Chapter 252: Feeling Guilty Like a Thief
Upon returning to Konoha, Yako found the village completely peaceful.
He stepped onto a rooftop and gazed in the direction of the Shimura Clan's compound.
Those who wielded a kunai had to be prepared to die by one.
Since Danzo had initiated this bottomless infighting, he had to be prepared to fall victim to it.
The destruction of the Uzumaki Clan was one thing. The upper echelons of Konoha standing by and watching coldly was heartless enough, but Danzo personally stepping in to sell their intelligence was his first major sin.
When it came to ninja position recommendations, the Upper Five Clans were aggressively greedy, gorging themselves and leaving only foul scraps for everyone else. This was the second major sin.
As for the other vile deeds committed by the village's top brass, both known and unknown to Yako, there were simply too many to count.
These high-ranking officials were old but refused to die. It would be one thing if they merely occupied powerful positions without actually doing any work, but they actively smeared shit on everyone else in Konoha. It was repulsive.
It was time to turn up the heat on that old thief, Danzo.
