"Are you paying attention Yu- This is our Captain. The real him he doesn't show anyone else" I lean on the rails, taking in every detail.

I merely saw through the gap in the curtains... but Ken is seeing the Emperor unveiled right now- I wonder what it feels like, what it looks like... what thoughts are running through the Hyuga's head.

"How" Yu drops his jaw, unable to pick it up again.

"Sharpness. That is something that comes naturally to him... he is merely cutting through the rotating chakra, a sharp edge splitting the storm" I stare at the scene before us.

"That's beyond... the amount of chakra you would need to split the..." Yu is lost for words.

"Why would he need a mass of chakra? With the smallest drop of chakra he can sharpen himself greater than any jutsu..." I whisper to myself.

His body has been reshaped for sharpness... I knew it- he never said anything, but I knew it- when I talked to him some time ago about replicating the abilities of Aura he shrugged it off- but he can, he can imbue his body with sharpness the same way he did in his world.

And it barely even mimics the tales he was telling me...

The swirling mass of Chakra stops... as the Elder Hyuga takes a breath and watches the limping Uchiha stumble forward- arm outstretched and hand ready to carve.

*BAM!*

A vacuum palm is sent towards Captain. But like before he splits the attack in two.

The wall shakes as the palm attack hits the arena instead of the Uchiha.

"How does he have the chakra reserves to keep cutting through... he isn't particularly blessed in that area" Yu looks at Takumi with immense shock.

"Two reasons. When it comes to sharpening himself... he is immensely efficient" I state.

"And the other..?" Yu refuses to look away from the Captains figure.

"Where else did he spend chakra today? This week? This month? He barely uses it... he didn't even use it until that lung strike..." I add.

Yu goes silent as Captain limps closer. Ken takes a step back, giving himself distance.

"How could he possibly win this..? Ken can just wait him out" A voice above in the stadium rings out.

"He is right Takumi! STAND DOWN- you have no power here! I am clearly the winner!" Ken shouts as he steps back again.

The elder is angry... due to fear. Is it weird that I want to feel that fear, just to see the man beneath the sleeping beast once more?

"Watch me" Takumi spits blood onto the dirt.

"W-What?" Ken stutters and takes a few more steps back.

"Watch me" Takumi leaks his bloodlust for the entire stadium to wince at- for just a single moment... many shinobi and kunoichi reaching for their weapons as if encountering death itself, instinctively protecting themselves against a danger they did not know existed- The Emperor himself.

Yes- YES- That's him! I can feel it!~

The man I aspire to be- a man who commands the room with a few words, who does what is right even if everyone else is content with the 'necessary evil' because it is tradition! The man who usurps the status quo and flips it on the head. My Master- Takumi Uchiha, The Emperor of Blades!

Pov: Danzo Shimura.

Ah.

We cannot control that child. Call it Talent, genius or perhaps a secret hobby as a serial killer... it changes nothing- No one can shape someone who has such a defined will, such defined bloodlust. Unless... No. I am no fool, I will not pursue him for the Root- just like before he shines too bright to work in the dark, even if he performs so efficiently and coldly.

"Impressive. I wonder, is that Bloodlust natural? Did he become the 'Lazy Uchiha' to supress it?" Hiruzen asks.

"It makes sense, why he performs so well on assassinations despite the lack of will to actually go on the missions themselves" I reply.

"Would it be dangerous to touch this particular can of worms? What if he defects like he has threatened to do before..." Hiruzen mumbles to himself.

He is still thinking on how to recruit him as a full time shinobi- I do not blame him, he is as talented as the fourth Hokage... no- possibly more talented than even the fourth considering the lack of motivation.

Pov: Shikaku Nara.

Oh. I see.

Is this what you saw Minato? Or was it something else? I doubt he would have been so excited for this... bloodlust. No wonder Ken has been on edge this entire fight, drowned in such cold rage.

If this is an unlazy Takumi, I am completely fine with him sleeping all day. I do not want to see what he is like when he is beyond anger- beyond thought, beyond talking and beyond playing with his prey.

Or maybe... it is the Laziness that Minato saw greatness in.

The Shinobi not hellbent on murdering the enemies of the leaf... but rather raising it's protectors- shinobi who think before they act, who choose the 'laziest' path- where talking is easy and actions are annoying. Is that it? A lazy genius?

No- He did not show this to Minato, he would not have reacted like that if Takumi showed him this...

To not only have this bloodlust- but control it too? Specifically on one target- letting it leak when he wants... I would have thought him a mass murderer- no, something worse... a man atop a literal mountain of corpses would leak weaker bloodlust. What is this child? How did he get so much blood on his hands? What is he hiding?

I don't really like doing this mission but it is fun to catch up with what Takumi is up to- not as boring as my other classmates and their lives, plus Hikari had a crush on Takumi for a while in the Academy so it is fun to tease her with what Takumi is doing currently, bet she regrets that crush now~... '... She did not return. nor run. The root agent we assigned to watch her instead spectated Takumi Uchiha burning her corpse and spreading her ashes... as if practiced, Hiruzen. As if he had burned hundreds of bodies before... do you not see why I needed to take such drastic decisions? We learnt something else about the boy, it took him an afternoon to learn disposal methods that take my root agents days to master. If he ever learns how to see the ninja hiding from him we will never grasp who he can truly be, hiding away that talent as masterfully as he burnt that corpse...' - Elder Danzo.

Huh.

The dots start connecting in my head- a few working theories rattle around my skull and the ripples of those theories harmonize with my mind- forcing me to confirm them in some manner.

Is Takumi Uchiha, really Takumi Uchiha?

*Swish*

A covert sign, I call for an Anbu gather at my side.

"Sir? I am meant to be monitoring Lord Third." He flickers behind me, sticking to the shadows.

"Good. Then your team would have someone talented in sensory arts, I need you to scan Takumi for seals or foreign chakra" I command.

He flickers away and I wait until he returns.

"Sir. We found a seal on him, unsure of it's nature from this distance- we would need to get closer to find out more" He states.

"Where is it located- any additional information from this range?" I ask.

"His head and heart, or somewhere close to his chest- perhaps his lungs as an alternative. It is old, he has had it for a minimum of one year if his chakra blends with it so naturally" He reports.

...

"Dismissed" I nod and he flickers back to his post.

Is it possible? That Takumi Uchiha harbours someone far older within him? A jinchurikii of sorts? Or perhaps a possession? Reincarnation? Perhaps a secret jutsu that transfers memories? With the seal my current strongest theory is that he holds something or someone very dangerous within him.

Like Kushina.

... But this is all guess work- I will find out something more concrete before I report, perhaps if this leaks he may shed his mask and unleash that bloodlust on the village. I will... keep this hidden for now, and perhaps talk with Minato about this... maybe... I will think on it.

Takumi Uchiha is not hiding the man beneath.

We have merely been projecting our own image onto him.

How troublesome... I hate being this smart sometimes... it is quite the drag...

...

He is broken. He is limping. He is Dangerous.

I must not let my guard down- not for one second.

I understand it now- how powerful this child really is- his potential boundless, without end.

I shift my stance again, squeezing out all the defensive value I can get and scan Takumi.

Every single movement he makes is processed as a means to kill me- not one twitch of his muscles is labelled as 'just a twitch' in my mind anymore. He has a plan- I can feel it in the way he speaks... the way he said...

Watch me.

Conviction like none other.
