Earth-Shaking Blade.
Pov: Yu Hyuga.
Perfection.
A feat I would consider impossible- I have never seen it nor have I ever even heard of a 'perfect' thing.
Anything labelled as such is a merely a trick- a perfect defence always has a counter out there in the world.
So why? Why am I unable to find a weakness in the Captains swordsmanship?
Even with my byakugan- I cannot find a gap, even a hint of a opening.
I have been training my eyes since my early youth- and have been training myself to death in order to wield this blade in my hands... so why is it- that I am unable to see victory in something as simple as a light hearted spar?
...
"I told you- you are not ready to spar me at this time. It would only hinder your growth, I hope this realization does you some form of good or else you just wasted an entire afternoon" Takumi Uchiha sheathes his blade and walks away.
I grip my blade tightly- breathing out slowly to release my anger as best as I can.
Forget it- Forget him. If I can even learn a scrap of his skills that alone would be enough.
If it comes down to fighting him with swords I will just drop mine- he can read me much easier when I have a sword in hand... not that I am aiming to fight him ever again. Not after my humiliation in the chunin exams.
....
I take a deep breath and readjust my grip- I loosen my shoulders and close my eyes before running chakra through my blade.
Basic practice once more- then I will learn how to pierce defensive jutsu again tonight.

Pov: Saburo Mori.
"{Give up already?}" I ask as Takumi walks over to me.
"{Your tongue is getting better- I congratulate you...}" Takumi responds.
"{Well ever since I started holding... conversation? Conversation with you every day I was bound to speed up my... talking}" I reply in his empires language.
"Hn" He nods and stands by me to watch Yu train.
"{So- I have some more questions today, if you can answer them?}" I inquire.
"Go ahead" Takumi yawns.
How can he yawn? I found him sleeping on my roof this morning... surely he has slept enough to stop being tired?
"{Okay- last time we were talking about Aura, I am still confused on some things... and I was hoping to get a.. a... Example! an Example- perhaps on the origins of Yu's current swordsmanship?}" I turn to look at him.
"{Hn- fine. Yu is currently training using a technique called the [Earth-Shaking Blade]- you weigh your blade down heavily with aura, which I have translated to Chakra for him, Thus his speed shall soar greater when the blade is no longer weighed down}" Takumi explains to me.
"{Earth-Shaking? It looks like a basic set of swings with some added weight... a bit of an overexaggerated name isn't it?}" I ask.
"{All Aura-Arts are derived from another users skills and aspects. The Original creator of the [Earth-Shaking Blade] was capable of shaking the earth with simple movements, His aspect allowed him to do that. So obviously when others tried to mimic it, and create a technique based around it without his aspect- this was created. Mere Weight training.}" Takumi shakes his head.
??
"Don't you need the aspect to use the Aura ability?" I wonder aloud.
"{No- Aspects are an Aura users most powerful abilities... but you can use Aura in the same way you can use Chakra. Compare it to a Visual enhancement Jutsu and how it differs from someone with the sharingan. Born powerful versus mimicked power, if you can call it power}" Takumi scoffs.
I see- Aspects are the 'Bloodline' while Arts are basic Aura usage.
"{So what is the difference in power between the [Earth-Shaking blade] used by the creator and someone who copied it into an Art?}" I question him.
"Heaven and Earth" Takumi states resolutely.
..?
"{I fought the Creator of that Art once- when I was a child and he an old man... I recall him swinging his blade upwards and gravity following the blade- earth splitting, trees uprooting... wind howling... the sight was terrifying- all before he lunged forward simply, and I felt the weight of all that gravity push into me. Hurt like nothing else}" Takumi grinds his teeth.
"{As a child? Did you even have your second aspect at the time? How did you beat him?}" I ask with open eyes.
"{Why do you think I beat him?}" He retorts.
"{I know you did- just tell me}" I beg.
"{Fine- I didn't use my aspect at all actually, I could not match him in power but I could certainly meet his level in skill... I used the [Four-Elements Art] in order to flow with the natural state of the world and stop resisting it- rendering his power meaningless}" He tells me.
"{Huh? Render gravity meaningless?}" I squint at him.
"He did not control gravity. If he did I would have died- he merely affixed Gravity to his blade, with his first Aspect of Affixing. So when I followed the will of gravity, and how the world followed his blade... I could easily flow along the river instead of fighting it head on}" He sighs before explaining further.
"{I get it now}" I nod my head.
Flow with the river- do not fight it.
"{This Elemental art can allow you to do that?}" I look back to Yu and watch him again.
He swings tirelessly, as his chakra weighs the weapon down tremendously.
"{Sort of- I used it as a guide. The Art revolves around four move sets, Raging Water, Passionate Flame, Panicked Quake and Hollow Breeze. Each set of moves focuses on moving like the elements around you}" Takumi yawns again.
...
"{I was actually friends with that mans son- we trained together for a while and he served me as his Emporer. He had Affixing as well, although he mainly focused on Affixing the Absence of light onto his blade}" Takumi suddenly speaks up again.
"{Absence of Light? Like shadows? How does that work??}" I ask in bewilderment.
"{Lucius can cut the light out of an area- the greater the slash the better the affect, he has a certain technique that can take the warmth of the sun out of a mans body. Thrilling research into Affixing and it's long line of Aspect wielders}" He nods, recalling an old friend.
"{I thought Aspects were unique to a person?}" I tilt my head.
{"Sure- but you can train a young child to embody a certain Aspect as he grows... or some bloodlines hold the perfect genes for the right Aspect, in his families case- most are born with Affixing- though their have been a patches in history where it doesn't get found}" Takumi gestures nonchalantly as he explains a bit more.
Huh... that's cool.
"{So- you cannot actually wield the same blade-work you once did can you? Without the aspect of sharpness?}" I ask.
"{Unfortunately- From mountain cleaving to basic sword clashing, it is humbling without a doubt... but...}" Takumi focuses on his hands.
"{But?}" I ask further.
"{Chakra is something else- more open, more versatile... and if you use it right you are capable of intense growth. Aura can never mimic another's Aspect, But with Chakra you have a chance to. I could re-learn how to apply sharpness to myself, as if I had the aspect}" He clenches his fist.
"{Too much work?}" I answer for him.
"{...Something like that}" Takumi shakes his head.
...
"{You continue your training. I am going to go see how comfortable the Second Hokage's head is}" Takumi yawns and begins walking away.
I wave as he walks off and my gaze slowly drifts back to Yu... could Yu actually shake the earth if he tried? Using a unique jutsu that affixes gravity to your chakra?
Nah- if there was a Jutsu like that the creator would have been a God amongst the shinobi- much like our lord first.
...
Hn- He was born with the ability to use wood jutsu wasn't he? His 'Aspect' in a sense... I wonder why no one can mimic that ability? Even if to a lower degree of power. Is there Aspects in the Empire that no one can replicate? Surely right? I should have asked before he left... more questions for tomorrow I suppose.
I better get training anyway- my break is over and I need to beat my top speed this month.
"Oi- Guide me!" I yell out as I drop my shirt and lower my body to the earth... getting ready to slide forward.
I wonder if Captain knows anyone with the aspect of speed? I would be interested in knowing how they fought at such intense speeds without the ability to look around them... maybe he does have a technique up his sleeve to help me... and I need to be fast enough to learn that? Maybe after I learn the rest of my forms?
I better get faster quicker then-
"Got it!" Yu yells out and begins signalling me with his offhand.
*Woosh!*
And I begin to slide- instantly accelerating to a greater speed, weaving through the trees and focusing my chakra on Yu's... so I can see where to go next.

Pov: Kakashi Hatake.
...
"Why are you asleep up here? I have been looking for you" I ask confused.
"It is terribly uncomfortable" Takumi rolls over to look at me, as he lays down on the head of our second Hokage.
...?
"I was assigned a mission with your team- I know you don't go on the missions most of the time but I need a signature from the captain to get permission to lead your squad and more importantly- get payed for that mission" I kneel down and hand him the scroll with a pencil.
"Alright- When are you leaving, what are you doing?" He yawns and opens the scroll.
"Hunting a target, we leave tomorrow... I was told this would be an A-rank mission, the other two haven't gone on one of those without you right?" I question him.
"Nope. But they wont disappoint you... with this target you may overestimate their abilities actually, Saburo can handle the Shinobi around him and Yu can dismantle this man if he fights as the description states. I would focus on watching over them and commanding the entire mission, covering only when you need to cover them. Let Saburo build up speed before arrival and engage as soon as you spot them. Yu will rashly leap at the main target so don't get pissed at him for acting up, he will not regret his actions or care" Takumi informs me on some things and I nod along.
Saburo is focused on speed... so I will allow us to engage as soon as possible- Takumi knows this team better than me anyway. But Yu refusing orders...
"Have you talked to Yu about this behaviour?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Yes, but I memorized certain names of Shinobi from Iwa- Just in case Yu needed to face them... No matter how well he has trained his anger it will burst forth against one of the men who destroyed his life" Takumi yawns.
Oh. Revenge, I see now...
"Thanks for the heads up, I will ensure his safety while his... Anger is released" I stand up and take the signed scroll and pencil back.
"Thank you. I know it is a burden on you to babysit a team- but I can assure you they will not make too much of a fuss" Takumi waves me away.
"Hm" I nod my head and begin to walk away.
"When you get back- I wish to try out this new café at the corner of my street" Takumi closes his eyes and rolls back over.
I freeze, thinking about it.
...
Why can't I say no to him like the others...?
"... Hm" I make an agreeable noise and flicker off the second Hokage's head.
Thanks for reading! :)
