Chapter 86: I Love You Too
Cain was struck by a shock that rattled his very foundation, a shock that left him with an overwhelming urge to move his arms, to raise his hand and forcefully cover his mouth to stop this rushing delirium. But he collided with a terrifying reality: he was completely paralyzed from the neck down to the tips of his toes!
It did not stop at mere physical paralysis; when he tried to summon his [Magical Core] as a last resort, he found it entirely dormant. It was as if his mana pathways had been completely severed and dissolved under the crushing influence of those cursed flowers.
He had fallen into the trap beautifully!
At that moment, Cain realized he was standing on the edge of a crumbling cliff, and that his end was nigh at the hands of this yandere. That flower he had inhaled so willingly and with such good intentions was no remedy for poison; it was the key to hell... the ultimate truth serum that would strip him of all his armor, leaving him so painfully honest that not a single secret would remain hidden.
In an attempt to escape with the least amount of damage and preserve what was left of his life, he tried to scream in despair:
"Wait!.. I swear to you, I can explain! I truly did not..."
But Lucy cut him off mid-sentence:
"Explain to me... just how much you love me."
Cain was on the verge of losing his mind! He tried with all his might to lock his lips and stop them from moving, knowing full well that uttering such confessions before Lucy would lead her to interrogate him and then kill him in cold blood with a satisfied smile. But his resistance was like trying to block a waterfall with a small palm; his body betrayed him, and he failed to control his tongue, which began to pour out scandals and confessions he wouldn’t have uttered even under the worst torture:
"I... I cannot explain! I used to write entire diaries describing how the first five moments my eyes fell upon you on our first day at the Academy were worth an entire lifetime in my eyes! I only learned and sang the song ’It Is a Cursed Day’ because I noticed your presence at that gloomy poet’s recital! And that collection of bikini swimsuits stored in the castle warehouse in my province never belonged to my sister... I was the one who bought them specifically for you because I dreamed of seeing you wearing them on the beach!"
Cain tried to bite his tongue to sever it, wishing for death over the continuation of this self-exposure, but even his jaw was completely outside his control.
He rolled his eyes in panic, only to see Lucy looking down at him with serene, icy features that remained unchanged, which sent genuine terror through every inch of his being.
She asked him in a quiet, enigmatic tone:
"So... I see. This means you knew from the very beginning that I was the maid, Maxi, didn’t you?"
Cain’s jaw trembled, forcing out the words:
"Yes... yes, I did. I knew your identity from the very first moment."
Lucy was exerting a superhuman effort to suppress her victorious, devilish grin as she posed the next question, which made Cain’s blood run cold:
"In that case... which do you love more? Me... or my body?"
Cain screamed internally: ’If I answer this cursed question, she will undoubtedly tear me limb from limb!’ Yet the magic of the crimson flower ripped the answer from his throat against his will:
"Both!.. I love everything about you! I love all your movements, the way you speak, the tone of your voice... I love looking at your gleaming lips as they move and speak... I love everything... everything without exception!"
It was incredibly difficult for Lucy not to burst out laughing in pure vanity, but she maintained her mask of coldness; she absolutely adored the sight of a terrified, trembling Cain being forced to court her and acknowledge his long-suppressed passion.
She asked him again, tilting her head:
"Do you know that you are Amelia’s real father? And since when did you know?"
Cain screamed in his mind in despair: ’Nooooo! Please stop!’ But the words poured out like a flood:
"Yes... yes, I know! From the very first moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was my daughter!"
"Then... why didn’t you tell her from the beginning that you were her father?"
Cain surrendered entirely to his fate. His spiritual shoulders slumped as he realized he was a dead man walking, and that all his magical or psychological defense mechanisms had vanished:
"I was afraid... I was terrified that you would feel I was that despicable scoundrel who took advantage of our vulnerability that night and fled, failing to take responsibility for his actions or care for you... But truly, from the bottom of my heart, I wanted so desperately to scream in her face and tell her that I am her father."
At this, Lucy could no longer resist; a smile that was both warm and wicked painted itself across her lips at his sincere words.
She asked him, her eyes gleaming with the hunger of a yandere:
"If we could measure your love for me by the phrase ’I love you, Lucy’... how many times would you say it to me?"
Cain replied in a completely submissive tone:
"Until I draw my last breath and die..."
Cain did not notice the devilish smile that crept onto her face, as he had already turned his head to the side, staring at the grass in despair.
"Then say it... let me see and measure the extent of this love."
’Damn it!.. What a humiliating, degrading way to die for an Immortal mage like me!’ Cain thought bitterly. But his tongue gave him no choice, launching into a repetition of the words one after another like a programmed machine, as he stared at the sky, resigned to his final fate:
"I love you, Lucy..."
"I love you, Lucy..."
"I love you, Lucy..."
And he did not stop.
The words continued to escape his mouth involuntarily, over and over, until he lost the ability to count them.
Cain’s tongue did not stop babbling the confession, while every single word he uttered acted as fuel, igniting the passionate fires within Lucy’s body and heightening that aching longing and warm tingle between her thighs to the point of madness.
Cain was certain that these were the final moments of his life, and that the time for his destruction had come.
Lucy asked him in a tone intoxicated with pleasure:
"Do you truly love me that much?"
Cain could only speak with complete, weak honesty:
"Yes..."
Cain turned to look at her, his eyes flooded with the look of a victim resigned to his fate...
But Lucy whispered in a warm, deep tone, her eyes shining with boundless obsession:
"And I, too... love you."
And suddenly, with shocking force, Lucy pounced on him with her entire body, embracing his paralyzed frame with a heat and strength that nearly cracked his ribs, burying her face in his bare chest amidst a panic and bewilderment from Cain that transcended all limits!
