison, Magnus trailing behind her. The heavy door closed, leaving Venus once again confined within the dark walls.
Alora covered her eyes with her hands, tears streaming down her face. Magnus gently rested his hand on her shoulder, offering silent support as she allowed herself to release her pent-up emotions.
After some time, when Alora felt better, she told Magnus she needed to see Eugene’s mate, Zinnia.
