Matetsu glanced at Yako's attire and asked, "What is a Konoha Anbu like you doing here in the Yoshioka Mountain Range instead of dealing with Hanzo?"
Yako hung by one hand from a kunai wedged into the stone wall. With a flex of his arm, he swung himself up in a wide arc and landed firmly atop the kunai.
He said, "You washed the people of an entire town and over a dozen villages down into the karst cave sewers of the Yoshioka Mountain Range, and now you want to stick your nose into my business? What do you care which village's Anbu I am?"
Yako felt a profound sense of alienation from this world. He possessed little sympathy for its people and never considered himself a good person.
However, Matetsu's actions were simply too inhuman even for him.

Matetsu laughed out of sheer anger. "Are the youths of Konoha all this eager to die nowadays?"
Over twenty Sand ninja landed behind Matetsu, confronting the Fox Anbu perched on the stone wall.
Yako probed the wound Matetsu's Wind Release had just sliced into him. It wouldn't hinder his movements too much. "I am not afraid to die right now," he said. "So, what are you going to do about it?"
