Chapter 116: Chodai Hatake
After leaving the three squads to keep watch on the Senju Clan, Yako left the village alone on a reconnaissance mission.
His target was Shinmei, a thirty-two-year-old Chunin and one of Hatake Sakumo's loyal followers. Among the man's supporters, Shinmei was on the older side, yet he never missed a single gathering.
For a ninja to live to thirty-two meant that even if his raw power wasn't top-tier, his experience on the field was formidable.
Hatake Sakumo was famous for cherishing his comrades and treating everyone with absolute sincerity. Whenever he finished a mission, he inevitably formed close friendships with every member of his squad.
He and his circle met frequently, giving him a sterling reputation among ordinary ninja and clan members alike.
His friends routinely gathered at his home, or they filled up barbecue spots and izakayas together.
In Hatake Sakumo's eyes, every friend was a treasure to be valued. After all, by the next time they met, he might be visiting one of them at the Memorial Stone.
Arriving at the village gates, Yako spotted his target squad.
Their captain was Senzu Sarutobi, a fourteen-year-old Special Jonin. The remaining three members were all Chunin.
