Following his proposal for Namikaze Minato to assassinate the Kazekage, Fox put forth yet another unbelievable plan: appointing Bell Uchiha as a battlefield commander-in-chief.
This directly contradicted Konoha's long-standing policy of suppressing the Uchiha clan.
Inside the Hokage's Office, the other high-ranking officials seemed to oppose Fox's decision—or at the very least, they struggled to understand it.
Yako swept his gaze across everyone's faces, his stance unwavering.
"Lord Hokage, Commander Shikatsuno, Advisor Tsunade—do not let conventional thinking constrain you," he said.
"Bell Uchiha served as the deputy commander of the Land of Whirlpools battlefield during the Second Great Ninja War. He is forty years old this year, in the prime of his life. He is more than capable of serving as a commander-in-chief.
"As for Commander Shikatsuno's concerns about the Uchiha clan's overall strength and their lack of Kage Level ninja... that is completely unnecessary.
"A few years ago, the Uchiha clan sent an elite force to the Land of Rain to investigate Uchiha Madara, and they lost several men.
"But following that battle, both Goka Uchiha and Uchiha Toka successively awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.
