Chapter 98: A Grand Investigation Team
After Danzo left, even the air in the heavy rain felt damp and sweet.
Yako stood on a tree trunk, gazing into the distance through a telescope.
Kinoto was on the other side of the Deep Forest Emergence, keeping a wary eye on the distance—and on Fox.
The location Uchiha Madara had chosen was incredibly remote. The rain fell harder here than anywhere else in the Land of Rain, and there was no human activity or ninja presence nearby.
Days passed, and Yako and Kinoto exchanged no words.
Yako knew that just a few days ago, Kinoto had suggested to Danzo that they kill him to silence him. This guy was likely Aburame Tatsuma from the original story.
'Aburame Tatsuma, you'd better never leave Danzo's side,' Yako thought.
A trip from the southern Land of Rain back to Konoha took seven days.
Even if Danzo hashed out a plan with Hiruzen Sarutobi within an hour or two of arriving and set off immediately, the round trip would still take fourteen days.
