Chapter 26: Hell Splitting Dog
Outside Uzushiogakure, a spirit turtle as large as a small mountain was slowly crawling toward the village.
Its shell was double-layered. The scutes on its belly could open to form a ramp. The Uzushiogakure villagers ducked beneath its belly, climbed the ramp, and disappeared inside.
The spirit turtle of Uzushiogakure was actually the village's mobile shelter.
The spirit turtle continuously spewed fierce gales from its mouth, blowing away the Cloud Ninja attacking its head.
As for its hard shell, the Cloud Ninja's methods had no effect.
Yako watched the spirit turtle, lost in thought. If someone disguised themselves as an Uzushiogakure villager and entered the shelter, wouldn't it be over if the internal defenses were insufficient?
The spirit turtle moved extremely slowly; it was unable to distinguish whether the people beneath its belly were Cloud Ninja spies or villagers.
A few minutes later, the spirit turtle left large swaths of bloodstains wherever it passed.
The vibrations from within caused the spirit turtle to let out mournful cries.
