God Crafter

**Chapter 53: core realm**

He found the place two hours before dawn, a rock spire jutting out from the continent's northern coastline, far enough from any settlement that the only Mana signatures within his Domain's reach belonged to seabirds and the wind.

He'd learned his lesson about populated spaces weeks ago, on a maintenance platform that had cracked under far less than what he was about to attempt now.

He sat at the spire's peak and opened his system inventory and brought out a B ranked core, as even though he was at the ceiling of B rank he was still ultimately C rank he needed to cross the threshold.

But before that he called up his system interface

[WORLD SYSTEM]

---------------------------------------

[STATUS]

[NAME: KAI VOSS]

[RANK: C]

[CULTIVATION: SPIRIT REALM LAYER 9]

[STR: 10,000]

[AGI: 10,000]

[END: 10,000]

[MAN: 10,000]

[PER: 10,000]

[LUK: 100]

[FREE ATTRIBUTE POINTS: 500M]

"Damn my attribute points crossed five hundred million. That tide was worth almost dieing for and now to finally cross into B rank"

He'd already done the hard part in Vasthold's aftermath, three sleepless nights spent turning the mechanics over in his head instead of letting himself simply rest. His stats had sat capped at the B-rank ceiling since the tide — ten thousand across every primary stat, the threshold requirement for Talent advancement not just met but maxed out completely.

His Talent rank hadn't followed. The override pill had dissolved the ceiling on his stats. It had never touched the classification itself, and classification required its own separate ritual: threshold met, a core of the target rank absorbed, and the Baptism survived.

He picked up the B rank core and sent a strand of mana to the core and he began to absorb it, triggering his simultaneous break through.

After fully absorbing the core he felt it, his Talent framework expanded it felt like there was more room now to accommodate something new, evolved and stronger abilities that he would receive.

He felt the world's hard cap on his body dissolve he could make that step into B rank now but not yet

He converted two hundred and fifty million attribute points into pure energy and pushed it into his cultivation base.

A loud crack came from the ground as the energy surrounding him was beginning to affect the environment. Kai started gathering all the energy in his dantian shaping it into a ball, at first it felt like trying to grab air the energy responded slowly as if resisting control but Kai used some of the energy he had just converted and forced the one in his dantian to converge

and then it began to take the outline of a ball a few seconds passed and all the energy floating in his dantian had been coalesced into a solid ball it was the size of a tennis it hovered in the void of his dantian it's structure almost failing before Kai stabilized it with pure will.

Now that he had completed both prerequisites he sent the pure concentrated energy into his cultivation base and simultaneously pushed for B rank.

The energy hit him at once like massive wave trying to drown him, it rippled outward sending shockwaves.

the energy slammed at the threshold stopping him from taking that step into core formation realm.

His solid core began to spin slowly at first then faster and faster as the energy slammed continuously at the threshold creating cracks and then finally with a roar he shattered the ceiling and broke through his cultivation realm

at the same time the remaining energy rushed into the solid core and began to change the quality of his energy in his core it became denser and thicker.

At the same time he finally entered B rank, the final shockwave shot out as Kai opened his eyes and felt it.

his existence had gone through a major change the world didn't just bend around him it conformed, shadows grew longer in his presence space felt malleable to him as he took a step forward and observed the physical and spiritual changes.

He felt like a true God.

Then a notification brought his attention back from his revelry

[TALENT RANK ADVANCEMENT COMPLETE]

[Eternal Shadow Sovereign — C-rank Potential → B-rank Potential]

[New Abilities Available: 4 | Unlocking upon stabilization]

He was, officially, B-rank.

He almost laughed. The stats had been sitting there for three days already, waiting for the paperwork to catch up.

---

The four abilities announced themselves one at a time, the way they always did, quiet and complete rather than dramatic.

**[Ability Unlocked: Sovereign's Grasp — Absolute]**

*Void Sovereign's Grasp evolved. Force applied is no longer capped at full STR equivalent — scales with total Mana committed. Range extended to twice Domain radius.*

**[Ability Unlocked: Twin Shadow Selves]**

[Ability Unlocked: shadow puppet ]

**Note this ability has a special effect once activated**

**[Ability Unlocked: shadow king]**

All shadows obey you, you can steal a person or any living or non living thing shadow to add to your own killing that life form instantly.

This scales with domain

You can call on your shadow to fight for or with you it possesses all your powers and battle instincts

It can evolve by devouring other life form shadows.

He read that last one twice.

*Shadow king*

He couldn't help but laugh "hehehe I'm both a king and sovereign" this abilities were practically cheats.

He took a look at his shadow and he could swear it moved out of sync from him for a split second before returning to normal.

He shook his head and turned away he would need to train with these abilities extensively.

---

He looked at his own hand — steady now, the tremor from Vasthold long gone — and felt the honest, uncomfortable size of the gap still ahead of him.

An investigator arriving in three days, carrying a letter that meant the world already knew his name.

*One thing at a time,* he told himself, the same discipline that had carried him from an alley to this spire. *Same as always. Peak everything. Then climb.*

He stepped into the shadow network, it felt smoother like passing through a doorway and arriving on the other side without any turbulence

Before when he used the shadow network he could hear voices see things in the network that would drive a regular human mind to insanity he didn't dare to linger long and passed through quickly.

But now the whole network was quiet, the corruptive voices quickly quieted and those undescribeable beings retreated farther into the shadows as if acknowledging that it's king was passing through.

the rock spire and the empty water falling away behind him, and went to find somewhere to prepare for whatever the next three days actually asked of him.
