The Sand ninja formed a tight circle, marveling at the sheer idiocy of their target. They had succeeded far too easily.
Caught in a barrage of kunai and three Explosive Tags, he was undoubtedly dead.
But a voice rang out from the thick smoke of the detonation:
"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"
A high-speed, high-pressure line of water shot outward, sweeping a horizontal arc right through the encircling Sand ninja.
The fierce water jet cleanly severed several Sand ninja at the waist, slicing the explosion's smoke screen in half along with them.
By the time the harsh winds carried the lingering smoke away, Yako was still standing exactly where he had been. He hadn't fallen.
Leaf Monkey stared in shock. His squadron captain's uniform was torn to shreds, leaving him looking rather disheveled, but there wasn't a single drop of blood on his skin.
"What are you waiting for! Throw the poison gourd!"
