Chapter 106: Alora needs me
The next morning, Alora was too lazy to get out of bed while Magnus was still asleep. She pulled out her notebook from inside the drawer along with other items. Instead of writing, she started drawing– The Sleeping Magnus.
Half an hour later when she finished, she let it dry for some time. Suddenly, she felt pain in her lower abdominal region, which reminded her of her monthly cycle. She quickly jumped out of the bed and ran to the washroom.
Hearing the thud of the door closing, Magnus’s sleep broke abruptly. Blinking groggily, he realized Alora was nowhere to be seen, but instead, he found a notebook, an inkpot, and a pen left behind.
He sat up on the bed and picked up the notebook. A few of its pages were filled, making him realize that Alora started it recently. "Is it her personal journal?" Magnus mumbled. Though he didn’t wish to read it, he couldn’t end his curiosity about what was inside it.
Magnus opened the first page and found it she started it the day she shed wearing the blindfold. She had written in broken sentences, which made Magnus smile. Though she had written less, he could feel the intensity of her emotions. As he flipped more pages, he saw his drawings on it.
Magnus came across his drawing figure beside which Alora had written– "Alora Loves Magnus." A smile was carved on his lips to read it. After some time, he placed it in its place, waiting for Alora to come out of the washroom.
As Magnus lay on the mattress, he recalled that he had yet to give her a surprise soon. A week was going to pass soon, then one more week would remain.
Magnus closed his momentarily when Alora finally emerged in the room. He found she looked low in energy in the morning, which was unusual for her character.
"Good morning, Love," Magnus greeted her.
Alora came to him and sat beside him. She rested her head on his shoulder and wrapped her hand around him. "Good morning," she returned the greeting.
Magnus sensed something was off with her. His hand moved to the top of her head as he caressed it. "Is everything fine?" he asked.
