After arranging affairs in the Land of Earth Capital, Yako rendezvoused with Orochimaru and led the Konoha Ninja Force toward the Hidden Stone Village.
During a rest break on their journey, Orochimaru, having largely figured out what Fox had done in the Land of Earth Capital, struck up a conversation.
"Fox, to think you didn't kill all the nobles in the capital."
"Lord Orochimaru, do I really look like the kind of ninja who kills without blinking an eye? Kill them all? Wouldn't that mean killing thousands of people?"
"Heh." Orochimaru sneered. "Would numbers ever be an obstacle to your killing?
"For whatever reason, I've noticed you harbor a great deal of malice toward the nobles.
"For thousands of years, the ninja world has been ruled by the various Daimyo families. Everyone is accustomed to them.
"While ordinary ninja do not fear nobles, they maintain a basic respect for the Daimyo. Only you seem to hold such hostility toward the Daimyo families.
"You wiped out the Daimyo's family inside Tenshu Castle with two Dust Releases. Fine, let that pass. I thought you would appoint a puppet Daimyo, but to my surprise, you established some sort of United Government.
