After using the Flying Thunder God to send Tsunade back to the village, Yako immediately returned to the tree crevice where he had been resting.
It was a pity he had only gotten to enjoy Tsunade's lips.
He had sacrificed so much for Konoha. Yako was practically moved to tears by his own dedication; he would just have to thoroughly comfort Tsunade once he returned to the village.
As Yako stepped out of the crevice, Hakuyo and the others immediately gathered around him.
Flower Deer leaned in. "Lord Fox, you look much better! To think you recovered so quickly after a massive battle with Uchiha Madara!"
Yako froze, hurriedly reaching up to check his mask.
He was still wearing it. It gave him a start—he thought he had forgotten to put it back on after kissing Tsunade.
Yako rolled his eyes at Flower Deer.
This was exactly why Flower Deer was only a squad leader; Yako had never once considered promoting him to division captain.
