Chapter 359: Meeting
Tobirama sat on the edge of the fountain, watching the backs of his brother and the princess of the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon as they left to continue their tour of the city.
He preferred to sit here and think after their conversation, asking them to continue their tour without him because he needed a moment of quiet to organize his thoughts, analyze what he had heard, and make new plans.
“What a frustrating situation.”
He muttered quietly, his tone carrying a hint of frustration and bitterness. He felt that he might be too weak to achieve what he had come here for, and that every path seemed to be blocked before him.
“What’s wrong, child? Why do you look like an old man?”
Tobirama quickly turned toward the side and saw a young man with long blue hair tied into a ponytail, handsome and youthful features, and bright blue eyes that radiated intelligence and calmness.
He wanted to respond and ask why someone who seemed younger than him was calling him a child, but he quickly remembered some secret information he had read in his clan’s archives describing the Ayato family and even the mysterious clan known as the Ryukoga.
So he swallowed what he wanted to say and remained silent, merely looking at the young man before him with eyes carrying a mixture of caution and curiosity.
Dan, who very rarely went out himself to walk around the world because of his busy schedule, and also because he needed to suppress his power tremendously for ordinary human eyes and minds to endure his presence without harm, approached and sat near Tobirama, whose expression had become serious as he tried to determine who the person sitting before him was.
“Relax a little, child. My visit is nothing more than curiosity.”
Dan said in a youthful voice as he smiled, trying to ease the tension.
In truth, the reason Dan had come out himself was simply to fulfill an old desire to meet Tobirama, the genius whose mind would be the source of most of the powerful techniques that would influence the future of this world.
Tobirama would invent great techniques, such as the teleportation technique, the technique for reviving the dead, and other techniques that would change the course of history. Dan wanted to see this mind for himself. Tobirama was not merely a fighter, but a genius, inventor, and thinker.
“I know you’re wondering who I am, and that you’re trying to connect the pieces and come up with possibilities, but there’s no need to worry. I’m not an enemy. All I want is to talk with you for a little while.”
Tobirama looked at Dan, his expression still serious. At the same time, his instincts told him that this person was not merely an ordinary young man, but perhaps an ancient being. He said cautiously:
“I am nothing more than a shinobi from a small clan. There is nothing special about me.”
Dan smiled and said:
“That is exactly what makes me interested in you. You don’t know your own value. Perhaps one day, you will become one of the greatest minds in the history of this world.”
