When I came up with the title of this book and the cheat in the first chapter, I knew it would be difficult for this story to exceed 1.5 million words.
Although there is some regret in wrapping it up at just over 1.2 million words, I was mentally prepared for this early on.
Regarding the results...
The stats were abysmal for the first 80,000 words. I was only able to sign a contract because my editor gave me a hand past that mark.
Stumbling along, I somehow managed to hit ten thousand subscriptions. It really is a miracle. I heard a top-tier author writing a Batman fanfic also hit ten thousand subscriptions after signing at 100,000 words, which is even more miraculous.
Regarding criticism...
Every reader who likes Hokage fanfiction has their own understanding of Hokage. When the descriptions in this book conflicted with their views, those readers would criticize me without mercy.
I interacted with my readers very little, simply because I didn't even dare to open the comment section.
Fortunately, I have a thick skin. My pacing wasn't affected much, and I managed to write a complete story in the end.
