Under the veil of night, over a hundred tents sat pitched inside the Daimyo's camp.
Samurai carrying torches patrolled the paths between them.
Yako turned to Yuka and the other two. "During the fight ahead, there will be too many eyes around. It's inevitable that some of our details will slip out.
"Things like our numbers and our builds.
"The path of vengeance was never going to be smooth sailing. We all need to be ready to pay the price."
Yuka said, "Fox, you're the one slipping right up to the Daimyo for the kill—you're taking on the biggest risk. We're just causing a distraction on the perimeter. You need to be even more careful."
Yako said, "It's fine. It's just twelve guardian ninja under a mere Daimyo. I'm confident I can handle them.
"Especially since four of them are shinobi from the Shimura Clan, and three of those four are total washouts.
"The only one presenting any real threat is the guardian ninja captain, Kohi Shimura."
