Chapter 216: The Future of Konoha
Seeing Orochimaru stand up, the Third Hokage cast an inquiring look at Danzo.
Orochimaru was currently a root ninja. If he was taking a stance, hadn't he discussed it with Danzo beforehand?
Danzo kept his eyes half-closed. Hiruzen Sarutobi's disciples are pulling another subordinate rebelling against superior stunt, he thought. Not a single one of them listens.
Nawaki's death had left Orochimaru harboring guilt toward Tsunade.
Seeing Tsunade's resolute attitude, Orochimaru was prepared to help her.
"I've been a bit busy lately," Orochimaru said, "and forgot to submit my Jonin recommendations.
It seems there is a lot of controversy over the Jonin recommendations this time. Why not wait for me? You can re-evaluate everything together once I hand in my list."
Tsunade turned to look at Orochimaru beside her, unsure why he wanted to delay this round of Jonin recommendations.
Orochimaru also had a group of subordinates at his side.
