Longevity in Naruto

Chapter 354: Princess

“What do you think? Should I take you two on a tour around the city?”

The young woman said with a warm smile, directing her words toward the two young men before her, although it seemed that she was focusing only on Hashirama.

He quickly responded, his eyes shining with childish excitement because he had finally found someone who would get him away from his brother’s restrictions. He said in a voice full of enthusiasm:

“Really? You’ll do that? That’s great! I’ve been wishing to explore this city ever since I saw it. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’m sure there are many wonderful things we haven’t seen yet.”

Before he could finish speaking, he felt a sharp pain in his side from a light but painful strike with Tobirama’s elbow, as his younger brother tried to make him be quiet.

“Actually, we have an appointment at the palace, so we don’t have time to go sightseeing. We apologize for declining your kind invitation, and we thank you for your kindness.”

Tobirama said respectfully to the girl before him, who seemed to resemble this foolish elder brother in her personality, at least in his eyes. Therefore, he tried to remain polite and clear in his refusal because he did not want to get involved with someone whose background was as mysterious as hers.

The girl quickly replied, as if she had expected this refusal, while her smile remained fixed on her face. She said calmly:

“If that is the problem, then I can solve it. Don’t worry, you won’t be late for your appointment. I’ll take care of it.”

Before Tobirama could respond, she raised her hand in a signal, and from among the shadows emerged a black, masked figure. It approached the girl and bowed respectfully to her.

“Tell my elder brother about this, and tell him that our guests will be a little late because I’m going to take them on a tour around the city.”

The bowing figure nodded in response to her order, then quickly disappeared from its place.

As for Tobirama, his expression became even more serious. First, he had not been able to sense the person who had emerged from the shadows at all. This meant that the person was either highly skilled at concealing their presence or was stronger than him, and that irritated him.

He considered himself one of the best sensory ninja in his clan, and the second thing was that he understood that the beautiful girl standing before him was not an ordinary person. She had to be extremely important and possess enough authority and influence to the point that she could postpone a meeting with the king.

As for Hashirama, although he noticed what had happened, he did not spend much time thinking about it. Instead, he returned to smiling happily at the opportunity to explore the city freely and experience this enormous place whose beauty had captivated him. He said in a voice full of joy:

“So we won’t be late? That’s great! Let’s go. I want to see everything, from the markets to the gardens. I don’t want to miss anything.”

The girl then turned toward Tobirama, as if she had noticed his concern, and said with a beautiful, sunny smile:

“Don’t worry. My elder brother will wait, and he won’t dare to bother you two. I know him very well. He always listens to me, and he won’t object to anything I do, so there’s no need to worry.”

But she noticed that Tobirama’s expression had barely changed, and that he was still tense and analyzing the situation. So she continued, trying to explain things to him:

“What I mean is that my brother is the king you two want to meet, and I am the princess of the Kingdom of the Blue Dragon, Mina Ayato. So don’t worry. I won’t put you in an embarrassing situation.”

She said as she slightly bowed, holding the sides of her long dress as part of proper etiquette. Her words were enough to shock Tobirama, because the girl standing before him was the princess of the kingdom.

She might even be the means of communication between them and the king, so he decided that he had to be careful when dealing with her. At the same time, he felt somewhat relieved because she seemed sincere, and her personality resembled that of his elder brother.
